  • Bumpin this to find it later, as I'm beyond confused and afraid to eat over 1600 cal. a day and my doctor wants me to eat less than 1500 a day. I'm barely losing weight and getting beyond frustrated. According to fat2fit, i should be eating 2471 a day, holy hannah, I'd be bed bound fat if I ate that much. Sherry
  • I have that same problem and its sooooo very frustrating!!! I'd like to just see less and less everyday on the scale, but it doesn't happen that way for me and I hate it. My weight sometimes can vary by 5 pounds, yet I pretty much do the same thing every day. I go to a weight loss club once a week and pretty much hold my…
  • I've been in and out of TOPS since I was a pre-teen, lose weight...quit..gain weight...join again...lose weight...quit and on and on, until I was about 22. I didn't return again until I was 38 and had lost all control, the group I normally had went to folded, so I had to find a different group. In July 2006 I found a group…
  • Anyone know how the fitbit compares to the body bugg?? Thanks, Sherry
  • Yeah...see, I don't understand that BMR either, if I went by BMR, I'd be gaining weight for sure. I wouldn't lower my calories to much more if I were you, but find what works for you, maybe try lowering to 1400 a day plus exercise. Remember though, you want to lose slow 1 - 2 pounds a week, you'll have a better chance of…
  • If your around 33 years old, then that BMR is correct. If your staying within your calorie limit and exercising, I don't know what to tell you, other than keep at it and it has to come off. Don't go below 1200 calories, that could be dangerous. Are you taking your measurements? Maybe your losing inches right now, muscle…
  • I don't know why, but the BMR/MFP thingy doesn't work for me, if I ate the amount of calories it says I can, I'm sure to gain weight. I stayed under 1600 calories last week and only lost .50, that is about 300 less than what BMR says I can eat. But I have a lot of health problems that effects my metabolism, so I'm guessing…
  • I can love who I am, because my fatness is not who I am. There are days I do feel beautiful, sexy and whatever else was in that poem, it is irritating to hear your whole life, as I have....."what a pretty face, if only you could lose weight", as if fatness is unlovable, it really does something to ones (my) self-esteem.…
  • I don't pay attention to anyone at the gym, I'm more worried about people looking at me not giving a crap because I'm there to work out and sweat. I have worn make-up to the gym only because I already had it on before going to the gym, like I use to go right after work......but some would sweat off and some of its…
  • Thanks again everyone!! I love reading all the responses. I wouldn't do anything without a ton of research and will try to get information out of my doctor. But I sometimes feel my doctor or other doctors I've been with, don't always look at your records and just blurt out to take whatever....for example...I'm allergic to…
  • Thank you everyone for your insights, I like to research everything before doing anything and I like to hear what works for others. I will try to ask the doctor again, but she doesn't really let you ask more than one question, she doesn't have time and without health insurance, I have to take what I can get. Thanks again,…
  • I lost 80#'s on the old WW points system, but then....just like counting calories, meaning weighing and measuring EVERYTHING, gets boring...so I stopped doing WW. Last year when the new point system came out, I went back to WW and it is VERY expensive, bought all the stuff needed to calculate points (with the new points…
