Before Jay Leno was on TV on the Tonight Show, a friend of mine and I saw him do a routine at a not so great bar, I think it was called the Back Door. I didn't think he was very funny! As best I can remember, it was the late 70s or early 80s.

I was in a school play, and I won't say what I was dressed up as, but one of my teachers asked me what did I use for stuffing? When I said nothing, he turned and walked off, totally embarrassed. I think I went on a diet soon after that!

I agree, that does seem extreme! My husband and I have been married for almost 30 years, and started dating when we were 16. There have been some dumb comments made on both sides, but that's not who we are all of the time.:love:

I think it was a little jerky, though maybe with good intentions. If I had been him, I might have just said that it was an event that required extra special care in dress, and forget the comment about the ex-girlfriend.

I have a hybrid bike, and have had it for 18 years! It is just as fine after all this time, though the front fork needed to be replaced due to a stupid maneuver. It is a great bike, and at this point, I don't look to change.

I'm glad this thread is back! HA! My dad was an English teacher and he corrected me and my brothers and sisters all of the time. I started correcting my kids when they learned to speak, and I didn't even think twice about doing it. It came naturally! My dad did laugh out loud over several spelling errors he had to correct;…

HA! I laugh every time I see that! Accept and except are frequently messed up. Recently, on a doctor's sign, it read: Excepting new patients :laugh:

I used to think walking wasn't exercise until I started doing it on a regular basis. I started when I had to take my daughter to a 1 hour class, and while waiting I started walking! It is DEFINITELY exercise! Now I walk about 10-12 miles a week.

I did my workout today! Now it's time to see what everyone else has done!

I LOVE coffee! I have tried it all ways, including black, but right now I only use half-n-half, no sugar. If I'm eating dessert, then I usually prefer my coffee black.

I remember my sister using Denise Austin videos, and laughing when she told me how Denise said something like "stretch your neck from head to toe!" I'd like to see that!!

I put it on the table for my husband to use on his food!

Gin Miller in a VHS video that came with the Reebok step my husband bought me for Christmas. I lost a lot of weight with that video! That was about 15 years ago.
