WEAR SHOES!!!!!! Seriously, I didn't wear them and did exercise videos when I was visiting my parents for FOUR DAYS in January. On day 4 I tore a tendon in my foot and couldn't work out or do any sport for FOUR MONTHS. It was the most painful thing I've ever done and it still aches now.

Does the name of this thread make any one else crave chocolate WHENEVER they see it?!

reply to 'we're no strangers': '...yes, we are.' hmmmm!

this is great! I sent 'you know the rules and so do I.' reply: what rules? I'm gonna send the other one back, and see what they say

you look incredible! :)

Almost every moment of every day. I'm so clumsy that when someone said to me last week 'the funniest moment of last year was at that pancake party when you accidently flipped a pancake on your own head' it took me 5 minutes to remember it. that stuff is just an everyday part of my life! It's so bad that, when my housemates…

I was soooooo cold this morning and FORCED myself out of bed. I was cold under the hot shower, and am still freezing now! I've bought loads of thermal vests, and right now (little NSV?) I'm wearing an old thermal vest of my sister's; it's a chldren's 13-14 (UK) and I even opened the door in it because it isn't that tight!…

You look great! There is definitely a difference! I know what you mean though. Didn't see my parents for 3 months, then they are shocked at how thin I got. And it was only then I noticed that I hadn't undone buttons on any of my clothes for a month! Strangely, now I'm focusing on losing weight, I see myself as bigger than…

I made some homemade crisps by slicing carrot really thinly and baking the pieces. They were really tasty, but could maybe have done with some salt! Someone had a really yummy looking kale recipe on here at some point- might be worth a search!

Be careful of swimming. I tore a tendon across the bottom of my foot in January, and it still isn't right because I carried on doing things on it. I found swimming hurt a lot because I tensed and flexed my foot in the water, and ended up breaking a bone trying to walk. I wish I had rested it to begin with! Maybe rest your…

interesting question, and i think it does to some extent. i'm in england, and from the north. historically the north was (and still is) poorer so people used to eat really carb-y foods so that they were full with less food (like, some families used to make people eat a yorkshire pudding before they were allowed their main…

I got a job interview!!!! And I've applied to over 50 places since June and never heard anything until today!

I don't know if its right, but someone once told me that you gain weight (muscles retaining water) after a work out. Because I work out in the evenings I normally weigh in first thing on the morning after a rest day. I don't know if the muscle-water thing is true though, or how long it would retain the water for!

I do Jillian Michael's six week six pack- I'm not actually aiming for a six pack, and I can never seem to do it for more than maybe 4 days in a row at a time, but my stomach is definitely flatter after about 3 days of it- it's only 25 mins long, and you can find it online for free. It's really good- it's effective but…

I use firefox and get them too- only the recurring one on mine is 'cut down a bit of fat every day using this one weird old tip'. Clicking on it to see what it is, and its one of those fake acaia berry ones. SO ANNOYING. Or sometimes McDonalds, or Subway... Really useful  How do you install these add-blockers?

bump- they look delicious!

Just ate almost a whole tesco lemon monkey pie as procrastination from revision... :embarassed:

Sometimes I think i look really young, other times really old (like, 30! Ancient!) i'm actually 20 in a month, but I answered the door the other day and the sales guy asked if my parents were in! But then other times I'll be stopped in the street by people who want to know if I've set up my pension yet. I'm never sure…

I have this problem with elderly relatives, but i think its cos they are seeing how much less of me there is now compared to how much there used to be- I know I still have a bit to lose, and so don't take them seriously. I think it might be partly a shock-thing- they were expecting the same old you maybe! Think of it as a…

job-hunt. :) I'm a student and work at the college library in term-time, and really struggling to find any other work. this is my coffee-break from applications :)

I have a scale question too... I got some new scales and used them for the first time this morning- they said weight was pretty much what I expected it to be, but they have body fat %, lean body weight %, water weight % etc. I'm no maths genius, but shouldn't these add up to 100? it said i was 70% water, 18%fat and 60%…

good point! So confused...

bump :)

local green grocers can surprise you. I go some raspberries from tesco for £1.99 (at half price) AND they were arranged so you couldn't see the huge pile of mould unitl you opened them. went to the green grocers and they are £1.50 per punnett- a lot cheaper and also local, fresh and not mouldy!

bump! I have the exact same problem. Now have a tiny waist and a fairly flat stomach and still look chubby because I can't get rid of the muffin top, even though my jeans won't stay up. So annoying. I'm hoping it is just the last place for it to come off, and that it will with some more work :)

just joined :)

Hi! Am I OK to join? Sounds good! SW is 135.8lbs GW is 130lbs keep on bouncing the last 10lbs or so- time to get back on it! :)

I get tesco value porridge and make it up with water, and it's 190cals for a HUGE bowl- I struggle to eat it (although I don't love porridge, its more of a when-i-run-out-of-food thing for me)

i get mcdonalds a lot.. and then those annoying ones like 'lose 12kg in 2 weeks' and 'the horrifying truth about xyz diet pill' - i don't know what is worse, that they come up at all, that they are all the same, or that the designers go to the trouble of designing multiple websites and reviews to con people. :explode:

carried on with my workout on the cross trainer even though I dropped my inhaler and really wanted to stop- didn't need it that badly and managed to not make the excuse :)
