I wa doing the same thing! I would go to the gym burn 500+ calories and I wasn't losing...I mean I have some health issues that make it more difficult to lose, but still!! I love the trainer. I wish I could afford more then 1 time a week.

I do have a personal trainer. I've had 3 sessions with him. I do see a significant change in inches. My friend and I do buddy training so he gets our competitive side out and it can get messy lol... I would splurge for a few sessions as he/she will give you new exercises that you wouldn't even think of.

You don't need friends like that! I used to be friends with someone that if we went shopping she'd ask what size I was getting something in and be like o ok and get it a size smaller. Friends are supposed to be supportive and not compete with eachother. You don't need that in your life.

My friend hurt her back the first time she did them...She was not positioned correctly. Once she positioned herself correctly it didn't hurt anymore.

Once your heart rate is past its target zone you're really not doing anything except exhausting yourself. If your doing the machine at a steady pace, but are in your target heart rate zone you're fine.

Well they told us when you do cardio that you do not need to do more than 30 minutes. My friend and I try to go to the gym 3-4 times a week, which is what they recommend, but they also don't want us going nuts on the cardio machines. The trainers at my gym told me that doing too much cardio can actually increase you're BMI because you're burning muscle and not fat.

Don't do it! One of my co-worker's sister now has heart problems from taking diet pills. They don't even help. Do it the right way by eating healthy and exercising...May take a little longer, but it's the better and sure way to lose weight.

I play around with the resistance every song that I listen to on my i-pod. Makes it a little bit harder, but also burn more calories too. I also make it a point sometimes to also not stop until I reach say 3 miles or whatever goal I want to set.
