my favorites are: Westsoy's organic unsweetend vanilla soymilk - I use that in almost everything from cereal to coffee & tea & smoothies If that's not around, I like vanilla rice milk. Almond milk is all good & okay but the flavor isn't always comparable with everything. Someone made me scrambled eggs with almond milk once…

Hi there! I'm a female who's recently started lifting more, about 3-4 times a week. 5'2" and 142 right now, on my way down. I used to be a tiny 105lb dancer who had some health issues & gained 50lbs. Now that I'm healthy & losing it, I also want to gain strength in places I hadn't before (arms/ upper body) in addition to…

Trader Joe's cranberry walnut gorgonzola vinaigrette. They also have a yummy champagne pear gorgonzola vinaigrette.

I was more or less stuck in bed for about 2&1/2 years. That's how I got fat. :p Continuing to eat better for my body is what got me out, & being able to exercise again is what is making me lose weight. Everyone is different.

I work at a gym & a lot of my coworkers have worn them. I haven't tried them myself though. One person wears them pretty much every day so they must be good for lots of things.

Thighs are sexy. I hope regardless of how much weight I lose or how much muscle I build that I always have a butt. And thighs. :)
-
You look awesome! Congrats! Do you mind sharing how tall you are, how long it took you, & what your eating / exercise habits were like? You're an inspiration! :)

When I changed my eating habits to eating mostly real foods & organic when I can I immediately had a change for the better in my health & rarely get sick at all anymore. If I ever feel something creep up on me lemon & cayenne definitely help asap.

Please keep doing cardio! You don't want to be 30 years old & end up with heart issues even though you eat fabulous! As far as the losing weight thing, both cardio & strength training are ideal. They compliment each other. They will help you reach your goals quicker & make you feel great too. :) - NESTA certified

I always eat at night. Just plan for it. It's not the time of day you eat, it's what you eat throughout the day. I can't go to sleep hungry.

Spirulina.

Well, if you don't care about being healthy & just care about being a particular weight.

I don't like the idea of restrictions or limiting or "can't have this, can't have that" idea. I like to think of all the things I NEED to put into my body on a daily basis (fiber goal, hitting 100%+ of my vitamins & nutrients for the day, etc.) and once I get all those, there's not a lot of room left for junk. If there is,…

Will never get a flu shot. I am in the best health of my life times a million being off pharmaceuticals & paying attention to what's actually in the food I eat. And of course practicing good hygiene. :)

Sometimes I'll log a couple things the night before if I'm planning on having them - like my to-go breakfast or a salad & yogurt I prepacked for lunch. Then I usually log on my phone app during the day. Dinner so far is the last thing that's usually up in the air, & sometimes I decide what to have based on what I'm lacking…

I do a detox cleanse about once every couple months, usually for about 5 days at a time. Most of the time when you hear "detox / cleanse" it's some crazy fad, some expensive drinks, or laxatives that make you dehydrated. Cleanses & detoxes have different levels, and you can make them as strict or as lienent as you like,…

Seems like you have 2 simple choices: 1) Get over the porn. 2) Break up with him. End.

Yep! Jan 8th this year I think I started MFP. (My profile says 2010 but that's just when I installed the app on my old phone & didn't even really know about it.)

Unless it's like 30-35+ grams of protein, a protein shake doesn't really fill you up as much as you think it would. Just think of it as a suppliment, like it's supposed to be, & eat something of substance. From your diary, we seem to eat fairly similar. Try upping your protein about 5-10% though & see if it that helps. It…

Hey. Whatever works. I started MFP this year the 2nd week of January. My goal last year was to get healthy enough to start exercising this year. 2 New Years resolutions accomplished for me. I always used to hate it when gyms would be beyond crowded the first 2 months of the year. This year I'm looking forward to it because…

I know most people say don't eat before bed, but I'm one of those people who can't go to sleep hungry otherwise I can't sleep, and if I tried, I'd be in the same position as you - getting up & having to eat. Plan for it. I actually start my log day at midnight (I go to sleep late) so that I don't go over my cals for the…

The thing that bothers me most about this kind of lie is that people are going to take her "way to lose weight" to heart & it's just like taking incorrect medical advice. People are going to believe this fad low-carb diet crap because they saw someone who lost a lot of weight said that's what they did. It's not magic, it's…

From your profile... Your highest was 137. Your ticker was set to lose 40 lbs. You stated to want a healthy mind set as your goal. Even if at your highest is when you started your ticker, you set your goal to be at less than 100 lbs. Unless you're like, 4'8", this is not a healthy mindset. You are 5'6". You want a healthy…

Cheese. A creamy havarti, or fresh mozzarella, or handful of any cheese I could grab in the immediate vicinity...

A whole closet full of clothes... All the clothes I used to wear up until a few years ago... I have a bunch of pants that are a size & 1/2 too small for me right now that my goal is to fit into them by my birthday on January 4th. This Saturday I'm going to wear a dress to a Christmas party that I haven't work in like 3…

You said you are struggling to reach your calories, and you restrict yourself. Stop restricting yourself and maybe you won't have to struggle. If this seems like too difficult a concept, please seek help because you have an already apparent abnormal fear of getting fat while you are already severely underweight. Stop…

Well, to look more "toned and fit" like you want, get to that strength training! Not gonna look fit without muscle. :)

Unless you're drinking a gallon of it a day & not exercising, it's not going to make you gain weight. It doesn't help you lose either. It's a suppliment that is meant to be taken with exercise (or post-workout.) Alone, it's not going to make you do one of the other. That's not the point of protein suppliments like Muscle…

I like Trader Joe's, it's fairly inexpensive (about $13-14 for 15 servings of 130 cals & 17g protein & a bunch of vitamins & minerals.) I use the vanilla which is delish but they have a chocolate too. That being said, protein powder won't make you lose weight or gain muscle, since that's what you seem to be concerned with.…

You're an hourglass. You're only 5'2" (my height) so an 8 inch difference (and equally top & bottom) is significant. Mine used to be something like 34/ 27/ 38 - I've always had a butt, & definitely gain weight around my middle like the females on my mom's side, so I'm more apple-prone.
