I'm 23 :) feel free to add me anyone, I'm always looking to support & be supported on MFP! :)

bump to read later. thanks to the OP for posting this! I'm constantly wondering about this issue since I've always thought starvation mode was a myth as well. nice to have some scientific backup to support my theory. people need to think logically and remember that losing weight is simple math.. calories in < calories out.…

I agree!! a lot of the posts were funny but some were just plain rude!

That sounds right :) but too much of anything even if it's within the calorie range is not good. So she could very well be within her calorie range but be consuming double/triple/quadruple the suggested daily intake of sugar and that would definitely be hazardous to her health. Everything in moderation :)

I agree! Everything in moderation since anything can be bad for you, even too much water. So try to eliminate some of the fruit and eat other snacks that are low calorie, high fiber, preferably with some protein. Good luck!!! :)

Lol your husband sounds a lot like mine :/. Pay him no mind and let your son do what he loves to do! There is nothing feminine about cooking and, if anything, I think it makes a guy so much more intriguing!! It's interesting because, like you said, some of the best chefs in the WORLD are men! But your son seriously sounds…

BUMP that sounds delicious!

^Yup I do this too!! Don't worry, you're doing everything you can by looking up what you're going to eat in advance and logging it so you know how much wiggle room you have. I think you're dealing with eating out very responsibly and now all that's left is for you to just go out and ENJOY your time :)
-
^Couldn't have said it better :)
-
WOW CONGRATULATIONS!! You look AMAZING and your pics are so inspiring to us all! Thank you for sharing your story and I wish you the best of luck as you continue your journey. Keep up the FABULOUS work!! :D

love this and totally agree with it :)

lol I can eat 6 slices or more as well... it's kinda gross when I think about how I used to eat compared to how I look at food now.. and I feel so blessed that I've learned how to moderate food now (except for the occasional cheats of course lol).. but good luck with your goals girl and keep up the good work! :)
-
^Couldn't have said it better! I do all the exact same things for eating out and it totally relieves the calorie counting anxiety AND makes you feel so much better and relaxed so you can actually ENJOY the get together rather than obsessing about the food :). Good luck in your weight loss journey and keep up the good work!…

Like a lot of the other posters said, I haven't given up anything 'forever' because I'm interested in making a lifestyle change not being on a diet just to see temporary changes.. so I've just learned to portion my food now and can have everything I like but according to serving size, etc. :). But the three things I would…

Congratulations on your success, that's awesome! Good luck with your goals & keep up the great work!!! :)

BUMP this was interesting to read and I know I will have this dilemma eventually :S

Tonight I'm going to my friend's 2 year old's bday party and then a Detroit Pistons game! Saturday I'm going to the North American Auto Show in Detroit and then out to dinner with my husband's friend and his wife who are coming from out of town. And Sunday I'm going to an organizational meeting for a human & civil rights…

BUMP this is awesome thank you for sharing!! :)

LOL at all the hilarious responses :D. But to answer your question, Disney World doesn't have many healthy options within the theme park itself besides some really bland (and overpriced) salads, fruits and other generic things. I used to go to Disney World every other year with my family and we used to pack food with us…

I wouldn't delete them if they're not actively losing weight but I would probably do it if they were not logging in for long periods of time and/or they didn't really demonstrate that they are dedicated to reaching their goals via MFP. In the end, it's your friends list and it's all up to you! You have to do what keeps you…

I was actually just thinking the same thing the other day about nobody noticing my weight loss when out of no where a coworker asked me about it. I had been pretty crabby about the issue all month because nobody else (not even my husband or family!) had mentioned anything about it but don't worry, like many of the other…

Welcome to MFP and best of luck on your weight loss journey!! I just went ahead and added you, I hope that's okay :) Look forward to seeing your success!
