  • This is me. If I gain more than a pound, I do change it though. It makes me accountable for my actions though.
  • I will be there very soon. I am getting my Mirena IUD out next Friday. I am currently 34 and will be 35 in April. I would like to continue losing weight, but I am not getting any older. ;) I am talking with my OB about a weight management plan during pregnancy though.
  • Lina, you look great!!!
  • I eat 1 or 2 english muffins (120 calories each). I will sometimes add in an egg white (poached in a cup in the microwave) and add a slice of cheese or ham.
  • Lina, you are too funny.. this shaving leg story is almost as funny as your "gas pump" story.. lol Anyways, she will be ok. Andrew is only a month younger than her and he started daycare right before he turned 3 after being home 100% of the time with my husband (SAHD). He was like her, wanted to talk to the adults since…
  • great inspiration!!
  • great job!!! :-) you are an inspiration!!
  • you can do it!!
  • I'm Kendra. I need to lose 56 pounds, but I have already lost 22 so far (since January). I am 34 years old and live in Texas. :) Anyone can add me as a friend.
  • I don't like veggies either.. lol I normally will grab subway. 6" ham and cheese (no veggies), toasted is only 330 calories. I normally add in the apples or the chips. I also grab taco bell when we are out and in a hurry. Their chicken soft tacos are only 190 calories each. I normally eat 2-3 depending on how many calories…
  • Diet coke addict here too.. I used to drink 2-3 a day. I am now down to 1 a day. I am only allowed 1 in the morning. I do not buy it and have it available at home either. It sucked at first, but I am feeling much better now. The first couple of days did suck, but I did it very slowly though. good luck!
  • I'm trying to find you the link, but I recall it's an extra 500 calories in the 1st trimester, 600 calories in the 2nd and 700-800 in the 3rd. Don't quote me. Still looking for the link though.
  • do you have cable? A lot of cable companies have fitness channels. Do you have a Wii at home? Play some of those games, don't sit down. :-) Do sit ups (put your feet under a table or the edge of a couch). Lift a bag of flour or cans. push ups. jog in place. jump rope. I live in Texas as well, It's freakin hot here!
  • welcome! I'm in Houston too.. you've gotten some great advice already. Are you breastfeeding your 8 month old?
  • the cambells website has tons of ideas. We love their lemon broccoli chicken recipe and they have many others. Another site is the swanson site. There are many recipes that you add chicken broth too, oh so yummy..
  • 1) it happened in the past.. don't dwell on it 2) you have to get some will power (I know it's hard, but you have to or you are creating a pattern) Why are you losing weight? That should be your focus, write it down or look a picture, what ever motivates you. When are going to impulse eat, look at it. that should help you…
  • I do the same thing. I only use the morning weight as my "official" weight though. I use it for accountability, but I know it can vary about 1-3 pounds from morning to night. I am addicted.. lol
  • Organic is awesome. I do think you need to read up on it though. I love my grass-fed beef. (I purchased a cow directly from a local farm so that I can get a better price). I also buy my organic chicken from a local co-op. There are ways to save money. you can also cut out preservaties and HFCS, you will notice a huge…
  • Personally I think they are fine in moderation, but I am one that enjoys to cook and takes left overs the next day. I am also not one for all of the preservatives in them. They are good in a hurry vs grabbing a fast food restaurant. But reading your schedule, I can see how they would be easier. Can you make at least one…
  • I go twice a week. I love it. At first I was a little clumsy, but not I am learning the routines and have a blast! It's fun to work out and enjoy it too.
  • I was curious about that too. I have a HRM (now). Yesterday I used it during my 45 minute zumba class. I am 5 feet tall and currently weight 169 pounds. I burned 271 calories in 45 minutes. I did stay busy the entire time. Before I had the HRM, I was using the Aerobics, general in the exercise section. It was about 15…
  • don't live there, but I was born there, so I had to post :-) hopefully you can find someone in the area on here.. welcome!
  • I chew gum. It keeps my mind and mouth busy.. That is if I can't get away from my desk at work.
  • We all have times when we don't lose. It's normal. Take a deep breath and keep doing what you are doing. Stick with it! Since you are breastfeeding, you should be drinking tons of water. The pound you gained could be water weight. I bet you will see a loss very soon. This is a lifestyle change.. remember it took us a while…
  • chew gum.. that keeps my mind off hunger and just eating because I am bored.
  • My husband was a stay at home dad for 3 years. He just recently went back to work. He enjoyed it but it wore on him. Society seemed to look down on us since I worked and he stayed home. I got him involved in some daddy groups and that really helped him talked to other people and get out of the house more. hugs.. he can…
  • Personally I would invest in the Wii Active over the Wii Fit. Here are my reasons: 1) you aren't required to use the balance board 2) there aren't alot of starts and stops that the Wii Fit has 3) Price 4) you can set up goals 5) the workouts change everyday, therefore keeping my attention.
