I think it's great that you're cutting it out entirely! It'll save money, reduce your affect on the environment, and it's worth learning to like what REAL water tastes like again! You got this! Good luck!!

Another happy reminder that scales can be pretty silly, especially as you get towards the last 10 lbs: http://www.nerdfitness.com/blog/2011/07/21/meet-staci-your-new-powerlifting-super-hero/

I love this post! I'm only 10 days into a Whole30 but am also really noticing the difference! I gotta say, sugar +grains is seriously the worst. I doubt I'll be able to stay away from sugar forever, but just having the knowledge that yes I can live without it is so empowering. So happy you found something that really works!

Not exactly sure what you mean by a "fat bomb" but here's some of my recent strategies for sneaking some healthy fats in my diet: -When I make scrambled eggs in the morning I sneak in about a tablespoon of coconut oil, which adds a really nice flavor -I have no problem downing an entire avocado. I can eat them straight up…

I made Elana's charoset for our seder and it was a big hit for whatever it's worth. we used fresh blood orange juice instead of wine and I think it really added something :)

My whole30 ends april 22! So I'm basically in!

Day 4 and feeling pretty great :) Thanks for all the support y'all! It's great to know I'm not alone!

Yay! Excited for all the support :)

I'm a pretty avid pinner. Here's my food board: http://pinterest.com/munzitto/nom-nomz/ It's not all paleo, but I'd say the most recent pins are all at least primal/low carb. I also have a general health board with some paleo articles/inspiration stuff: http://pinterest.com/munzitto/health-stuff/

oats=grains. Rolled oats= processed grains. grains NOT paleo. Processed grains definitely not paleo If you're feeling good, who am I to say don't eat it! But is it paleo? Nope.

Hey former vegetarian here to say that there are a lot of studies that seem to suggest meat= cancer/obesity/everything bad ever. It's part of why I did it for 4 years. The thing is I didn't really lose fat during those years. I did lose weight when I stopped eating french fries though. And I did lose weight when I tried…

These are such great suggestions! I'm drinking peppermint tea while reading it! Week of doom seems over, but I'm going to try out a bunch of these suggestions next week as I recoup from crazy adrenaline spikes! Thank you all so much!

Thanks for the feedback! I think it could be too much? I had to jump from 12.5 lbs to 20, so that definitely could be it! Thanks for the input!

also for some reason I find it easier to drink black coffee with it's iced... but maybe that's just me?

If you do dairy, I'd recommend heavy whipping cream, although I imagine it's similar to the bulletproof coffee. Also try cinnamon!

Yum!!!!

congrats!

Awesome! :) You rock!!!!

In my very non-expert opinion, 1900 calories seems low for someone doing crossfit X3 plus more. I know it's a weird suggestion, but you're probably undereating. So I second the notion to check out the scooby calculator and to focus more on measurements and less on the scale! It seems to me that as people get closer and…

Also my favorite baking flour is Honeyville's Blanched Almond Flour. Trader Joe's Almond Meal works well for if I'm making fried chicken and need bread crumbs. Ultimately I would suggest using it only for treats though if you're goal is weight loss. It's a billion times better for you than regular flour, but at the end of…

I'm still figuring it out and slowly finding my love for exercise but I think my new routine has become something like this: 2-3 times a week I do NROLFW On the weekends I usually go for at least 1 or sometimes 2 long deliberate walks usually an hour + In between I either rest if I feel like my body needs it, or if I have…

I'm going to second the not enough calories thing. I know it can be hard when eating such dense good for you food to eat enough, but really 1500 is probably too low. Particularly since it's sounds like you're pretty active. I would recommend http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/ Also the Eat More To Weigh Less…

Thanks you for this thread! Agreed that motivation comes from within, but this kick in the pants/ arm of support is EXACTLY what I needed to start this next week!

I say try to be as strict as you can and you'll feel the best difference! That said I have basically no willpower. So when I'm trying to be as primal as possible, somehow (like today!) a cookie slips in or whatever. That said I really FEEL that cookie (or whatever thing it is). The sugar hits me like crazy, and then boom…

when you plug in an exercise for mfp, I know a lot of folks just use "circuit training" I think it is a relatively accurate estimation, but it's all very hard to say.

not a protein shake, but I've started making frittata/casserole things regularly and it's been a really great go to meal for me for breakfast. They are pretty versatile. I just make one on the weekend and it usually lasts me through breakfast for the week. On a weekend or a night when I've got a little extra time (maybe an…

It's from Paleo Comfort Foods (A GREAT COOKBOOK BY THE WAY) But I just googled and someone else has copied the recipe online: http://copycakecook.com/2012/11/16/gluten-free-sweet-potato-pie/

anyone know how to make a picture smaller? It's weirdly gigantic and cut off?
