Yay! Other people just like me:) I had lost quite a bit of weight using MFP, slacked off, and now I'm almost as heavy as I've ever been. It is quite disappointing and discouraging but I am motivated to kick it into gear....if for nothing else...my health. Just restarted a few days ago and it definitely helps to have…

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I can relate to how you are feeling. It can be very discouraging when you have been thinner and feel you have to lose weight to get back to where you were. I have always been heavy but had gone from 235 to around 160 a few years ago. Then I gained back to around 208. It was hard at…

That should have said 200 "MINUTES" of cardio per week. 200 hours of cardio per week would be a little ambitious. But I guess I could have said 178 hours per week since hopefully I'll have some kind of cardio activity going on at all times:wink:

Great goals guys! I've come up with several I'd like to accomplish this month: 1. Get in AT LEAST 200 hours of cardio per week 2. Continue doing Jillian’s 30 Day Shred (every other day)--only on day one 3. Stay under my calorie goal of 1450 per day 4. Eat more fresh/raw fruit and vegetables 5. Incorporate more fruits and…

That sounds yummy!

Got ya! That makes more sense:smile:

Being as young as you are and, by the look of your pic, not being obese, you may not have any problems with hanging skin. You most often see excessive skin when people lose quite a bit of weight and over a short a of time. Also, I think that age plays a part in that as you are older your skin is not as elastic as it once…

I'm surprised no one said this yet...or I missed it, but I recommend that you take your measurements if you have not already done so. If you are working out more than you use to it could be that you are toning up. You may be more likely to see progress if you take regular measurements versus the scale. Don't let that darn…

I agree with what you are saying about people being mean. Peoples' judgmental attitudes toward obese children does not make them WANT to lose weight. I think it only makes it worse because it affects their self esteem even more. At least that's how it was for me. I honestly think it must start in the home. It doesn't…

You look absolutely AMAZING! Great job!

Love this thread!

Great job! You look wonderful!!! I also have one in the closet that I can't wait to be able to wear.

You look amazing! Its especially exciting to me because I am also 34 (or at least I am about to be next week), 5'6" and started at 207 (but probably closer to 210 since I didn't want to weight myself at first). I am currently 195 and I am getting discouraged because it seems to be taking so long to lose anything. I have…

I'm totally in! Great idea for a challenge.

I just sent you a request. I log in everyday and my food diary is open. I am 5'5", 33 and I am looking to lose about 45 more pounds...lost 12 so far since beginning of January.

Good for you for quitting smoking!

Hi there. I'm 33...turning 34 next month and can also use extra support and friends. I've been on since January 3rd. I've lost 12 pounds so far and I'm aiming to lose about 45 more. Feel free to add me. I have an open food diary and like feedback on food choices. It helps to keep me accountable.

I'd like to join. I am 33 and I am currently at 195. I've lost 12 so far. My goal is 150 so I have 45 to go. I have been doing pretty good at sticking to my cardio workouts but I want to keep going. I also am thinking about setting a goal to start running...and perhaps join a 5k run at the end of March. I'm not sure if…

HI! I've been on here since January 3rd and I've lost about 12 pounds so far. I have about 45 more to go. Logging my calories and exercise has really helped to keep me accountable. Feel free to add me. I'm always looking to add new friends. Good luck and have a good day!

I'm also looking for new friends for support. Any of you guys can feel free to add me if you'd like. I'm 33 and looking to lose about 45 more pounds. I've lost 12 pounds so far since January 3rd.

I have noticed this same thing. I was curious about my nutrient intake and was surprised at how low it was. But if you notice, even food labels only list the basic information: calories, fat, sat. fat, trans fat..., cholesterol, carbs, fiber, sugar, etc. If it list a vitamin, it will usually only list the percentage of…

Your diary looks similar to mine in respect to food choices and tastes--even down to the folgers caramel drizzle k-cup:) Hope you don't mind if I add you as a friend.

I think you are doing great so far! I've been at it since around the same time and I've lost 8 pounds. I can remember the days (when I was younger) when I could lose weight much more quickly but I keep having to remind myself that this is FOR GOOD. If you lose it too fast its more likely to come back. Don't let unrealistic…

Hi! I'm 33 and started (prior to MFP) at 235. I started using MFP January 3rd at 207 and I'm down 8 pounds to 199. I'm shooting for 150ish. Feel free to add me. I'm also trying to find extra support and friends on here. My food diary is open which really helps me to stay accountable.

I would like to join. Please feel free to add me as a friend. It will be great to have the support! Current weight (as of Saturday) is 202.5. I have been working at this for a month and have only managed to squeak out 4.5 pounds. I'm hoping this will help kick something into gear. My goal is to get to 195 by the end of…

I am so glad you asked that question because I came to this topic specifically to find the answer to the same question. I also feel like if I don't REALLY push myself that it wasn't a good workout. Evidently I've been pushing it too hard and I need to tone it down a little. Thanks for your post.

This is a great topic! I have several rewards: 1) Buy a sexy little bikini. I haven't worn one since I was six. 2) A new cute wardrobe to show off my figure 3) Several hiking/camping/adventure trips. I get out of breath too easily right now so hiking isn't that fun. 4) The personal satisfaction that I've reached my goal…
