I can't imagine drinking coffee during the summer in Texas (especially during the biggest drought since the 1930's) unless i was very thin. But I do like a good frappe from time to time. I'm just not having them for the foreseeable future. Doing a 60 day juice fast. And after that a fairly big change in diet that looks…

Good job everyone! Everyone is having great success stories. Excellent! We're all on the right track. I hope everyone is happy with their results and future meal choices as well.

I've been counting my calories actually just out of curiosity and then I'm ready to keep track daily after the fast. Win win.

Everyone is talking about how great they feel on day 7 or 8. Wow, they're right. I feel right as rain.

Day 7: Lost 16 lb. so far. The grand total since last summer. Once I lost 14 lb. more I'll be at my low for last year. It will also be nice to pass it and do much better than I did last year. I'm still re-programming my brain so to speak. That's what this reboot is for me. Retraining my brain to associate things I used to…

Day 4: Lost 11.6 lb. to date. I feel great! I used to be a morning person but as I put extra weight on happy guy went away and was replaced by in pain guy. Oddly enough, much to my surprise I'm waking up very relaxed in the morning. I use an APAP myself as I have severe sleep apnea. Hopefully, it will improve with time and…

I clean mine after every use. Definitely. It'll stain otherwise. And the model I got (and Cbpbro got) is awesome for easy cleaning. We do a combination of making them every 2 hours and storing them in the fridge as well for times when we don't have access to a juicer. It still works fine and I feel so much better right…

Not sure if we're keeping the Satisfying Supper or not, it might get phased out. We'll see. Was the least favorite of the day and I'm hearing many people say to leave tomatoes out. I don't know about that yet but I know that one was spicy. Btw, I tend to drink these juices pretty quick the first couple of times. I just had…

Here is my current sample menu. I tend to drink water only but there are substitutes for others so inclined. This simple juice detox three-week diet will provide you with a minimum of 22 daily servings of fruit and veggies in the form of nutrient-dense juices. You'll absorb thousands of acid-neutralizing, detoxifying…

I too watched Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead (2010) and was so impressed I watched it a second and third time and took notes. Today is Day 3. We bought a Breville BJE200XL 700-Watt Compact Juice Fountain (about $100) and it arrived on July 22nd (I ordered it from Amazon on July 21st and it arrived from PA the next day! I love…

I can't hear you singing because I'm listening to music! :D Doesn't bother ME a bit.

If you click on My Home it shows you Goal, Food, Exercise and Net. For me today my goal is 1600 and I exercised 625 calories. I ate 2198 calories and my net was 1573. 27 calories remain. So, they're adding 625 to my max total (which was 1600 but is now 2225) for the day due to my exercise. But even when I eat all of that…

I always weigh a bit more at the doc's office than I do at home. And still I use the home scale for most measurements. I duly note the doctor's office weight but the great thing is next visit it'll be noticeably lower just as the home scale is also going in the right direction.

My wife. I can't give her up for anything. Nothing else would be worth it. And this new lifestyle wouldn't work without her.

Good ones to wake up!

The way I see it our weight fluctuates up and down to go down. And so it's up and down throughout the week for me with losses whenever the body see's fit. So, it's this bio-rhythm thing to loss of weight, not just a descent only. This is true for men and women. And different people lose at different rates depending on body…

Yes, it truly is a way-of-life change, for sure! I just re-trained my brain as many of you have done. I'm totally phase out commercials across the board now, especially Fast Food or things that are high in "empty" calories. I finally decided to treat me nicely and it's paying off big time!! I know many others feel the…

Impressive! Amazing! Have a very happy 24th!! Hope it's a great date too!!

I take bp meds and cholesterol meds at the moment. They have been decreasing dosages as time goes on though. I was much heavier than you are. But the bp meds actually gave me a bit of an edge at first because I could exercise longer without feeling the fatigue. Once the meds amount went down 1/4 of a pill I had to…

Good job! Way to go! It's hard to believe you're 165 in the first pic. You look more like 150-155 and the 2nd pic looks like 120 - 125. But it's the camera angle I'm sure. Maybe it's a slimming camera. ;) Well, congrats! You're not far away! Think of all the cool clothes that are coming your way!

I love saving money. Great challenge!

Thanksgiving will be a free day. And we don't get enough Thanksgiving goodies to have much left over. I don't allow over 2 free days in a row and usually only one event once a month tops. I also have a special calorie limit for that day. I had one of those days last weekend. My usual calorie limit is 1500 but on Saturday I…

If I crave something I give it to my body. It often craves the oddest things. But not usually the worst things anymore. I think chocolate is good for you on some level. Moderation of course. :D It won't hurt you to go over on a category from time to time. I do it with sodium and sugar from time to time. But most days I…

I don't see anything wrong with 2 lbs a week. None. Zero. Zip. And you seem to have the right attitude about it. Mine is projected at 3.1 lbs per week. I'm not having any ill side effects from it. But then I had 143 lbs to lose back on June 30th.

Splurge from time to time. I see no problem with it. I can't eat at Wendy's or McDonald's again. I haven't in years and years now. And I'm trying to adopt the same thoughts about most of them. That's not a treat to me. If I want a treat I go out and have dinner in a restaurant because the cost is about the same. But I…

That is awesome! Big difference on the pics! You're well on your way I see. Keep up the great work. It's those before and after pics that are so amazing. My guess is you feel 100% better.

Wow! Congrats!!!! :)

I've managed to lose 46.2 lbs in 91 days. That's about 3.5 lbs per week or so. I've sometimes seen no loss in a week and sometimes seen 7 lbs (once). It stair steps down. I have 143 lbs to lose total.

That is very good news isn't it? It can be done! Don't listen to the nay-sayers. They will be proven wrong! And look, she's up early and exercising!

Good to know! Very good info. I don't weigh daily. I try for once a week but occasionally do it a couple of times. I only record the lowest number. I don't record a higher number later. It's non-productive. When the lowest number moves again that's when I log my next loss. Very simple for me. If I see a loss a day before…
