  • Yes ... if your recommended calories is 1200 and you burn 300 you should be eating 1500. And I've been her a while but fell off the wagon and started again Monday so we are in the same boat!!!
  • Did well today again. If it hadn't been for my mom coming up and forcing us to eat at Qdoba I would have been perfect. When a little over on calories but also walked about a mile more than I usually do so I'm not too worried. And my paper isn't done yet but it's going and it will be eventually ... even if that's at 2 in…
  • When I go to fast food restaurants and I'm trying to be good I don't make the healthy choice like I should. What I do is either get a kid's meal of whatever I like (and a diet soda or water) or just the sandwich w/o the fries. Its still not the best but at least I'm eating what I like which makes me feel more satisfied.…
  • Good morning everyone!! Rainy, dreary day today... :( So ... I did horrible yesterday with eating healthy. HORRIBLE. But I worked out for about an hour and a half which is a longer workout for me than usual and today is a new day! So goals for today... Finish my paper Eat within my calories Work out for at least a half…
  • No more love handles!!! ... and smaller thighs. But the love handles are the biggie.
  • Good morning everyone! I don't know about where you guys are but it is beautiful here. Goals for the day are: Stay within calorie limit-- todays going to be tough because I think I'm heating at home and that home cooked food always gets me Some low intensity exercise Drink all my water And for my non eating related one ...…
  • Well I did decently today ... although not as well as yesterday. I went to all my classes! Yay! Got a good workout in. Went a little over in my calories by about 200. Didn't go for that walk. Where do all the hours go in a day? I wonder... And even though this wasn't a goal I was proud of myself for this ... I ate veggies…
  • Good morning everyone! Thanks for all the welcomes!!! Goals for the day: Drink all of my water. Stay within my calorie limit. Get a good workout in. Go to all my classes (tend to have a little trouble with this Tuesdays and Thursdays due to me running out of steam) If it becomes nice out like it was supposed to I would…

  • I got all my goals in! Yay! Drank all my water (well finishing up now) ... stayed within my calorie budget... exactly 6 short, worked out for 30 minutes, and ROCKED MY PRESENTATION! I got the position I was going for (rush chair of my fraternity for the fall!) So all in all, it was a good day. I think it helped to get up…
  • I would like to join! I've been off and on for a while now ... I'll do well a couple of days then blow it but ... when I had to go up a size in work clothes which I realized this weekend I decided it's time to get on board for real. So I'm not going to set a long term goal is just to stick with it so day by day posts will…
  • It's going to be featured on the Today Show tomorrow! Thought you might want to know! 8:20 am.
  • That's amazing!! Who did you dance for? I was on the OPP committee and it was SO much fun. I wasn't at THON much last year as a freshman so I really wanted to be involved this year and I got to be on the floor for about 10 hours. I knew a bunch of dancers, too which also made a huge difference. The Jonas Brothers made a…
  • lol. THON is a 46 hour dance marathon that PSU does every year to raise money for the Four Diamonds Fund and pediatric cancer research. Basically the dancers can't sit or sleep for 46 hours. It's held at the BJC.
  • So ... I know I've been on a THON rant recently but it's now over so I thought I'd announce that we raised 7.49 million dollars for the kids!!! And I thought you'd find the words to our line dance entertaining and can now post them. Basically, the line dance keeps our dancers going and moving and is played every hour.…
  • So.. I need some inspirational quotes. I'm making dancer mail for THON... and they will be getting the mail after being on their feet for about 35 hours with 10 more to go. I need quotes that will keep them going, about doing good in the world, about being a hero, etc. So if anyone knows any please let me know! This really…

  • postsecret.com Love it!
  • So ... as you probably know from my username I go to PSU and I'm so excited that I just had to share. One week from now, on Friday Feb. 20th ... a little over 700 dancers will stand up for 46 hours straight in our no sleeping, no sitting dance marathon. It's the reason I'm proud to be a student here and think all of you…
  • Luckily I have the healthy dining commons right downstairs but I had whole wheat blueberry pancakes today. They were good and very healthy.
  • So I went to the fam's for awhile... where there was no internet connection believe it or not. My grandparents haven't moved into the 20th century but I am back and will be posting my weight tomorrow. Honestly, I don't think I did very well. I've been meeting some goals every day but not all of them. Welcome Laura. It's…
  • Me too. Trust me. I've been on this site for a year and I keep going on and off. I think it has to do with the options available to me (and drunk eating) but I really want to do this. I need shorter challenges. O and about the measurements, I think that's a good idea, too. I'm going to measure myself sometime this week as…
  • Welcome guys!! Jawaria, I think that's a great idea. Everyone can check in once a week. Let's say that it doesn't have to be Saturday though. I'm going to check in every Friday and Monday night, mainly because I think I gain the most/lose the least amount of weight on the weekend so knowing that I lost a pound and have to…
  • Hi everyone. So I have joined so many challenges and not been able to follow through due to school or traveling or finals. Something has always come up. So ... I have off until the weekend of the 11th and am determined to lose a few pounds over break. So I'm starting a challenge for myself and anyone else who wants to…
  • Hey everyone! Checking in. I did fairly well yesterday ... was out shopping all day so didn't eat a whole lot in between meals! Always a plus. Then dinner came ... and let's just say ... I can't wait to go back to school because my family does not like to eat healthy or keep healthy food in the house no matter how much I…
  • I get the regular kids meal when I have to go for fast food. It's smaller portions and half of the problem of fast food is those extra large fries and soda! Also- ask for diet coke. It's not healthy but it's doable every now and then.
  • Hey guys!! I know... my fist day I didn't check in. We ended up heading to the family's house ahead of time. Unfortunately, I cant weight in since my scale is at college and Im home for break. The bad news... while away my grandparents like to shove food on us like crazy. So the past two days haven't been the healthiest.…
  • Hi everyone! I think i am going to join this challenge if you don't mind. I am a major yo-yoer and I need to stop! I don't have too much weight to lose but I am a college student and I put on way too much weight in the past year and a half so the real goal is to lose that weight and then not gain anymore! So .. I don't…
  • I'm actually in a nutrition class right now and we talk about this. Milk is SO important, especially if you aren't getting calcium from somewhere else. I would check to see what type you get. It sounds like you might be getting whole milk which might have something to do with it. Check with your milkman.
  • I didn't make it through all the posts but I have to weigh in at least a little bit on this. First of all, they are under the supervision of doctors, trainers, nutritionists, etc. Therefore, even though they may not be getting all the calories they need they are getting all the NUTRIENTS they need. I would think that if…
