Tall drinks of water with large noses and high IQ's.

Nevermind. I realized I was quoting someone from June. Whoops,

Hi, I am new to this kind of challenge, but I like the format. I am trying to get down to a BMI right dead center of a healthy weight. I've always known that I had type II diabetes galloping through my birth father's family, but recently found out that is on my birth mom's side as well. The more weight I drop,…

I have a repertoire of lower calories drinks that I like. In order: Skinny 'Rita, Jack and Diet Coke (no ice), Bloody Mary. One of those three is usually available. Failing that, give me a shot of something and diet soda and I'm good. Failing that, just give me a shot of something decent with no water or ice, and I'll…

This is where I hike every chance I get. It's nothing amazing if you are surrounded by real mountains (or even real hills) but I live in flat lands on the US Gulf coast and for us these waterfalls, rocks and hills are very special.

I'm entering my exercise manually for now. If Fitbit comes back and adds that exercise, I can always delete it, but for now it's better than not having my exercise tracked. :)

Wrap them up in something and stick them in your freezer for a few days. Alternately, wait for winter and leave them outside unless you are wearing them. This works even with the worst smelling shoes otherwise I would have to buy new canyoneering boots. . .you do NOT want to know what those smell like sometimes, but…

I did a 20 mile hike with a 4800 foot elevation change a couple of months ago; I brought 8 liters of water with me, plus emergency supplies and a few protein bars for food, so about 20lbs in my back/hydration pack. When I got back to my airbnb room that night and stripped down in the bathroom to bathe, it was obvious I had…

I am a Gap and Old Navy fan as well. Also, we have pretty good and cheap thrifting where I live, so I buy a lot of my clothes used. It lets me cycle through them pretty rapidly, which is fun, and I don't break the bank!

I'm in for 5 lbs. 5'5" SW for this challenge: 160 GW: 149 GW for this challenge: 155

My only answer to salt is "yes, please, more." B) And I love that on keto I NEED a lot of salt or my legs and feet start cramping.

Today is the first day of June, ya'll! How is everyone doing? My birthday is tomorrow which means I will get taken out for lunch and dessert at work. I have put down a place that makes a salad that I love, but it's 1500 calories, so I am about to (with my smaller jeans in mind) change my plans and put down a place that has…

You share what your goal is when you get up this morning. Then you share if you made it with no beating yourself up if you don't, just a careful, reasoned think-thru of whether or not, in retrospect, the goal was unreasonable or you simply gave into temptation.

I am one step closer to my size 6 jeans! The one pair of size 6 dress pants I own (I was thrifting a few months ago and found a pair of Gap chinos with the tags still on them, and I was determined that I'd be in a size 6 at some point. . .) fit me like a flippin' glove this morning. They even make my butt look less. .…

It was another co-worker's idea. It is SUPER motivating for me. You don't know the number of times I have gone home and it's raining and 82 degrees and I've wanted to stay indoors, but I know I can get money from the kitty if I do what I should be doing anyway, so I get out there and slog away. There are actually some apps…

I do this at work: We each put $20 into the kitty, set our goals and then a month later report back. Everyone who has made her goal gets to share the kitty. I usually make pretty good money out of this  I actually brought the Camelbak I am buying with this month's kitty money up to work just to tick off my…

I'm at 31% and only WISH I looked that nice in a bikini!

No, these are more like love handles, but not long or thick, they're just. . .sort of wrinkles at my waist.

The little readout I got the last time I had a metabolism test done says women's body fact percentages should be: 20-39 - 21% to 32% 40-59 - 23% to 33% 60-79 - 24% to 35% I got a little smiley face, because I was at 31%. I've lost weight and gained muscle since then (not a lot but a little) as that was in February, so it…

Current Weight: 152 Goal Weight: 149 Dream Weight: 145 Height: 5' 4.5" Goal for June: fit comfortably (not painted into) size 6 jeans. Goal for September: all my shorts are fall off my hips baggy. Goal-I-am-not-sure-can-make-by-September-but-I-will-try: Run 5k in 32 minutes or less.

Based on your description, I just bought this! It sounds really fascinating.

You have to remember that the weight you are after a week of eating whatever you would like and weight you are after dieting stringently for a week will vary by several pounds even if your body fat % is exactly the same at the end of those 2 weeks. Remember, your weight isn't fat+muscle. It's fat+muscle+organs+water needed…

I know, right?

Nothing spectacular, but my usual hiking spot is challenging; I want to run, not walk, the trail (except in the climbing parts, of course) by this winter. My Fitbit tells me it's 90 to 120 flights of stairs and 14 to 19 thousand steps. (Depending on my path choices.)

Teepublic also rocks. Not as big a fan of W00t. Their customer service sucks.

I've decided I'm not going near a scale until the end of July. I'm going to eat properly and exercise a minimum of 3 times a week. My success/failure will be measured by whether or not those darn blue jeans are fitting any better or not. . .
-
That's an amazing time to me! Congrats on the time and the run. :)

I remember that! Mine was "Jesus Walks" by Kanye West. While rather odd, it wasn't as bad as say "Folsom Prison Blues" or "Golddigger" or "Climbing a Chair to Bed" etc. . .

Well, thanks to this thread, I just bought an Amphipod Airflow Micro belt, a Flipbelt and 2 cheap Chinese manufactured belts that were slightly different (and cost practically nothing, so I figured why not try them too). They're all slightly different. I hope I like at least one of them and that I can iron or sew some…

Hi - I know this is 5 days old, but just saw it. My RMR (I had a metabolism test done in a clinic) is 1460 calories a day, which is up about 400 calories from where it was the first time I was tested (I put it down to running like a banshee 3-4 times a week.) If your RMR is at 1400 calories, 1200 as the set point and…
