Right now I concentrate more on my "run" - it's snowy and icy out, so I have to watch where I step, keeping up my pace, paying attention to how I'm feeling (I wear a HR monitor and have to keep it under a certain rate - had some testing on my heart done recently). When it's nice out I run early and I don't run with music…

I get the fruit instead of the fries and most places I could find grilled chicken or veggie burger snadwiches. I would then load the sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes and only eat one side of the bun. I also packed easy snacks in sandwhich bags such as chocolate cheerios to snack on while my kids and husband bought…

I prefer the Zensah for how "soft" they feel. The CEP feel more snug and so I think they might compress more. But really both are good and I used them both (alternated days) while dealing with the shin splints. If you wear tights and wondering on the fit under them - I've worn the Zensah under my Under Armour warm tights…

I started using the Zensah leg sleeves when I had shin splints over the summer (because I overpronate). I still wear them on long runs. I think they make my legs feel better. I also have the CEP leg sleeves and use those as well.

Hi. I want to lose around 25 lbs and have 2 boys (mine are 9 & 6). I will send you a friend request.

I had a c-section with my second child and had gotten up to 224 before I lost 75 lbs a couple years ago. My stomach never got totally flat. I'm not sure what your desired ending weight is, so maybe if your goal weight is less then mine you might have less of a stomach, but due to where the scar is - I think we will always…

I see a chiropractor that I started seeing when I was pregnant and had this issue. It now flares up once in a while when I'm training for a half marathon and run a lot on the roads (which are slanted). Normally one visit to the chiroprator clears it up, occasionally a second visit is needed if I let it get really bad…

This is in regards to my husband's surgery - I did not have it done. He had the lapriscoprisy (sp?) surgery done in mid October. They told him no exercising for 2 weeks and then he could do anything he wanted as long as he felt okay. If he was in pain he had to stop. He did start running again and did short 2-3 mile runs…

I used to be 224 a couple years ago. I got down to 150 and then last year I trained for two half marathons and gained about 5 lbs during each training. Then I could not run for a few weeks until I saw a cardiologist - of course it had to be over the holidays and gained a few more. I'm right there with you with wanting to…

I started at the end of December. You (and anyone else) can add me too. I think it does help to have support and encouraging words.

I work out 5 days a week. On two of those I do weights, on four of those days I run, and on the day I don't run it's the cross trainer and yoga at the gym. I'm doing a training plan for a half marathon so I have 2 rest days - which I make sure I take so I don't get injured.

I like the Athlete's Guide to Yoga DVD as you can follow a set program or pick and select which poses you want to do (won't get bored if you switch it up every time) and the DVD will take you through your own routine. I also do classes at the YMCA. I run and found yoga helps me so much.

I run half marathons too and am a couple weeks into another training plan. I found that on Saturday (my long run) that I could not eat all my calories. I had never thought to carry some of them over to the next day. I may have to try that as I'm normally more hungry the next day after a long run.

Feel free to add me as a friend if you would like. I'm 35 and I have two kids (they are older then yours though, 6 & 9). I had lost weight before kids, then after my second I put on a lot. I lost that with weight watchers, then put on 25 again. Now I'm trying to relose those.

I live in Rochester, NY. It's been cold here! I do exercise outside in the wintertime (run) if you need that type of motivation.
