So true, because what is one persons norm, may not be another persons norm. If that is stuff you normally do then why would you log it, But if you are like me, and have medical issue after medical issue and are lucky enough to have a random okay day, then please log it. I log it on days I am doing a lot, and I am losing…

lol I do laundry by hand which I have to use something to agitate the water, so I will log that depending on how long I am doing that for.
-
I don't think you offended anyone. I think that there are different limits for everything. If you don't normally shovel snow, then that would be something to log. There is actually a post on here that talks about this, and it says "anything outside of your normal daily activity is something you would log" Now , if I am…

Plus if it's not something you are normally doing, then yes it should be considered. Especially a deep cleaning. Plus you pointed that you don't normally count it. To me, 4 hours is a lot!!! Good job on that!
-
It all depends on the person. At times, I do, ONLY because I have a lot of medical issues, and if I am able to get up and clean something up, that isn't something I normally would do. Also , I have to wash laundry the old fashioned way, by hand as I don't have the money to do it at a laundry mat, and I don't have to pay a…

In my defense, I said I don't use it to ask questions. I will post on other peoples topics or questions though.

Yep, delete button. But in my case, it is mostly family members being drama queens. I have had friends get mad at me for not getting involved in their drama... So delete is my friend.
-
I completely understand that. Which is why before I ask a question, I search the forums, or the unofficial FAQs.

I am not blaming others. I know if I can't deal with what is or may be said, then I wont post. I never said anyone was put down for being overweight , I said some of us that are extremely overweight already have low self confidence. Yes, I have seen people being put down, but I didn't mean for being overweight, I meant…

I gave up on asking questions on the forum, not because of the way I was being treated but because of SOME of the rude comments or remarks I saw posted on other peoples questions. I just started asking questions in my blog on here, and leave it at that. Unfortunately, not all of us are strong enough to "ignore" and move…

I asked my doctor this recently. He advised me to use a bike. Stationary or regular. Because if you are over weight you may put too much weight on your joint and cause major injury.
-
Agreed, it can be looked at so many different ways. There are too many circumstances.

I feel for you with that. I have PCOS and endometriosis. I had to change my diet to fit these, b/c with PCOS I have an insulin resistance. Once I changed my eating habits I dropped 22 pounds. That 22 pounds made a difference, and now I am able to workout. Although my doctor doesn't want me doing the workouts I do. He wants…

My cousin's wife has a lot of medical issues and her doctor advised her that she could lose weight, sticking to a low cal diet. Sometimes once you are overweight or have certain medical issues, eating healthy is the first step into losing weight. Once you drop a certain amount, then you can proceed to do workouts.

Maybe a sample shopping list would help those of us who try to eat healthy and over spend????
-
I guess that all depends on How or why you got fat.. I have medical issues which majorly contributed.
-
I am in that boat right now. I keep dropping weight but can't afford new clothes lol.
-
I do think it also depends on where you live. I recently had a $120 grocery bill buying fresh fruits, and veggies, and everything went bad with in a few days. Hell half the stuff in the store was bad already. Everything seemed good when we got it. Of course we had to drive around a bit because all we have is Wal-mart,…

That is awesome. It is hard for people on food stamps. I know from past experience. I was a single mother, and was battling my ex with child support. I had a wonderful job, but just made the cut off for food stamps. However my daughter was an infant, and most of my food stamp money was spent on Baby formula. I didn't…

I am not on food stamps. I was in the past.

I agree with OP because I go grocery shopping for 3 people ( 2 adults and one kid) and if I buy unhealthy ( canned everything, boxed everything and unhealthy snacks) I spend $50-$75.. for a week... If I go healthy and buy the good stuff, I spend $150... There is no bulk store in my town.. We have Wal-Mart , Fry's , and…

I really need to strengthen my ankles lol

This is why I am scared to death to meet my mother in law. Her husband ( not my husbands father but his stepfather) has made comments about my weight, when I was on Short term disability for a medical issue. He said " She can't get her fat *kitten* off the couch to go to work but yet when food is involved she can go out to…

I just did this, and It makes me feel more accomplished. I started this site about 2 weeks ago, and have lost 10 pounds in that time, but 21 pounds since I started my journey.... I feel more motivated since changing it. And to do this you just go to "check in" and "edit previous entries"

I saw the title and immediately thought " Oh **** she is screwed!" lol I am italian and constantly want pasta....

If you all want to add me , you can. I have PCOS and having trouble. It's so hard when everyone around you get's pregnant and doesn't understand.

Sometimes it's all about tweaking your diet and exercise to fit your needs. When I was 24 I wasn't too much overweight, but then I got lazy, got a desk job, and it lead to a whole lot of health issues. I don't know if you have kids, or if you are planning on kids, but when you gain weight, your chances of getting pregnant…

If they ask you why you are not eating, then you should just say " I can't eat what is here due to health reasons" If they push further, tell them that pizza and cake doesn't agree with you. Or as someone else said, bring a large salad you can share. Maybe even buy a veggie or fruit platter. It's all about how you word it.
-
I am doing this. I had a family member ask me " why would you lose weight and THEN get pregnant, shouldn't it be the other way around?" Not if the weight you are at is a health risk!
-
First off you are not fat. I do not get people who act like that though. I have read some posts on here on this subject to my husband, and he has made it clear as he says in his words " I will love you whether you are 125 pounds or 500 pounds" I always joke and say "so IF i am under or over that range, you wont love me?"…
