I still have 20 - 25 pounds to go, but am happy with my progress so far! I am 5'2''. I went from 14/16 to an 8/10 since January 1st!

As a RABID Ravens fan, I am 100% behind this!
-
Way to go, friend!

I like that! I often say, "Thanks. I'm glad you think I look nice, but I'm still working towards a HEALTHY weight for my height!" That usually makes people focus more on the health than the size.

I teach middle school, so I just take potty breaks in between classes! I can always hold it for the duration of one class if I have to.

I've lost 24 pounds, and went from a size 14 to a 10!

My size 14s were getting tight, and I did NOT want to size up. I also saw a picture of myself from a wedding that terrified me - I didn't even LOOK like MYESELF (it's now my "before" in my profile pic). I decided something had to change, and fast. I joined MFP on January 2nd, and began a Biggest Loser competition on…

I think people of DIFFERENT religions could get along fine, since the basic "I believe in a greater being _______ that is responsible for all of this" would be there. Yeah, the details would be different, but the FAITH would be the same. Atheists/Agnostics and religious partners just don't mix, I think. I personally could…

I think with the high reps in Body Pump, it should at least be CLOSE. I use mine and routinely burn 400 - 450 in the hour, since my HR is quite high. I think of it as strength-cardio.

I can't get over the difference in how I feel! Health wise, I can do so much more. I haven't gotten sick ONCE since beginning this. I have more energy, and I even sleep way better. Confidence wise, it's amazing! I've dropped from a 14/16 to a 10 - a size I haven't seen since my freshman year in college. My husband, family…

Mashed. Cauliflower. It changed my life!

You may not have hit your ultimate goal, but think about how amazing it is that you are running the race at a better time than you USED to be able to! If you want guilt, try me: signed up for a race last year, wimped out and withdrew. :( You're still sticking it out which impresses me!

Me! I stick to 1200 - 1350 cal/day :)
-
We've been married for almost a year and a half, but TOGETHER for nearly seven and a half. Still as much in love as day one, honestly. Our life was made easier and better by our marriage. Plus, he is so supportive of me on my fitness journey!

I can't get over how much YOUNGER you look! Amazing job!
-
Yes! I always feel bad when I answer this way because people get disappointed that there isn't a magic trick. Don't we all wish! :) Nothing but hard work is going to get you there!

I have a few times in the comments already :)
-
Wow, thank you! :)
-
1200-1350 cal/day, workouts 5 or 6 days a week. See page 2 of comments where I outlined my gym routine :)
-
Honestly, no, I've adjusted to low cal really well. I'm quite short, which may have something to do with it? Some days I find I struggle to eat 1200 cals because I am eating so much food volume wise. I eat biiiiiig salads with protein and low cal dressing, or a big pile of sauteed mushrooms with my protein at dinner,…

I think its more about diet than anything, really. The one thing I really have going for me is that I am a newlywed with no kids, so that is a major time restriction I don't have to deal with! I admire moms SO MUCH for how hard it must be to do it all! I have tried a few workout videos I really liked - particularly the…

I dropped 20 in two months. I have a post about it in the success stories section. It's doable. I think I did it the healthy way - ate a min of 1200 cal/day, worked out 5-6 days a week. Every person is different, but if I did it I think you can too! :)
-
Thank you! Somewhere earlier in this post I outlined my typical workouts! I usually go to the gym 5 or 6 days a week, and I take A TON OF CLASSES. I find that if I have others around me working hard, I push myself harder (kind of like MFP)! Also, I never worry about form because the instructors can help correct your…

Another thing I do is bring something healthy! I always bring a treat to a party anyway, now it just ensures that there is something I can snack on without dying :) BUT be sure it is something good others will like too. I like . . . fruit trays veggie trays with dip and yummy hummus (I just avoid the dip and stick to…

Many thanks! :) I think I got rid of my "cankles" haha
-
You look amazing! I can't wait to look as good in a bikini as you!
-
Way to resist! :) I always try to ask myself: is this treat worth me beating myself up over it later? Sometimes, the answer is YES! Most of the time, it's not. 5 minutes of happiness scarfing a cupcake is not nearly as awesome as how happy I am to reach my big 2-0!
-
Healthy choices and 5 or 6 days of working out per week! My diary is open if you'd care to look. I posted earlier in this thread somewhere what I do workout wise!
-
For your health! Looks are great, but don't you want to live a long and healthy life? That's the real motivator.

If you're till losing body fat, you've got to be losing inches too I would think. Eventually the scale will follow. I'd maybe pick something else as a supplemental goal, like "I want to be a size 6." Perhaps for your body/bone structure/muscle mass, a size 6 would be 140 pounds. Maybe 130. You won't really know till you…
