I have made a similar mistake. It was more from being put in an unexpected situation and making what I thought was the best choice. Lesson learned.

Always looking for friends -- sent you an invite.

Thank you -- you are right. I do need to start somewhere!! :)

Welcome and good for you for having a plan and dedication. I don't think it is a bad thing to want as much support as possible. I sent you a friend request!!

I am scared to try her stuff because I am so out of shape now. I am going to see if I can borrow one from the library and decide before I buy. Sent you an invite.

Had a great weigh in today and my numbers are going in the right direction. We are going camping this weekend and I hope I will be able to log in on my phone because it keeps me on track. I have planned all of our meals and snacks and there are plenty of good choices for me!! Hope everyone has a great day!!

I am having a friend loan me a bike this weekend to see if I will actually use it. I am looking for all sorts of exercise that doesn't feel like exercise. I find I move more that way! Walking the dog, dancing around, cleaning, etc.... Good Luck -- will send you a friend request so we can support one another.

I would try to increase your calories. The 1200 max doesn't work for everyone. I increased mine up to 1350 and I have noticed I am doing better, plus at that low you need to make sure you eat back your exercise earned calories. (Well at least I do) I looked over your diary and it seems like you are doing a great job on…

Being able to spell commonly misspelled words is not a sign of superior intellect, however pointing out the misspellings in a rude manner is something that also should have been taught -- as in "What NOT to do!!" You knew what she meant -- you could have pointed it out politely -- no need to add the "we all graduated from…

I don't know how cool I am, but I am over 40. I just started tracking on MFP this month, but I am committed to a healthy lifestyle. I enjoy the supportive community and the information I have learned from reading the message boards. I look forward to getting to know you.

Stomach and back!! I am sure I will have excess skin when I lose this weight so I am trying to go slow and exercise a bunch!!

I was confused at first when I read the OP -- then of course "I got it" -- the responses have brightened my morning.

There is no magic formula or trick. You need to eat at a deficit. Exercise helps burn fat and tone what is left behind. You cannot safely lose a great deal of weight in a short period of time without close supervision by a doctor. I would drop the cheat day and figure out a way to exercise.

Fantastic!! You are inspirational!!
-
Good for you!! Keep up the great work!!
-
That is wonderful!! You should be very proud of yourself and use these feelings as the motivation to continue on the path you are on!!
-
I do the same or similar things -- it helps me stay on track.

If you plan for a day or a meal where you go over your normal calorie consumption is it cheating or still part of the plan? I think it is still part of the plan and you would perhaps make up for this day by ensuring that the other days that week were at the lower end of your calorie allotment or perhaps you increase your…

I am in a similar position. I started at 231 pounds and after almost two weeks I am currently 223 pounds. I would like to get down to about 130 pounds -- we will see what happens when I get down there if I go more but that would put me at 101 pounds lost!! I will send you a Friend request!!

Good for you!! Well done!!
-
WOW -- very inspirational!! You look fantastic and you should be VERY proud of how hard you worked and what you achieved!!

I think it depends on the individual and the day. The same thing does not work for everyone and then the same thing may not work every day for the same person. For me -- I do better having larger meals and no snacks, but it doesn't always work that way. And if dinner will be late I need a snack between lunch and dinner. I…

How do you feel? Is what you are doing working? I looked at your food diary and it seems like you are eating healthy food choices. If you feel like you are hungry and should add more to your daily diet then add in some additional healthy choices -- perhaps more dairy (if you like it because it seems to be missing) Maybe…

My favorite snacks include: Sliced sweet red pepper with tzatziki dip carrots or cucumber and hummus Popcorn Cheesesticks No Bake Peanut Butter Ball (I got the recipe from Pinterest -- Just Oats, Flaxseed, chocolate chips, honey, and peanut butter) Any type of Fruit -- Papaya and lime, apple slices, frozen grapes, frozen…

I looked at your food journals as well and I am going to hope you just forgot to log in the rest of the food you were supposed to have eaten. Coming up short 500 calories a day is not a safe way to lose weight. Moreover it does not look like you are eating a large volume of food which may be more filling and cut down on…

I love cheese and I will include it as part of a healthy diet in moderation. I think people over do it with cheese and it gets a bad wrap.
-
I would count it as exercise if it is intentionally done as such. I do not count walking around the grocery store while shopping, but I count walking around the block with the dog.

When having Greek salads - I either use a store bought or make a tzatziki sauce -- if you Google the recipe you will find it is not too bad with fat or sodium if you stick to the portion size. If I want a more Asian Flair I will make a Ginger dressing -- if you substitute a lower sodium soy sauce and reduce the oil added…

I wear my underwear and a t shirt when I weigh in -- I don't know why I take my pants off? I figure so long as I am consistent it doesn't really matter. I am not a slave to the number on the scale and I know things are going in the right direction!!

If you want cake -- eat a piece of cake -- if you want some chicken nuggets -- have some chicken nuggets -- just make allowance for the rest of the weekend to not go over and you will be fine!!
