Eh..I'm not offended by the picture or the question, but I can see how some might be. I do think that she's a gorgeous, fit woman, and she has every reason to be proud of the shape she's in. i like the cooking analogy (sorry, forgot the name of the poster that made it). The message, at face value, just comes across as a…

Yes! :drinker: I love porters and stouts. I tried a chocolate mint stout at a beer fest a couple months ago. It's made by Ska Brewery. It tasted like a thin mint. YUM!

I like the skinny caramel macchiato with an extra shot of espresso at Starbucks. We don't have DD where I live

The dark, heavy stout beers that I love. I knew there were more than a light beer, but some of those go over 200 calories for a 12 ounce beer! Not that I'm going to give them up, but come on!

If it's really hard on you, why not just have the bread once a week? You can decide, "OK, I'm working 8 hours on Saturday and will be starving. I'll have the bread in my sandwich on that day." The other days, you either don't eat at work, or have the unwich. I think one of the keys to success in weight loss and maintenance…

I'm so sorry that you have had to deal with terrible people. Please take it for what it is..a reflection of their own souls, not at all a reflection of who you are as a person. I had a similar experience this summer. My husband and I were at an adults only resort in Mexico. Some guy we were talking to started going on and…

This is exactly what i was thinking. It sounds like she wants you to stay heavy for her wedding so that she can feel better about herself. Honestly, I'd tell her to pound sand, and that I'm happy to attend her wedding, but being a part of it isn't in the cards right now. Sounds like a pretty awful person, to be totally…

The only time I've taken a diuretic is when I'm feeling particularly bloated and water doesn't seem to be helping (TOM, ate chinese food, etc.). Otherwise, water or other fluids should do the trick. Dandelion Root tea is supposed to be a natural diuretic. Sometimes, I'll brew that and add some lemon and cranberry juices.

Hooray for wine!! One bottle on a desert island....definitely a good cabernet. Love most red wines. In the summer, an ice cold glass of Sauv Blanc, sitting on the back deck...heaven! I'm 3 weeks out from any alcohol at all. Went out for a 30th birthday party a few weeks ago and had way too much. Decided the next day that…

I plan to just eat what I want within reason. A lot of the foods that are cooked on Thanksgiving can be given a healthy makeover. But really, it's just one day. I just intend to get right back on the wagon on Friday. And burn some major calories with my Black Friday power shopping :)

Unless you have dietary restrictions, don't worry about the sugar found naturally in fruits & vegetables. If you want to limit 'added sugar' in your diet, that's fine, but don't let those natural sugars deter you from eating foods that are good for you!

The 1200 *is* your calorie deficit. That's the absolute least number of calories you should be eating on any given day. I took a quick look at your diary, and I see a lot of snack and processed food. I would suggest trying to add in more vegetables, more lean protein. The "Quick Add" is a great option when you don't really…

You might try a short term cut. If you feel like you're stalled out just before the finish line, try cutting gluten or added sugar for a week. It's not a long term deprivation, but might be something that jolts your body into doing what you want it to do. 86 lbs lost is AMAZING. Keep up the great work!

I'm looking forward to less, I just hope they don't end up deflated and sad looking. I'm beyond 'regular' sizing, and can only buy off the rack (haha) in a couple of stores. I drop at least $60+ per bra, so buying bras for less in a smaller size would be a good thing. And, for the record, natural large breasts don't always…

That's amazing, TamTastic! So far, just being able to put some pants on again that I couldn't button just two weeks ago!

I'd like to lose some of mine, but am nervous what weight loss will do to them at age 37 after two kids. :frown: I think plastic surgery of any form is a great thing if it improves the way a person feels about him or herself. More power to you. As a heavy chested woman, I would definitely recommend that anyone wanting…

These are so great to read!! The ticker on my phone tells me that it's been 18 days since I've had a cocktail. Wine and weekend social outings were a huge cause for my 10 lb weight gain in the last 6 months, so I decided to cut it out completely for a while. I have so much energy and am sleeping like a baby! It hasn't been…

Try getting a body fat % reading in addition to your weight. That will give you a truer picture of your overall fitness level. My gym has one, but you have to get a trainer to get on it. Change your MFP settings to lose 1 lb/week. Make sure you're eating [mostly] the right things and measuring/counting everything. Good…

I also drink a lot of cold herbal iced tea. I have an Iced Tea Maker (by Mr. Coffee), and that makes brewing it really easy. I try to stay away from sugar free stuff (like Crystal Light), simply because it seems to trigger sweet cravings for me. I like to drink hot tea in the evenings, or flavored seltzer water (not the…

I would agree to make sure you're eating the number of calories you think you are. Are you eating a lot or not tracking on weekends? Also - if you think you're really accurate in your intake calculations, I'd go to the doctor to rule out any medical issues. Good luck!

My diary is open, so you can take a peek if you need ideas. Lately, I've been eating gluten free oatmeal with blackstrap molasses, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves. I add a chopped up apple. I am a big cereal person. Sometimes I do a protein smoothie. A scoop of protein powder, frozen berries, and unsweetened almond milk. It's…

Noooo!!! What will I do with all of my kids' Almond Joys that they won't eat?!?! I do have to stay away from the candy corn. I can eat that stuff til I'm sick...

Yeah, this. Honestly, I'd just quietly go about starting on my journey. You can prepare delicious meals that are keeping within your daily intake goals. He would be none the wiser. If he was buying my favorite cookies, I'd portion control them and still enjoy. /shrug. It's all about moderation

How am I the first one to post these... Baby Got Back - Sir Mix-a-Lot Rump Shaker - Wreckx-N-Effect Jump Around - House of Pain All of that early 90's hip hop is on my workout mix :)

I added you! I'm also looking for some people to help me out through this journey, so anyone else feel free to add me, please :) Shell - age 37, 5'6", trying to lose 30 lbs..

Definitely stress. "I've had a crap day at work so I really want/need/deserve this [wine, chocolate, whatever there is in the house]." I'm trying to do something else when that urge hits. Getting a small bit of housework done, watching a show from my DVR, walking the dogs, making some hot tea...these are all things that…

The Dillard's near my house just started carrying Wacoal and Natori brand sports bras, both of which are available in extended sizes. I'd definitely suggest getting fitted by a professional first (not VS, try Dillard's or Macy's, or a specialty lingerie store). I thought I was a 38D, but actually needed a 34G. Online, I've…

Have you been to your gyno? Sometimes problems in the female reproductive system can cause abdominal bloating. I'd schedule an appointment, just to be on the safe side.

Protein for sure. Try to get it in smaller areas, like nut butter on an apple, or string cheese with deli turkey as a snack, for example. I'd definitely consider swapping out your current breakfast at least a few days a week. Or try blending protein powder, frozen berries, and unsweetened almond milk. It makes a great,…
