PW: 177.6 CW: 178.0 Not enough skiing and too much French bread, croissants, cake, rice, cheese, crepes, waffles, 0.5 litres of wine plus beer every day while on hols in France last week. Lol. Considering what I ate I'm surprised I didn't gain more! I'm finding it easier to be "good" after a week of eating what I like…

Depends on the race organisers and how likely there are to be safety issues, e.g. you're running somewhere with a lot of other people or there are other members of the public using the park/roads. You will be fine on a 5k with no music, most races are fairly social and its nice to say hello and thank you to the marshals…

Interesting! I'm in the minority so far - although I guess having my own gym, pool and trainer 24hrs a day might help. Would it make any difference it was less money - say 1 million US dollars / GB pounds?

PW: 178 CW: 176.9 Whoo! My lowest weight during BL so far! My partner Lelasutt has been great at encouraging me to stay on the straight and narrow this week and its paid off! Big thanks to Pamstori to for continuing to motivate us and do all the results collating! :)

They are harder for me too. I couldn't figure out why this was until i realised I've been using food to "relax" for years after a tough day at work or tough week. I try to plan specific relaxing things for weekends so I've got something else to look forward to other than eating chocolate and cake. I'm still lapsing but…

I always used to think a calorie was a calorie and as I'd successfully lost weight without low-carbing that it was all nonsense. However 6 months ago I was persuaded to try low-carb for 30 days staring pretty low (20gs or so a day, then increasing after each set of 10 days). Day 1 was fine, on day 2 I felt awful, tired and…

Ditto. Calories burnt is proportional to body weight because it takes more energy to move greater mass, so yes 1000 calories in a hour is possible.

Good trainers! Go to a proper runners store to get fitted. It can take an hour or so to get trainers than really work for you. AND when you start to get niggling shin pain or other ankle, knee, hip pain anywhere in 3-12 months time of running then it means your trainers have worn out and they need replacing. I'm heavy for…

Me and Lelasutt are still in and going strong! Hope everyone else is enjoying the week 7 challenge too :)

Galaxy bar slabs (400 grams) A whole stuffed crust chicken supreme pizza from Pizza Hut (2700 cals per pizza !!!!!!) Sad huh?
-
^^ This! They've already done this in the UK, now instead of a King size at 84g its been replaced by a Duo, e.g. 2smaller bars in one packet at 91g so its more calories. Sometimes you want a nice big chocolate bar ... if they are too small then people will just buy more which is of course what Mars and the other…

You've done good this week - hopefully carb cycling will work for you too though :)
-
Well done - sometimes chilling out at the weekend helps! Great work this week.
-
Well done Wendy :) Thats practically 4lbs - awesome!
-
0.6 lbs is still a loss - don't be disheartened and be pleased that you're working hard and sticking to your healthy eating.
-
Great work and best of luck getting to the 150s! I'm trying to get to sub 80kgs this week - I have a gym kit treat lined up if I do!
-
Well done Alsison - stay strong and avoid those chocolates!
-
4lbs! Wow - well done and great Valentines pressie!
-
Hope you had a great time with the kids - hopefully most of the weight is glycogen/water and it'll come off again quick.
-
Wow! 3lbs in a single week is brillant. Well done and great work on getting to your Valentines day goal weight too with plenty of margin to spare too!
-
Congratulations, over 2lbs in a week is really great. Well done for getting back on track :)
-
Seconded! Although its annoying at least you're still sticking to your goals not giving up. And you haven't gained either. You can do it!

I'm not sure I'd survive a Marathon although I love the idea of fancy dress and having sips of wine to take my mind off 26.2 miles :) Happy Valentines Day!

PW: 179.7 CW: 178.0 Whoo - finally got below my week 5 and week 4 weights again (wk 3 was 177.1). The support from people on MPF have really made a difference to me deciding to get back on the wagon after a difficult week and a half so thanks to everyone for their positive messages. Looking forward to supporting my new…

Great idea! Seeing as I'm trapped inside my flat this morning due to the cold weather I think that I might look up an Easter run that me and my brother can do together!
-
If I could eat one food for the rest of my life and not gain weight/fat from it then it would have to be chocolate. Galaxy chocolate to be really specific. Mmmmm. Luckily I can't get to any right now! Its so cold my car won't start!
-
A readjustment sounds like a very sensible idea. I'd love to be 170 by the end of 12 weeks but that means 6 VERY good weeks and I know I'm going on holiday for 1 week so its probably better if I try to average 6lbs a week and say 176 instead. Well done to everyone so far though. I'm impressed some people have hit their 12…

PW: 178.5 CW: 179.7 Another gain :S I had a cold last week so exercised a lot less than usual and then I went out for dinners and cocktails for my birthday with friends at the weekend and had a huge meal with over a bottle of wine each with family on Monday. PLUS during the week I've been coming home and eating family…

I don't have a Valentine. I haven't had one for years and even the ones when I did have a boyfriend were a huge disappointment (an Easter egg for Valentines???) The first couple of years I used to buy myself flowers, chocolates and/or cookies. A few years on I'm more cynical and just see it as an easy news/storyline day…
