I typically weigh nude and only in the a.m. once a week. However on the day I went to the Dr for my physical I weighed nude, then with clothes since at the Dr I will weigh in their hall with the same clothes. That gives me a good idea if my scale is calebrated correctly. Try to weigh at approximately the same time, wearing…

This is an Awesome thread! Since I started getting my health back my kids are totally on board. My son (14) is a natural athlete and plays in every sport. He just couldn't understand my prior lack of motivation and depression. Now we enjoy so much more quality time together on hikes, walks, bike rides. My 9 year old…

A favorite high school teacher of mine once said, ' Only a boring person can be bored." It is no one elses job to entertain our mind or body and I know this is what he meant. This is a great topic. It makes you think about what you do with all those minutes of time when you are sitting doing nothing, watching TV, driving,…

I've been on MFP since Jan 2012. Down 20 pounds and plenty more to go, but I love to see the 5'2 and under pics. I see myself over and over and over again. I am amazed and encouraged by every pictures. On my profile is a couple of pictures before and along the way. My favorite is the split profile picture with my 'younger'…

May I suggest adding Sodium to your tracker. I am close to your age with similar loss goals and am finding that I have had to cut back on a few of my favorite things, like my wine as well as watching my carbs and sodium much more closely. Recently my loss has slowed, however my diet has changed as well as my exercise due…

Jillian Michaels will Kill you! In my first 3 weeks of 30 day shred along with good eating I lost 2 pant sizes- that is mostly in the waist. It is great for the entire back, midsection, hips and arms. I did 20 minutes a day, but only 5 days a week and achieved good results in April. In am going to give another go around…

I am ok for a few days then my knee and shoulder are telling me it is time for a rest day. I have seen great results and lost almost 2 pant sizes in the waist over the last 30 days. With my day or two a week rest I am making mine a 45 day Shred instead of 30 days but still achieving results and that is what matters most to…

Great Job! The face was the first place I noticed a change. Keep up the great work! Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Calorie Counter

I agree. They are my "in a hurry" go to meal so I avoid a bad choice at a drive thru chain. Pairing one with a small salad or fruit depending on how much time I have seems to work just fine for me. If in a big hurry I go for the Lean Cuisine Garlic Chicken Spring Rolls and a piece of fruit - decent food on the go. Created…

Calorie Carbs Fats Protien Cholesterol Sodium Sodium and Cholesterol are big ones for me due to blood pressure. I rarely eat sweets other than some fruits and I dont drink soda so I don't track sugar, however I do look at it on my weekly progress reports so I know it is staying in check. As well, I look daily at my…

Step up my 30 Day Shred for the last week, then add in a new program until 5/30 when we celebrate my son's 14th birthday and take a short trip. I'm hoping for at least another 5 pounds in May but I will settle with a jean size dropped regardless of that scale! Ordered ROLFW today so we will see if that gives me new…

Definitely give level 2 a try. I think you will find it a nice change from level one. I actually liked level 2 better. I was afraid at first that it would be so much harder but after you build stamina and core muscles in level one you are much more capable of level 2. I still go back and add level one to my work out if I…

Love it! I'm wearing clothes I haven't been able to put on in ages. I started April 1 and even with a few days off here and there I have had very noticable changes. Mine are inches not necessarily a large weight loss yet. Be sure to give it a chance. I noticed most changes around day 10+. Good luck!

That is the most awesome feeling. I did the same thing this a.m. with an adorable top that fit snug around the hips and didn't lay right. I put it on this a.m. and was amazed. I have one of those suits with the tags still on that I am still afraid to bring out of the closet. But those Ahh-haa moments make it all worth it…

This is me.... After years it needs to go - 2 C-sections, an apendectomy and 20+ years of a desk job. Started 30 Day Shred the beginning of April and IT WORKS! People have really noticed a difference in my belly, back and sides since starting Shred. Good Luck!

I started 30 Day Shred on 4/1/12. I have missed 2 days since starting but I try to do additional cardio, ab and arm work on the other days to help offset missing days. I did take before pictures and hope that I see great results by the end of my 30 (+2) days. This program ABSOLUTELY works as I already have noticable…

Hey Tim, I totally understand your issue. I have been a full time single parent for 8 years and haven't even dated the last 3 years. My friend say I have "shut down" my dating probes and guys don't even ask me out anymore. Much like you I am super busy and my top priorities are my Kids and my health right now and throw…

I love it! I was just telling a friend yesterday that it is time to buy a new belt. What a problem to have?!?! Yeah us, keep up the good work.

I'm 5'2 and spent 3 months at 1200 calories /day. The weight has been coming off consisently, down right at 20 pounds now. I am now in my fourth month of MFP and have started 30-day Shred on April 1 so I have upped to 1300 and eat back some of my calories. I agree with the majority of replies that 1200 is low and may not…

Right there with you, we live in central IL but may as well be in STL since we seem to be there all the time for my son's games. His team is about half/half -Blues/Blackhawks and we all got together and went as a team to a Blues/Blackhawks game this season. Very fun! - too bad my son is a Capitals fan???

Go Blues! or if you ask my hockey playing son... go Caps.

I make a crock-pot version of 8-Can-Soup. It makes a lot and I have plenty to share or freeze. This recipe can be adjusted to fit any persons preferences, vegetarian or add meat, low sodium or not, low carb or not- it all depends on what cans you put in it. I start with 2 cans of chili, add 1 can of tomato sauce, 1 can of…

Hey Zilla, I am running in to the same issues with both of my kids. My son will be a freshman and has finished hockey this season and has started conditioning/lifting for football - that is one type of diet. My picky daughter - well that is another story. Then there is me. My goal is to try to bring us all together on at…

I fixed my problem with unhealthy snacks. My coworkers think all I ever eat are healthy snacks(untrue) because I am the "fruit", "granola", "peanut butter", etc girl. I still keep a few AWFUL things in my desk drawer - because they are there if I want them. They have been untouched in the last 2 months. If we have any type…

This is where I started. Brutally Honest with myself. Where did 50 pounds come from? But after 1 1/2 months in to this and down at least 15 pounds(I weigh in on Tuesdays) The things that I thought I was 'giving up" weren't that important after all. My entire first month was exclusively learning food. I have always loved…

Sounds great. Count me in. I am hoping for a few more than 5 but that gives me a good base goal.

Calories, Carbs and fats are just that. and need to be recorded. Of course they are so much better for you than many other foods, however as many have said they still add up. Created by MyFitnessPal.com - Free Weight Loss Tools

parteegirl01 is exactly right. In my previous life I worked for a Chiropractor and one of the best things I learned was caring for my neck/spine. I have this problem quite often due to an accident that caused 2 bulging disks in my neck. It always affects my ring finger and pinky. After a compression type work out like…
