Hi everyone, I'm Louise, I'm 26 and live in Upper Hutt, Wellington. Started here on MFP last month. My starting weight was 101.5 kg but I've got down to 99.4 so far. Goal weight of 70kg so a little ways to go yet.

Hi Jazzgnat! I'm pretty new on here too. Just joined this group last week. I'm currently about 217, trying to get down to about 155 or so. I'm slightly estimating the pounds here, because I normally measure in kg.

Wow, a lot of arguing in this thread. What I've discovered from reading message boards here in general, is that the solution is that there is no one solution. There is no one way to do things that works for everybody. Everyone has different bodies, different lifestyles, different tastes and different amounts of willpower.…

Yeah, I agree dance shoes would work- Jazz sneakers would be my recommendation. I wear cross trainers and find them good because they are springy and allow for a lot of movement, and my feet never get sore. Only problem is I have to be careful because sometimes I start to roll over on my ankle because the soles are too…

I'm not exactly sure how tall I am, but I think about 5'3 or 5'4. Currently weight 99.4 kg, which apparently is about 217 pounds. Quite a long way to go, I'm looking to get down to at least 70kg. (154 pounds)

I play Zumba on the PS3 six days a week. Usually just the 20 minute routines each day, but I'll do a 45 minute one once or twice a week. And I'll go for a 30 minute walk once or twice a week. I don't really plan which days I'll do things, I wait and see how it goes each day.

My 18th birthday was really cool. My boyfriend at the time Jason wrote a song, and he and his band performed it for me in the music room at our school during interval. That same birthday, my friend Sarah had been asking me what I wanted for my birthday, and I wasn't sure. My friend Michelle said jokingly that Sarah should…

That difficult moment when I go to eat breakfast and realise there's pretty much no food left in the house.

Not so much metal but I love punk.

Yeah, I weigh more than my boyfriend, by probably about 20 kg, not sure because he never weighs himself. But he's only slightly taller than me, and his whole family are naturally very skinny, so I figure it's to be expected.

I love that you've lost 61 lbs.

Hi, I just joined a week or two ago. Keep posting in the forums, and you'll get some friends soon enough.

Hi guys, I'm Louise and I've just joined this group, not in a house yet. I would love to be in Ravenclaw if I can, I'm a beta tester on the new Pottermore site and I was sorted into Ravenclaw there. Just started here on MFP, I don't actually own a pair of scales yet so I have no way of weighing myself at the moment, but I…

Ouch. It can be really easy sometimes to mistake thirst for hunger. Next time I guess, have some water and try and wait a bit longer before giving in to the urge to eat. If the water makes you feel slightly less hungry, then you know your body's just tricking you. Try not to think of your binge as a setback. Just try to…

Good on you for taking charge of your life and making some changes. I understand a lot of what you've been through, my Nana suffered from Alzheimers for many years. She developed it after my grandad died, when I was five, and slowly deteriorated until she had to move into a home because she couldn't look after herself. But…

Hi I'm 26 and trying to lose around 50 or so pounds. Kinda struggled with weight most of my life, but the last few years I worked at Burger King for a while (left five months ago) and the weight slowly piled on while working there, so now comes the hard work of trying to work it off. Only just started here on MFP, but…

I've lived all my life in New Zealand. But going back a few generations, my family was originally a mix of English, Irish, Scottish and Welsh.

Hi I'm 26 and looking to lose around 50 or 60 pounds. Definitely would like some more friends on this site to help inspire me.

The Zumba game on Wii is great. Could be a little intensive, but it definitely builds up a sweat.

I hate the taste of water too. Try putting a slice of lemon or orange with it, that'll definitely make it taste nicer. Also, keep a jug of water in the fridge and drink it with ice. I find iced water easier to drink than cool tap water, because it tastes less like that tap water taste.
-
The only thing I have drunk today is water. No tea, coffee, soft drinks, juice or anything else.

An Optical Assistant. Basically an Optometrist's receptionist/ glasses salesperson.

I'm not an Aussie but I'm from New Zealand, so not too far away. Yeah, totally sympathise with what everyone is saying here. I work close to a Burger King, and I used to work at that Burger King myself so the staff there often give me discounts if I go in. But I almost never go in these days.

9. Would maybe be a 10 if I could see your face too.

Which body fat calculator did you use, out of curiosity? Also, I wouldn't worry about that too much. If you're exercising enough regularly, over time it's going to balance out into burning fat instead of muscle. Your body tends to fluctuate a bit so you need to take the results over quite a long period before you can be…

Does anyone know what the general pounds/ kilos ratio is? Because I hear everyone on the site using measurements in pounds and I have no idea how much it is. I need to lose around 20 kilos or so. How much is that in pounds? I weigh around 90 kg all up.
-
Yeah I do this all the time. In my head it seems like if I eat it all at once, then I can start eating healthy again afterwards because there'll be no junk food in the house. But it never works that way in the end. Because what will happen is, I'll eat that whole bag of chocolate biscuits in one sitting, then the next few…
