I have been using a heart rate monitor since I was a competitive runner in high school, your numbers seems accurate to me.
-
My current resting heart rate is around 65. Easy run at 9 min mile, my heart rate is in the 140's, going at a little accelerated pace 8 min mile looking high 150's, and race pace 7-7:30 min miles i am high 170's, low 1 80's

On April 13th 2012 Guinness World Records presented the Heart Attack Grill with an official certificate proclaiming... "Most calorific burger Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas includes in its menu the 1.444kg (3lb 2.94oz) Quadruple Bypass Burger packing 9,982 calories. It's 6.91 calories per gram (195.95 calories per ounce)…

I would fix it, but then again I am handy. For the treadmill, there usually is a speed button that one pres makes it go up .1 mph, so you can then determine the speed, aka, 10 pushes equals 1.0 MPH, then derive from this chart: 6:00 min mile equals 10 mph 6:30 Min mile equals 9.23 mph 7 min mile = 8.57 mph 7:30 min mile =…

So majority of Obese people have thyroid problems? Come on now, lets get real here. Skinny people piss you off? Thats fresh too. :explode:

Yes this most definately will work if you stick with it.

My heart rate monitor is pretty accurate, so my burns listed are usually very close to accurate, weird being in the 1%. Work outs that get me over 1000 calories, 5+ mile run at 8:30 mile pace or faster, 20 mile bike at average cadence of 85 RPM/17 mph or faster, and circuit training hard for hour and 15 minutes will get me…

Do a Google search (takes all the number crunching out of the deal) for BMR calculator and TDEE calculator, there a few different ones, but for the most part will give you a pretty close number. BMR is your basic metobolic rate, your break even, your TDEE is what you need to eat based off of your daily routine, once you…

My first thought is you aren't eating enough, 1200 calories a day is damn near starvation, which is no bueno. Have you calculated your BRM or your TDEE? Are you excersising?

I get that from time to time too, wake up and feel like I had smoked a pack of cigarettes the day before. My doctor said that depending on how long you smoked, the tar and other junk in your lungs can hang around for many years afterwards, so, our bodies are still getting rid of that junk, we can't fix the damage already…

This thread makes me glad I met my fiance, and further proves the irrationality of about half the female species. Look I ain't saying shes a gold digger, but.......

I had before and it worked great, kept me away from the Booze, which is my weakness, never had a problem with the munchies, you just can't take that first bite. Can't do that while in school though, sob sob, tear, I won't study.....

From a runner, look up some plyometric exercises on line, I find that they help build these muscles, here is a good 10 minute workout: Warm up with 3 minutes of walking lunges, deep squats, and jumping jacks to prepare your legs for maximal-effort jumping. Jump as high as you can off both feet. Repeat 20 times. Rest one…

I have a 16 ounce Starbucks cup, in the morning I fill it up, pound it, fill it back up and drink it through the course of the morning, once it is empty I fill it up, and pound it down, fill it back up and drink the rest through the day, and repeat....with the water I drink at the gym or post runs, 64 ounces turns in to…

I am not fat, on the skinny side, don't starve, eat what I want, within reason of course, and happier than I have ever been.....just saying.
-
I drink well near a gallon a day, I exercise a lot though, and need to hydrate to keep up with my body. There have been a few studies that have shown water increases the rate at which we burn calories, although the same size in my opinion doesn't give it enough weight to call it a fact, but water is good, and zero calories!
-
Yes definately increase with that much activity your body isn't getting enough fuel.
