Hubby and I did a mini-juice fast. He coulnd't handle the sweetness too much either. So he didn't use as much fruit, carrots or beets. But he still loaded up the veggies. A broth of some sort might work, I only worry about the sodium. Good Luck!

WELCOME!! I am stunned by what you have gone through. You are an incredible perosn to have gone through this and still make the choice to do something about. Many would give up, especially with the heart issue. I applaud you! Just remember, it will take time and considering everything, it may take a lot of time, but this…

Anything from Madonna's "Like a Virgin", Michael Jackson's "Thriller", Wham and/ or George Michael, Bon Jovi's "Slippery When Wet", maybe a little Culture Club, Duran Duran, Thompson Twins, "Relax" by Frankie Goes to Hollywood, maybe some early Poison...Hope this helps!! Have a great time!

Maybe plan for a small, low-cal snack between breakfast and lunch.

WELCOME!! This is a great tool. GOOD LUCK!!

I am new to this, but it seems like you should start out by walking in order to knowing how you feel and how your body feels. Then gradually do more and slowly incorporate a walk/ jog/ walk/ jog until you and your body get used to "running". Also the couch to 10k and couch to 5k are good tools. Good Luck!!

Had to look it up...lol. Sounds kind of interesting. If you try it, let me know how it works. I have terrible knees and would like to know if it really works and if it's beneficial.

Maybe you could try ground turkey in place of hamburger. My family didn't even notice a difference when I made chili, tacos, etc with it. By the time I told them, they were hooked and now we don't eat hamburger, unless we go out. Hope this will help! GOOD LUCK - You CAN do this!!

WELCOME!! This is a great site. Full of advice, support and encouragement. I, too, battle PCOS and know how hard it can be to lose weight, but it is doable! Have faith in yourself, stay consistent and know everyone is here for the same reasons and are here for you!

I have the same impatient behavior...haha. I just tell myself; "I didn't gain it overnight, therefore, I'm not gonna lose it overnight." Be consistent, don't give up. You CAN do this!!

For me, it depends on if I am really, honestly hungry. If I start to feel the urge, I will review my food diary while drinking a glass of water. Most of the time, this will curb my hunger and I won't snack. BUT, if I am honestly hungry, I will have a light yogurt, raw veggies or a piece of fruit.
