  • if it was at a raceline, I'd hopefully have a water bottle, and just squirt some over me - though that'd probably make me look a loon lol :) If I had no water - I'd borrow someone elses, and that would be even weirder ;)
  • well I think I shall be repeating w5d2 again tomorrow, seeing as todays run was somewhat impeded by a cyclist running my dog over on the beach! Thankfully she seems ok, just a little sore poor dear! Those 8 minute runs are killer, how on EARTH I'll do 20 I don't know - though I am looking forward to breaking that "evil…
  • don't worry about it - we all have times in our lives when we're ill, and if the body says don't eat, then I'm happy to listen to it. Just log and continue as normal and hope that your throat feels better soon!
  • ok so I've only seen that gif, but it doesn't look like they're actually wearing lingerie, a-la Victorias Secret or anything. It's no worse than watching Gladiators, those of you who remember that. Really can't see how it's degrading at all! Yes, the name is silly and gimmicky, but hell I bet it does exactly what it's…
  • I think it sounds a bit high. I've been logging my c25k sessions just using mfp and inputting the amount of time jogged and the amount of time walked over a session, and I might be getting 200 calories burned - and that's in week 5! I've got me a hrm coming soon though so who knows, maybe I've been wildly underestimating…
  • If you're hungry daily then there's probably something not right with what / how much you're eating! take a look around at some people's diaries and compare it to your own, and perhaps see where you can make some adjustments. We can't really advise you on your diary unless it is open though. There's a good chance you're…
  • I'm looking for one of them too, but I want to find one on offer lmao, £54 is the cheapest I've seen it and that's a bit above budget right now :(
  • depends what type you got - the ones that monitor continuously do so because they have a chest strap which you attach, and it's that that does the measuring.
  • who's hitting week 5 with me today then? Looking forward to nailing this week - if I can make that 20 minute run, I'll be laughing all through next weekend!
  • I'm just shy of 29 and relate to all of it lol.
  • For me, I would listen to my body and give it whatever it wanted, and log it dutifully. More often than not when ill we want comforting things like chicken soup, and that's not so bad! But hey, if you're sick and don't feel like eating, your body is probably telling you that for a reason! You can always add a note on the…
  • the scale may hate you - but have you tried tracking measurements? Maybe the tape measure will love you to make up for the scale being the baddie :)
  • thanks guys - I wasn't going to worry about a HRM until I did a wii zumba session the other day if I'm honest! As Berry said, I usually just log time / speed for my run sessions to get a calorie estimate, which I was happy with - it was only after this 20 minutes of zumba that I suddenly decided I HAD to know what the…
  • 1) without knowing your current weight / goals or what you're eating we can't really advise you - you might not be eating enough net calories. 2) are you following MFP guidelines as to calorie intake? 3) 1 week isn't going to show you a lot on any weight loss regime. Give it time :) 4) diet pills seem to be pointless,…
  • It's fruity bread :) And great with philadelphia on top.
  • lanacaine anti chafing gel, without a word of a lie is magic - it does exactly what it says on the tin!
  • I've just borrowed my sisters zumba 1... I know for a fact if somebody could have seen me they would not have thought "she's doing zumba / dancing / looking good"!! I truly thought I was ballsing it up more than getting it right, and I didn't think I liked it too much. But I didn't bother with the learning how to do the…
  • I'm really lucky that my local parkrun is on the beach where I live, and where I'm currently doing my c25k sessions. I've signed up and plan to start them in a few weeks :)
  • I had exactly the same problem, went to a running shop, came away with some fantabulous shoes, no more shin splints! Try to hang back on your speed as well, and as Berry said, land as light as you can. In fact, go read Berrys link, it's great :) Good luck and keep up with it! (but not until you have the right shoes!)
  • Finally got some, oh my god it is deliscious! To me makes me think exactly of molten easter eggs, what a winner! 15g spread over a ryvita fruit crunch makes a truly decadent treat! This had better stick around, it is the only chocolate I have allowed myself since being on mfp :)
  • Did anybody else notice that some sneaky tomatoes have made their way down to infiltrate the vegetable section ^_^
  • checking in to let everyone know, week 4 day 2 complete! You know what this means guys? HALF WAY THROUGH THE PROGRAMME YEAH! Each run from now makes me closer to the end than the beginning! My running buddy has developed an even greater love for my sessions than me - without fail now when it's run night she sits in front…
  • Exercise! I always find I eat less on run days.
  • Hehe yep, already done that cos I was getting shin splints in week 1 lol! I am in love with my Asics, good money well spent! Without them there's no way I'd still be doing the program!

  • hehe, sorry that this is of absolutely NO help at all, but to me, Stamina is the green bar at the bottom right in Skyrim :) And in accordance to Skyrim rules, drinknig alcohol obviously improves one's stamina! ;)
