I have logged the 100g - still, 368 calories for 40g of consumable.. not sure even a cheesecake can beat that kind of calorific density.. it doesn't seem to add up

In for interesting replies. Also :noway:

a jar of groovy food company extras virgon coconut oil is about £6 in tesco, great for hair moisturising, makeup removal, and cooking with in place of vegetable or olive oils. Love cooking fish and roasting veg in it particularly!

I often eat exactly the same thing day in day out for several weeks at a time, it's easier and cheaper. If it's within your calorie range, then sure, why not eat the same things. My only advice is that boredom definitely becomes a factor, even when you love something. I've had couscous, butternut squash and a piece of meat…

First of all, if your user name is after the awesome atari game, you win the internets. (and if it's not, then strange!) Secondly, if it works better for you to have a weekly defecit rather than a daily one, then why not? As long as your defecit for the week is 3500cals for example, your weight loss should be 1lb. Though I…

2 bananas, 200ml skimmed milk, blend. Much healthier, tastes awesome

and, if in doubt, have a cocktail. calories AND fruity :drinker:

it's dead easy to add several hundred calories without noticing if you do the right stuff (hell, that's why half of us ended up here after all!) Nuts and seeds are BRILLIANT for adding good cals without eating huge amounts, avo is great in salads and sarnies, and when cooking meat or veg in the oven, cook it in some extra…

Time is going to be a big factor, not eating chocolate for 2 weeks will not be showing on the scale for you yet. for me, I was logging and exercising for over a month before I saw the scale start to drop, and I know this happens with a lot of people. Be honest with everything you eat and do, and always try to do a little…

eating 1300+ calories with exercise added on top so I don't think that's the problem, plus certain muscles are definitely more defined so I don't think I'm dropping muscle and keeping fat - least I hope not!. I do just feel very bleurgh right now as I have a cold, probably NOT the best time to have taken the pics! I do…

I rub it all over my... hair. And use it as a makeup remover. I also might stick a teaspoonful in if I'm baking butternut squash. It's great stuff

I've actually owned two, the first one became the stereotypical clothes hanger, so much so it ended up in the garden to put the laundry on, left outside for a couple of winders, probably used once or twice, utter waste of money. But recently, I have decided I actually am going to get fit and burn cals in order to hit my…

nope can't fit into them. It's not just the hips and thighs, but the calves as well. To get "skinny jeans" style that fit my calves I have to go up to a size 16 - which is then waaay to big for the top half. It's just not the style for me!

If it fits your calories (and/or marcos if you are following that), then as much as you want. I love me some prawns but can't afford to eat them half as much as I'd like :grumble:

I just have it all in my lounge, elliptical, step bench, some dumbells, and the trust wii for zumba and my fitness coach sessions daily :)

Lol am I the only person who finds that wine makes me LESS inclined to snack? When I'm in a happy wine place, all I want is a little more wine, no need for food to ruin it  :drinker:

Another daily drinker here - but it fits in my calories so I'm not planning on changing it yet! LOVE the "will run for rum" - this is totally up my alley! :drinker:

Yep, I jumped back on the bandwagon about 6 weeks ago after having a years hiatus due to life going totally to *kitten* and not coping very well with it - it took me a whole year to be in the right place to even want to try again. But the good news is this time I'm doing much better at staying within goal, am having much…

I'm going to stick my head above the parapet with recognition it will probably be shot off, but... I drink pretty much every night. Sometimes only a beer, more often than not around 1/3 - 1/2 of a bottle of red wine. Every now and then I will have a couple of bottles, but these events are comparitively few and far between.…

F**k of I'm full

Right now my goto meal is couscous, butternut squash and meat (chicken, pork, lamb, whatever I have), I do 40g couscous, 180g buttnet, and around 100g of the meat. i add all sorts of flavourings and seasoning to change up the taste, sometimes I use sweet things like honey to roast the squash, others it's garlic.. as…

I actualy find it is saving me money as i buy a packet of meat e.g. four pork chops, then pre-weigh out portions and freeze them individually and just defrost the day I want to eat them. It's making food go further with less waste

Rather than having diet foods to leave calories, and if you're hungry all the time, exercise more to get more calories to eat. I also work long days and yes it's the last thing you want to do after a shift, but I am finding that by doing 30 minutes a day I'm getting myself a couple hundred extra calories to eatand it's…

Here's one for you - I don't really drink any sodas, but last weekend diet coke was on the menu at a friends house so that is what I drank during the day and evening. Couldn't get to sleep that night, then 5am the next morning, had a serious case of liquid delhi belly. Guess I'm not geared up for it, I've certainly been…

I don't know if you're in the uk or not, but if you're thinking dumbells, Argos are doing a pro fitness tree with 3 different weights on for £9.99. I'm just off to pick mine up now :) The weights range from 1kg up to 4.5kg

Stupid question but are you eating back your exercise cals?

Does breathing shallowly abate the pain? Just wondering if it could be a Texidors twinge http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Precordial_catch_syndrome Agreed that it's better to get checked out and be nothing than have it be something serious with no medical help on hand, fingers crossed for you!

They are sold as prawns though I believe they are shrimp in the species defenition - in the uk they aren't differentiated between... As for the low cal lunch, it works well for me because my big eating / drinking time is habitually the evening - my main calorie cutbacks have been my lunchtime binges and its working well…
