Why not? I agree that a guy that does sort of manual labor or like a read hands on job (EMT, Firefighter, etc) is a big turn on!

I'm in a similar boat. I've lost weight unhealthfully and got pretty thin, but now I'm a little bit too heavy and I want to get to a place where I'm happy and healthy. You could try adding in weights! They will help you build lean muscle and up your metabolism! Good luck and feel free to add me!

Soreness is good. Soreness means what you're doing is working. Try your best to to the exercises through the soreness. I was very sore on Tuesday and Wednesday but still did my strength training and on Thursday I had almost no soreness. You can do it, being sore is a good thing!

I'll be your friend! I'd love for some new friends too! Anything to keep the motivation up!

You're diet is actually quite similar to mine! I'm a fellow lifter too!

Yes! Friends are always welcome!

That's a good idea! I'm just an impatient person in general, even when it comes to waiting for dinner to be ready  I'll keep this in mind!

Thank you for some great responses! I just have to keep telling myself that the days, weeks, and months are going to go by no matter what, so why not do something good in that time?

I'm here to easily track my calories and lose the weight I've put on since going to college.

Yup! I just finished my sophomore year and will be a junior nursing student next year! I'm here to drop the freshman/sophomore 10 lbs

I'm between straight and hourglass, but all my extra weight is on my tummy  . I just need to get rid of that so it can match my toothpick arms and legs

Yes, I'm 5'4" and I currently weigh 128 lbs. I'm looking to lose 18 lbs, but it's so hard when you're already in a normal BMI. The weight comes off so slowly. Hopefully when I start adding in weights at the gym, it'll pick up a bit!

This is about the end of my first week too (well beginning of 2nd) and I've lost 1 pound! Slow but at least it's moving, and not much I can do with the food here at college.

Believe me, if there was a time I wanted to throw in the towel, it's now. I'm so frustrated because I was sick over the weekend, but I lost weight. Now that I'm better, all the weight is coming back. It's really making me mad. You just have to visualize what you want and know that a few sacrifices now will make you so much…
