  • Good morning lovely ladies-- It is a beautiful morning here in the Ozarks, 65 degrees. I joined MPF in January but didn't start the exercising right away. One change at a time.:. I started walking for 20 min. huffing and puffing but I just finished a 70 min. walk. If you would have told me 7 weeks ago that…
  • Linda,--Sorry to hear about the food poisoning. I've had it once and it is no fun. Hope you are feeling better and that tomorrow will be a better day. :flowerforyou:
  • TGIF! Hello Lovely Ladies-- It's been a long week at work and kind of has me down in the dumps. :explode: But I thank God I have a job. I don't know if going to SS office to sign up for Medicare (I was too early and have to go back in Oct) has anything to do with it. I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around the fact…

  • Someone please, What is NSV?????????
  • I tried the Fiber One bars and they did a real thing on me. Bad gas and cramps.
  • My husband loves oatmeal and only eats the old fashioned oats. I tried and tried (because I knew it was good for me) but just couldn't do it. BUT when I started this journey I decided I needed something I could make for breakfast at work. I bought the instant packages and now I eat it 4-5 days a week. I decided it was a…

  • Good evening ladies, I've been doing the MFP plan since January 2012 and have lost 46#. I have bad feet and knees so I started exercising slowly. I work sitting at desk/computer all day and have lived a sedentary/couch potato lifestyle :embarassed: In the last 6 weeks I have started walking before work. I have…
  • Hello Ladies, What a great bunch of ladies!! :glasses: I love all the support and encouragement that is found here. Just got home after a busy day and the first thing I did was log my food and read this thread. I can't believe it is August already. This will be my first time to log my monthly goals. August goals: Continue…
  • Sounds deeeeelicious!!
  • I like to use either kidney or pinto beans on salad in the place of meat for protein. I also make a slaw with shredded cabbage, beans and a Robusto Italian dressing. YUM! You can add any other veggies you like.
  • Cross legs, tie shoes, walk for 50 min. and not get winded, can actually walk with my mouth closed (used to have it open just to breathe), cut my own toe nails, and bend over without feeling like I have a hard lump in my stomach.
  • I have a Biggest Loser digital scale and love it. It measures grams or ounces/pounds. I helps me stay on track.
  • I'm in. I haven't written it anywhere until now but I also have a goal to be at or below 200 by Labor Day. I have 11# to go.
  • It sounds absolutely DEEEEEElicisous!
  • I finally found you. Did I do something wrong that I couldn't find you all. It looked like no one had posted. I've got to go to choir practice before church so I'll talk to you all later. Micki
  • Pork tenderloin, sliced tomatoes, and roasted veggies. I'm really into the roasted veggies. Tonight - baby red potatoes, carrots, yellow squash, onions, garlic and a little olive oil. I mix up the veggies depending on what I have on hand.
  • Hi ladies, I wanted to thank everyone for the prayers for my friend Geanie. Her cancer surgery was a success  and it sounds like she won't need any chemo or radiation. Praise the Lord! Linda - I agree with you. I have adopted the no food off limits as well. I want this to be a way of life and I can't see myself…
  • Hi everyone. I hope this is how to post. I had a great day. I went to the doctor for a physical today. Since my blood work last year: glucose down 7, triglycerides down 31, cholesterol down 47. Whoooo!!!!! :flowerforyou: The results were much better than I expected. Please pray tonight for my friend/coworker Geanie. She…
  • I don't eat breakfast until I'm at work so my go to breakfast during the week is a package of high fiber brown sugar oatmeal with either fresh blueberries or low sugar cinnamon apple sauce (warmed) and sometimes 1/2 oz. walnuts ( I premeasure these in ziplock bags)
  • I live in Springfield but my son, d-i-l and grandsons live in Park Hills.
  • Our staples are: spring mix cucumbers peppers (red, yellow, or orange) celery (for crunch) tomatoes For protein: grilled or rotisserie chicken, tuna or salmon (for my husband- I don't like fish), pinto or kidney beans Other items depending of availability and how many calories left: frozen peas, broccoli, hard boiled egg,…
  • Joined MFP in January and have been logging food daily. I'm not a writer so up until now have just been reading other's posts. I've lost just shy of 40# since January 3rd and would like to loose at least another 60# . I am having a hard time loosing lately, up and down the same couple of pounds. I do pretty well with the…
