Yes, I tore with my 2nd and it remained tender. Thankfully it did not tear again with my third. Vitamin E oil might be helpful - I know it's recommended for c-section scar motility, since so many women end up having scar-related issues (adhesions etc).

I am using Earth Mama Angel Baby tea to boost supply so that I can pump enough at work and it's been fantastic. I've used pretty much every other brand and theirs is the only one to noticeably increase my output... to where I pumped 9 oz Saturday during my baby's nap, because I had no choice, I needed some relief. I don't…

This :( I want us to be like old people in commercials, not wheeling an oxygen tank through the mall.

I don't think it has any special effects on weight loss but I do use it and fit it in to my daily calories, and I use it as makeup remover, moisturizer, diaper ointment, etc. A little bit goes a long way. I don't typically consume 2 tbsp in a day... I need to leave room for butter :P

I didn't have any internal exams until I went into labor but I know I wasn't dilating ahead of time because I didn't have any dilation with both of my natural births until labor got really intense. I had contractions for a few weeks leading up to labor. My water also broke both times days ahead of the actual birth, which…

If you just had a baby in the last few months then I would give it more time.

You'll want to look it up, but I don't think you need an ultrasound. If you lie down on your back you can feel with your fingers whether there is a separation, and how much of a separation, and then a doctor should be able to confirm it for you.

I'm on my iPad with safari. One annoying thing is that if I just go to myfitnesspal.com it redirects me to iTunes to buy the app. So I go directly to the forums.

If it's just a shake with added protein then I don't see the problem. If it has high amounts of caffeine or any weight loss herbs, I would definitely avoid it.

It's a pretty common disease in childhood so hopefully you had it already :)

Puroast makes a low acid coffee. Our local grocery store carries it, as well as Amazon. I know people with GERD who swear by it (I drink it, but I don't have GERD so I can't really attest to the acid-related properties.)

So glad to hear that! I eat around 2100 and even then I feel hungry sometimes.

I think 1800-2000 is very wise. If you don't see a loss after a few weeks, you could try eating a little less. It gets easier once nursing sessions are replaced with actual meals - my body, at least, started acting the way it was supposed to and was less ruled by hormones :)

Well, according to this http://www.annualreviews.org/doi/abs/10.1146/annurev.nutr.17.1.19 the avg woman uses 670 calories/day for breastfeeding, and you use between 400-500 just to run your brain.... and then of course there's the whole rest of your body so breastfeeding moms need to eat a lot more than 1200 calories!…

Here's mine...it's kind of a cool day to post because one year ago is right around when I got pregnant, so it's quite a roller coaster! eh never mind. It goes up and down LOL

I am a vegetarian and I lose weight the same way every one else does. I don't think it's low metabolism that caused you to gain back the weight, but the fact that you didn't actually lose fat, as fat loss is caused by a calorie deficit and not a crash diet. Feel free to friend me, if you want to peek at my diary :)

Hi! My baby is just about 3 mos. I haven't had much opportunity to workout but I've tried to get in a few walks. All the pregnancy weight is gone, now to lose the rest of it! I am breastfeeding so eating lots and losing slowly.

If the baby is exclusively breastfed you can even toss poop diapers in the washer. There are liners you can use. The diaper is still dirty after, but it's not as much work to separate the poo.

Any decongestant should help you dry up. I agree to avoid the tight fitting bra. Peppermint essential oil could be helpful as long as baby isn't absorbing it as well ( I'm leery about little ones and EO). You can really just play it by ear. Stop nursing, and if you become engorged, pump just enough to take the edge off.…

I love the leaky b@@b blog and facebook page for bfing Fearless Formula Feeder is a great resource for anyone who uses formula, bottles, whether it's practical information or dealing with emotions. Car seat web sites are a great resource, the ones winklkr mentioned are the ones I follow on facebook. Spinningbabies for…

We cloth diaper, but occasionally do disposables. I have two in diapers and can't even think about what the cost would be! I have been doing it for 2 1/2 years so I've amassed a few different styles and just finally bought some Charlie's soap, which is working great on them. I try to use a liner for solids but it's hit or…

Well, it's definitely the *better* choice for us at this time, though we have a hard time fitting in social activities. Academically, it's wonderful because he can work at his own pace and like most kids, that pace varies from lightspeed to mind numbingly slow. He needs a lot of breaks and opportunities to run around,…

I ate maintenance until the third trimester and then ate a little over (if I was starving I ate a lot, but I tried to really pay attention to whether it was hunger or a "that looks yummy" whim). I netted a 20lb gain and it came off quickly (the first 19 were gone by 2 weeks pp and then I gained/lost the last pound over the…

Hi, I just returned to work today. I have a 3 month old (in my pic there) as well as a 2yo and 8yo. We're in a transition period right now, with me working and my newly graduated husband looking for a new job. He's always been at home with the kids but who knows what the future brings. Homeschooling and autism are also…

That's what my second was like, which is why we booked to the hosp when contractions started with the third. Nope!!!

My first was 10 days overdue and a c section after failed induction. My second was exactly 42 weeks and spontaneous labor. My third was just about 40'werks. He wouldn't drop/turn so labored in the hospital for three and a half days with some interventions before everything fell into place and he came out. I was surprised…

My guess is that one serving has less than one calorie. If you eat a lot of servings, you will have calories to count.
