I adore tea and don't use any sweetener. Lupicia has wonderful loose leaf teas in all kinds of combinations, like Banana Chocolate or Wedding (which is a black tea with real rose leaves in it). They are in Hawaii and on the West Coast - but they do have an online store. For generally available (usually in the grocery…

This is something I recently discovered, and was dismayed by - Jiffy products have animal shortening, like lard, in them. At least the basic muffin mixes I've seen, do. Just FYI for vegetarians who are on the lookout for that stuff. I'm not vegetarian, but don't like to consume lard, so I was highly disappointed to have to…

After days of sitting around worrying about the hurricane, I got on my bike. Added 11.6, for a total of 161.8

These are delicious! Thanks, OP! I made mine with pepper jack cheese instead of the queso and left out the beans (just because I don't like them). I've made two batches in two weeks. So good!

Fantastic job, fellow Doctor Who fan! You are an inspiration!

I forced myself to get on the bike tonight, after my last post. It was so hard after these couple of weeks away! But, I would not let myself quit, and I finally eeked out 10 miles. For a while I was really considering a "you're still jet lagged" excuse and quitting at 6. But then I thought about how disappointed I would be…

Gah. With the run up to my vacation, I was biking, but forgetting to come in here and log my miles! I just looked over my records and quadruple checked - I didn't enter 20.2 miles. Whoops. :) So, now I am up to 140.2. Another shield on the Eowyn site! Yay! I've just passed "Leave road and head north into Chetwood. No…

Finally got on the bike for first time in September! Hoping I can hit my 100 mile goal - I seem to be fading out at the end of these challenges. 9/10 - 10.0 miles 9/12 - 10.3 miles Total: 20.3 miles

I forgot to log in my miles from last Wednesday, yikes! An additional 10.3 miles, for an even 120 miles. [img][/img]

Okay, I'm back on the bike and back to working towards Rivendell. And, I made it up over a century! 109.7 to be precise. And, that means I've got another shield on the Eowyn site. Very excited! BMcC9 - Looking forward to hearing more from you. :) Zippo is really moving along! Alright - in my travels, I'm just short of a…

My new favorite way is to put about a pound and half of tenders in the slow cooker with La Choy Orange Ginger Sauce/Marinade. Cook on low 4 -6 hours - delish! Nothing else needed. Yum.

I hope it's not too late to join! I'm going to be more realistic (for me) and aim for 100 miles this month. I need to start with smaller goals, as I didn't meet the last challenge I entered. But I will do this!

There's a group here specifically for New Rules, with lots of info in it. I'm not sure there is one for Stronglift - but it seems likely. I'm just about to start the New Rules program myself, so can't offer direct advice. Search out the groups, 'tho - it'll help. Good luck!

8/1 - 10.0 mi 8/3 - 10.4 mi 8/8 - 8 mi - darn knee. I've had to take off all this week for it. I'm going to have to find days to make up for the loss. 8/11- 10 mi 8/15 - 10.1 mi 8/17 - 10.0 mi 8/22 - 10.0 mi Total: 68.5 At this rate, seems like I'll be lucky to make 100 miles. But I shall persevere!

Just under a 100 miles! Next time, I'm going to be over a century! I've visited Tom Bombadil and have left them - unfortunately, only to fall into the clutches of the Barrow-wights! Gah! [img][/img]

Added in 10 miles today, for a total of 89.7. Woot! I'm getting close to 100 miles! Yay! ScarlettVetter - I think I'm not following what you mean. I noticed that my ticker code updates every post I've ever made, instead of just the one for the day, but I think I'm okay with that. I'd like the earlier ones to be static, but…

Those moccasins are really cute! I'm totally jealous. Also jealous that you've been to the Ohio fest - I'm from Ohio and have never been! Of course, I left the heart of it all before I even knew what a fest was! I would love to meet more MFP peeps, too. Let me dig up a pic of my Venetian for the MD Renn Fest for y'all!
-
I adore the Ren Fest! My home faire is MD Ren Festival. I have a ton of friends in the midwest, so have traveled out to Bristol a couple of years in a row now, usually for the weekend when they do Day of Wrong. We show up in crazy stuff - last year we did holidays and I went as Bastille Day, elizabethan style. I was going…

Finally got in more cycling tonight! Up to 59.6 miles with the 8 I did tonight. I've got two shields on the Eowyn Challenge Site. Woot! I'm past "Reach area of the Marish with fields, meadows, hedges, gates, and drainage dikes" and just short of the next marker. [img][/img]

I bought mine right on the Enell website, back when they offered purple as a color. kittyr77 is right - the support for bras is definitely from the band. I used to do the double sports bra thing, but it just wasn't enough support - I was still moving. I'm looking forward to when I lose enough weight to go back to using my…

I've found the answer lies in the sports bra. I bought an Enell, and have never had a problem since then. Really excellent bra, worth every penny (they are expensive) and I do not move at all, no matter what level of bouncing the rest of me is doing. http://enell.com/ Edit to add: I'm a 46 F.
