I've got migraines in the past but thankfully, I really only get headaches now - but even they've gone. I moved to a paleo/primal diet - I vary on how strict I am. Mine were stress and hormonal based - sticking essentially to gluten free / sugar free means I don't get headaches. Staying off the wheat/sugar seems to allow…

That's super, just think where you'll be in two years time!!

Feel free to add me, I jump between being primal and paleo, more primal - actually I prefer not to label it other than I eat real food. I've no difficulty at all in hitting 1500! A bit too easy at times. I've had to cut back on coconut milk at times. I need to remember the phrase your mouth is not a hoover. But if I don't…

Going to be a bit mean here, but this one is simple - don't keep bad food in the house! There's only you there, if you buy c$@p then you'll eat it all. I find I love almond butter, I also think on an apple it's a healthy snack - but....I can't sit easy till the jar is all gone - so I don't buy it! Just don't buy stuff.…

Good and fair question. I've tested it and yes I was low, but at the time pregnancy was a possibility, so didn't want to go messing with supplements. You're right, I need to re-visit this. I got vitamins with probiotics and I'd been looking in to making some nice healthy bacteria - I've played with yoghurt before. Last…

Not most awesome NSV, but todays and it made me laugh. Walking home from gym, all stinky and still in gym gear a couple of 10 year olds passed me on their bikes. One made eye contact and thought damn, what c$@P was he going to shout out. 'my friend fancies you!' I chuckled figuring it was far better that some derogatory…

I've never taken any medication for PCOS - it wasn't put to me as an option. In fact I only really found out in passing that I had PCOS. I'd gone for tests to check if there was anything sinister and it was mentioned in passing a year or so later.

Hang on a second, deep breath, slow down a little. It sounds like you've jumped in to this and are expecting amazing results. Things just might need to take a bit longer. I'm afraid that you will burn out, only reason I'm saying slow down a bit. This will work out, you just may need to tweek things a bit. I was told I have…

Just had a look at their web site, out of nosiness....servings per container - about 2!!. But 1 serving is 200 gm, weigh the whole pie and work out the cal from that. You're right though, terrible packaging. You really don't know what you're getting.

Depends on you and your triggers. I eat when stressed. However, once I start eating sugary foods, that's it, game over. So for me, I've given up processed foods. I last binged about 2 months ago, but was away from home helping family deal with life threatening emergency - so extenuating circumstances and I'm not beating…

Okay - I'm Irish, but I think most of these are available out your side of the Irish sea. Lidl 81% dark choc (or maybe it's 85%) - Think it's , JD Gross - the highest % I can find. lindt 85 or 90% dark choc (both good) - these have weaned me off cadbury's/etc... I oddly enough don't really like green and blacks dark choc -…

We all have good days / bad days...but if you've a re-current problem, think about yesterday, just yesterday and try and figure out where things went belly up. I found we always have choc in work. If I have one, well with in my allowance, then I had more and more. It set off a sugar demon in me. So i worked on that…

Growing up, generally good eating habits were had at home. Except my mother, I thought all female adults didn't get to eat properly. Mum survived on salad with oil / sugar on top, coffee + choc covered digestive biscuits. I'm pretty sure she had an eating disorder at some stage. But we were fed what was thought to be…

Someone else suggested moneysavingexpert.co.uk forums - I can strongly recommend the old style board - it's local to you so the deals/shops mentioned will be relevant. You are relatively time rich money poor with being at home. You don't want to be stuck in the kitchen, but having something simmering or cooking away is not…

What a good idea! I hadn't thought of doing one. I've tried before. I got caught out - newbie mistake. I had chicken Satay about 15 days in ....just not registering peanuts aren't paleo until after I ate it. I think for the month, 100% of food needs to be home made for me, that will help my bank balance too :)

Female, 39, still about 30lb over weight. Resting heart rate ~60, drops as low as mid 40's on waking. Goes up to 170+ when exercising. Been low for some years (don't know before that). I've borderline hypothyroidism. When it gets really slow, high 40's during the day, I know I probably need a bit of thyroixine for a couple…

Count me in! I'm interested in setting myself very clear objectives on a weekly basis. This should help me. - Jen

To be fit and healthy - work out 3 times a week, with 2 lifting sessions a week + what ever else I want. - eat mainly non/minimally processed foods, 80% + of calories - Get body fat below 25% as measured by my trainer with calipers, currently ~32% - Get cholesterol checked and within normal ranges To get apartment / filing…

Very difficult not knowing her. But for example, I am not strict and would happily enjoy some locally produced cheese, or some soy free choc, I'll happily eat a nice relish (not on a daily basis, but lovely as a present). I don't get why they wouldn't appreciate some really good choc? I really try not to eat cheap/milk…

Hmm.... I never cared. as it happens I'm pretty short - 5'1, so they really need to be short for them be shorter than me. As it happens, my husband is quite a bit taller than me. Never would consider some one short/tall/fat/thin/etc.. to be creepy. Creepy, in my opinion, is more a personality thing. - Someone who hoovers,…

Eggs - I will only eat them if the egg white and egg yolk are mixed before cooking: omelette/scrambled eggs are good - fried eggs/boiled eggs - Bad. I can't explain why, I like neither the egg white nor yolk, don't like the taste or texture of either. But love them when combined before cooking. Soup spoon - I hate eating…

Really 30 lb in 1 month? I know that I would never achieve that, nor would I be aiming for it. I would get very frustrated if (when) I didn't make it. If I'm down by 2-3 lb in the next month I'd be delighted, hell, if I'm not up with Chrismas inbetween I'll be pleased. If I'm down by anything more than the 3lb I'll be…

Lindt 85 or 90%. Even 70% I can over eat, but not 85%+. I far prefer Lindt over say Green and blacks. I've tried one or two others brands, but can't always get them locally. 115cal for 2 squares, 9gm fat, total carbs 7.5gm, sugars 2.5gm. 2 squares with a cup of coffee - happy days.…

Well done, you're over half way to your goal, so clearly have some idea what to do. I agree with previous posters, a bit more protein, particularly early in the day. Someone suggested left overs to me for breakfast. This has been a life saver for me - left over chilli for lunch or breakfast. I aim to get protein + veg in…

Hi Siobhan, Feel free to add me. I'm down 50, about 30 to go, maybe more/less - depending how I feel / body composition. Jen

Best of luck - I've cut back on weighing myself. Does it help? I don't know. But I'm motivated to have improvements before I next meet my trainer. That will always be my aim! Continuous improvement.

Sounds like your all cleared for it. Have a ball and enjoy every minute of it. Make sure to get a photo of yourself with your number on it / finishers medal. You'll look back so fondly on your first 5Km. Have a great time (was going to say good luck, but I don't think you need it!)

Keep training, if you need to move over to the side walk, do it, no problems. BUT....don't push yourself so you get injured. find out if there is anything you can do to help your tendenitis? Any mobility work ( I've a lot of time for Kelly Starretts work,…

We Irish used to get in to trouble saying we were only here for the craic (fun), we were just having some craic, sure it's only a bit of craic. According to Wikipedia (so must be true), it is actually a word we took from the English. But it sounds very much like a narcotic, and used to get some odd looks when using the…

It's not just calories but mobility that would concern me. I'm trying to wean myself off my PC at home and trying to get some stretches. I also try and get a walk in at lunch time. If I need to talk to someone in work, I get up off my butt and walk over to them instead of email or phone. If you're early in the morning, get…
