High sugar foods - I get a headache. Not necessarily every time, but often enough to generally have put me off it. I'm not talking about an apple, but a desert/sweets/etc... even at moderate excess, e.g. a desert after dinner, is enough for me. processed wheat products make me fart too....but no real discomfort. However…

So you want to look powerful and strong, and you're current weight/max weight is 120?? So you're really not looking to lose weight you are looking to build muscle and lose a bit of fat. 1200 won't be enough, and you need to lift heavy stuff. If you were hungry, not eating for emotional/other reasons, it's your body telling…

After my trainer took my latest caliper measurements + weight, went wow, you must actually be eating and doing what I told you to - I thought everyone would that pays someone to help train them would, apparently not. I'm the class swot :blushing:

It was suggested to me that I looked shorter this week. I get what they were saying, I've clearly always been a bit of a shortie, but with some of the weight gone, I'm actually starting to look a bit petit.

I don't like eggs when they are cooked with the egg whites and yolks separated. That is, I don't like boiled eggs/fried/poached eggs... However, I love omelets and scrambled eggs. Just something to try.

Welldone!! That's fantastic. I did my first recently and felt proud as punch crossing the line. It's a great feeling of acomplishment.

I'm moderately low carb also, I aim to keep it under 100. Feel free to have a nosey at my diary, I log most days.

Left over dinner works great for me - chilli/curry/stew - I focus on making sure I'm getting protein and some healthy fat and a good portion of veggies. But failing that and I find myself in work minus my breakfast - our canteen serves greek youghurt/pumpkin seeds and maybe some fruit.

Good for you. This is the motivation I need to take it up myself! Welldone

I don't have a theme song as such, but one of the spinning instructors in my Gym, that does the class at 7am, looks just like iceman from Top Gun, every time I see him there, I'm huming the theme tune to top gun for the morning. Sets me in for going in the gym in that weird way.

spinach and 90% dark lindt chocolate. Spinach for quick daily salads and the dark stuff to keep me off the sweet stuff. This is the best I've found locally.

yes....he supports any self improvement. He loved me at my previous weight, and I've asked if my butt gets smaller will he still love it and yeup, it cause it's mine. However, 40+ pounds down and he says he can't actually see any changes in me. I'm down at least 2 sizes, but nope. I'm doing it for my health, end of. I did…

Some people are better with cold turkey - but I'm of the cut it back and keep cutting it back as it's the one I can stick to. If you are good at cold turkey, then the whole 30 I'm sure will be super. I prefer to make small changes. When I started I found that I needed dark choc to keep me on the straight and narrow. This…

My excuses: I'm tired, don't like the gym at this time as it's busy, don't like running outside as it's too cold/hot/wet/dry, I'm hungry, I'm full.....Over the years, I've used them all. I've been consistent in working out the last 3 months, and baring a month with bad dose I've been consistent the last 6 months. I love it…

If you want to reduce your sugar I wouldn't drink juice/flavoured waters. Eat the whole fruit at least with the sugar you are getting the fiber at the same time. Drink water or herbal teas, or just tea/coffee in moderation. I would avoid eating low fat flavoured yogurt - this tends to be high in sugar. Try greek or natural…

Went out for cycle with OH. Last year he left me in the dust going up the hills, this time it was me shooting ahead. Granted it was a combination of me being a lot fitter than last year and him being less fit. Felt great, only because I was afraid after all my work that he'd still end up leaving me behind. Now cycles are…

Have you looked at the training schedules on the dublin city marathon web page? http://dublinmarathon.ie/training.php There is a different suggested schedule depending on what time you think you'd be up for. By the way, we're relative neighbours. I've been in dream land considering a marathon, but for next year. I'm only…

Count me in. I would like to be able to wear a dress from Coast in size 14. This probably means losing 10 - 15 pounds, but depends on where the weight goes from and the ratio of fat/muscle lost. I've gone down a size in the last 8-10 weeks, so very possible....but I'm getting married so afraid nights out with hamper me.

Feel free to look at mine - ignore targets. I'm aiming for ~1500 calories, 50 to 100 gm of carbs, ~100gm protein and lots of fat. I'm not saying I get it right all, or even any of the time. But have a goo if you're interested. I've found cutting back on carbs means sugar is automatically lower, I find I've less cravings.…

I'm a bit taller 5' 1, but I don't think height really has anything to do with it. Before Christmas I was running 3 times a week and going to ww. I was losing, but didn't feel great. Feb signed up to a personal trainer, he suggested I give up grains, which I did. In fact I've cut back on my carbs a lot - I get most of them…

With all that running are you drinking more? I find I'm not hungry after a run. But I do often confuse thirst with hunger - so first thing is to grab a drink, coffee/water/herbal tea for me and then re-evaluate.

- Samsung 10km night run - my first 10km on 28th April - RMHC Annual Cycle 20th April 2013 50km Was supposed to be doing the connemara challenge on May 11th, 12km run/walk, 17km bike, 2km kayak. But I've had to bail on it, :( Definitely doing it next year! I went our running this evening, which I wouldn't have done if it…

When I get home. I started with paper, but everything else I do is electronic, so now this is too. I sometimes will write notes on my phone in the gym incase I forgot - these get transfered to my standard log when I get home.

Snap, I'm July also. Went to try on dresses today and I'm down a size - yay! Just need to decide how late I can leave it before buying the dress. I'll need to take it up as I'm a shortie! Decisions, decision! Good luck.

Why avoid snacking? Why not plan on healthy snacks? I'm far from perfect, but I keep nuts/70+ dark choc / etc.. in the house and factor them in to my eating. When bringing packed lunch to work, I pack snacks too. I don't have to eat them, but nearly always do. If I don't then I'm at the mercy of what the canteen has to…
