When I'm not programming or excersizing I write poetry.

My girlfriend is very tiny. At 5'2" she calls herself fat at 105lbs. I know, I have already warned her not to EVER say that outloud in public. Frankly I think she looks great and have told her as such. She wants to be 100lbs. She was 97lbs. when I met her, but didn't look sickly at all, she just looks really young (she's…

I honestly don't think that burgers are THAT bad. Fries are virtually useless calories, so if you want the burger, have the burger. Log it, count it, and adjust. Note: One McDonald's hamburger is 250 calories. Splurge for the cheeseburger and it is 300 calories. Most microwave meals are more than that! Just make sure you…

As long as you are not working the same muscle groups 2 days in a row you should be fine. Remember: The body builds muscle using the food you ate while you are resting. Working out is just your way of telling your body it needs to build those muscles. Cheers!

It was my plan all along! I am definitely in! 223.5 (although I should be 220 by the start of the month).

I'm not hot, but my girlfriend says I'm sweet! (most of the time) ; )

You know, the sad thing is that I did a quick calculation and realized that if I had just stuck to 2 of my high cardio 45minute workouts each week for the last two and a half years and I would have been 52lbs. lighter. I look forward to hitting my goal weight and cutting my excersize back to a reasonable maintenance amount…

I have found that the hardest thing with working out is finding a consistent schedule. Over the past year I had several spurts where I went to the gym for a few days here and there, but it always got interupted by life. Now, with my morning workouts, I maintain my same work schedule and all I needed to do was to go to bed…

My girlfriend and I met on the dancefloor. It took a month of chatting online afterwards before we realized that we should be a couple (no quicky hookups). Two and a half years later we share a home and are planning to get married (I want to be 170lbs. on my wedding day). Best of luck to you. Remember, as long as you meet…

I weigh myself every night before I go to bed and every morning. I find it helpful to know how much my weight drops at night, which I use as an indicator as to how well my metabolism is working for me (just an idea, I'm no expert). The flucutations which occur are normal. As long as you don't let yourself get discouraged…

I don't know how to explain this, but "Most" guys do not act that way. You could say "Many" guys act that way, but you specifically stated a majority. Perhaps if you had been a little more careful with your wording less men would have been offended. By the way, with all of the trouble that you have gone to in this post, I…

You seem pretty quick to be calling people *kitten*. You also don't appear to have any interest in considering yourself part of the equation. I guess that makes me an *kitten* too. Best of luck with your life, such as it is.

Every Friday night I enjoy a bottle of red wine with my Sweetie while watching a movie at home.

Thank you!!! I have been suffering from the chronic cough for the last couple of years now and I will ask my doctor for a referal to an allergy specialist when I seem him this month. Interesting Note: Although I cough at all times of day, I have no problem going 45minutes on an elliptical trainer at the gym with no cough…

Okay, I have to add one little comment to this. The question of muscle weighing more than fat usually comes in because people trying to lose weight are afraid of gaining heavy muscle and being derailed by the results on the scale. I have to say that the effort required to build 1 pound of muscle will burn far more than 1…

The results on show are definitely unrealistic for the rest of us with real lives (be it jobs or children to take care of), but I still find it inspiring and a good reminder of what is possible with time and effort.

This is going to sound really gross, however, my only purpose for going to the gym is to get into shape. I get up in the morning, eat breakfast, put on my baseball cap to hide my bird's nest hair and go directly to the gym. Once I am done my workout I shower and go to work. I garauntee that there is nothing sexy about how…
