Yay Disney fans!! :) I take half of what we use for the marinade. And for pre made marinades, they are usually low calorie, but olive oil is quite high, so make sure you are taking that into account. If you're marinading multiple meals at a time, jsut take half of the total, and then divide it by however many servings are…

My husband and I are going to be starting a family in the next year or so, and I refuse to have a high risk pregnancy and endanger our children because I'm fat and lazy. I want both of us to be around a long, long time, and at the rate we were going, that wasn't gonna happen!

I think studies have shown that we drink almost half of our calories, as a society. We just don't think of drinks as "food" and so we don't pay attention. Its sad how many calories we can drink with our meals if we're not paying attention!! Haven't done the Sonic trip yet, but I'm lookind forward to a Diet Cherry Limeade!!

I think we need to have those caves every once in awhile. #1, to get it out of our system, and #2, so we remeber how nasty we feel when we eat crap food. Back on the wagon tomorrow! :)

Skinny Cow fudge bars. The help with both cravings. 100 calories for a huge bar. Plus I drink breakfast shakes in the morning, those are vanilla and chocolate, so I imagine that helps with my chocolate craving. If it gets bad, have some. Just log it.

Will you lose weight without exercise? Of course you will. Can you still be healthy without exercise? Eh...not as much. Your heart and lungs need to be worked out, they need to be stronger. So while you may be lighter, you may not be all that much healthier. And know, the more muscle you have, the more calories your body…

I wouldn't...because by those standards then cheat days should subtract calories for the next day. Your body doesn't work like a bank, it needs a certain number of calories every day. If you DO choose to do that, I would not recommend saving them up though. "If I save 100 calories everyday, I can have a big mac on Friday!"…

Give my workouts a purpose instead of being a chore. Sign up and train for SOMETHING.

Your fats, carbs and proteins adjust depending on your calories for the day. So if you exercise and it adds those calories, your macronutirents are also going to change. I would try and stay close to your carb limit. 150ish below is probably ok. I'm glad you're not doing an Atkins style diet, don't be afraid of carbs, they…

MFP wants you to eat your exercise calories. This is something, in GENERAL, I disagree with. If I burn 300 calories, I'm not going to eat those back. That being said, you burn 500 calories in cardio, then probably another 600-800 with your trainer, depending on how you long are with him/her. So, I would probably eat SOME…

Per WDW Q. Can nutritional information be provided for menu items? A. Unfortunately we do not have, and therefore we cannot provide you with accurate or reliable nutritional information, and we would not want you or any other Guest to rely on what could only be our "best guess." We can however, attempt to work within your…

Liesurely is the key. It is certainy ok to MOVE, but don't get your HR up. So a relaxig swim, an easy walk around the block. But nothing intense. And if you start to feel exhausted, then you're doing too much!

Here is the thing about HRM. They record the calories burned just from living as well, not from exercising. That is why I think it is dishonest to wear your HRM all day, and record those calories, because MFP has already estimated those calories. When I first got mine in the mail, I burned 22 calories in 5 minutes of…

I agree with the not track. Just dont be bummed when you get home and have gained, or not lost. The hubby and I are going away for our anniversarym abd have made the agreement that we will not track that weekend, and skip weighing,m so we have another week to get ourselves back on track. Same will be the case enxt May when…

This is from the article you quoted below, it goes against the advice you were giving above. Just FYI. For example, says Vasey, drinks like coffee, black tea and cocoa are very high in purines, toxins that must be diluted in large quantities of water to be flushed from the body. “The consumption of these drinks might bring…

Nope. Caffeine is a diuretic, so it pushes out just as much water as you drink. So if anything, it decreases your hydration level. Don't count it. Doesn't matter what you do or don't add to it. Once it is no longer water...it is no longer water.

A super easy, not always incredibly accurate, measurement for what your max HR should be is 220-age, so you are 32, your max HR should be 188. Now, that being said, the HRM shows your highest ever. That does NOT mean you were at 199 for a minute, it means that for a few beats, your heart was going that fast. I would worry…

Part of it is because you're sweating so much. So when you do this, make SURE you're drinking TONS of water before and after (and during!). I've done a quick search and it appears your calorie estimate is correct, about 630 cals an hour., obviously depending on wieght. Maybe strap on a HRM and see what it says, if you have…

I have a health o meter as well from Wal Mart, it was $35. Does 4 profiles, so my hubby and I each have our own, it remembers us, and our goal wieghts, it tells me how much I've lost since last week, my BF%, Bone Density, Hydrqation level (though I'm skeptical about all fo those, so many other factors are at play there). I…

No. Caffeine is an appetite suppressant. And next to water, coffee is one of the best things you can be drinking. Its all the crap people put in it that makes it bad. So coffee, as in grounds and water, is fine. Starbucks, creamers, sugars, etc, that is what makes coffee bad. It is also a diuretic though, so make sure, if…

Except after 90 degrees of bend, the muscles become inefficient, starting to enter their most lengthened state, therefore weakest (since muscles are strongest at mid length, and not completely shortened or lengthened), so the stress is then placed entirely on the ligaments in the knee. I would like to read the studies you…

As a minor (or close to it), I would then recommend to not do HEAVY lifting. Lift to where you can complete 3 sets of 10, or somewhere around there. Be VERY careful if you are doing squats, make sure you are watchign yourself in a mirror, you stay above a 90 degree bend with your knees, and your knees stay behind your…

I would say an hour of actual lifting should be good. Plus stretching (PLEASE stretch!), and then if you add cardio, you'll probably be at the gym 2 hours...

It is amazing how much aof a revolution it is, isn't it? I have no less than 4 friends who have joined since my posts started appearing on facebook! Good job, keep it up!!

Depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If you are trying to build bulk, I would say dedicate one day to two muscle groups. Chest/Tri day, Back/Bi day, Legs/Abs (which is really like 3 groups...). I would say if you can, work out 6 days a week, so you hit each pair twice a week. Don't eat a TON, unless, again, youre…

PP is right, it depends on the total amount lost, also how long you've been overweight, if you are exercising and lifting weights, your hydration level, etc etc etc. To avoid I would drink your 8+ glasses of water a day, do resistance training, make sure your skin is hydrated (lotion), and also make sure your loss is slow…
