Nothing. I don't trust the exercise calories on MFP so I always aim for under by at least half my exercise cals. In my diary 90 under counts as over.

He wouldn't be grumpy if you followed the hypothetically deleted suggestions.

Hi ShanRaeC, Thanks for having the courage to post this! There have really been a lot of good responses. Hopefully they provide some help to you (and each other) in your struggle with depression. I don't have depression necessarily, but I am transgender, not yet transitioned full-time. I experience depressive symptoms…

My earliest memory is dressing in my mom's clothes and getting caught, maybe 4 or 5 yrs old. It took me nearly 30 years to get over the shame and guilt and accept my true self.

I saw a card with a person on a scale last week. The scale said "Cheat", the person said "Liar".

Amen to that. I've given up on Catholic hypocrisy and rules. I've been burned to many times by those who treat me like crap in the name of the "God of Love".
-
I do the same, checking certain new items that I eat, but only at home. I assume that what I eat is always somewhat variable, as is what I burn through exercise, so I like to give myself a calorie cushion. When in doubt I overestimate calories.

Black and plenty of it! Ocassionally I splurge on a skim latte.

This is my favorite reply. Good luck!

To look good and be healthy when I start hormones for gender transition.

Yep, it's known to not be reliable for really muscular people. When I look like the one on the left I'll stop looking at BMI.

I don't care about exact numbers. Once I figured out the bias in my normal exercises I just started mentally adjusting. Good enough for me, especially since a lot of my food calorie inputs are estimates too.
-
I don't trust the estimates in MFP once my calories expended start to get over 500. I make it a point to not eat back all those calories.

I used to work on skin cancer drugs. There's a name for people who tan --> Customers.

When I find myself in that situation I tend to just take smaller portions. If you want to make it look like you took or ate more you could try some little tricks like spreading it out on the plate rather than heaping it, spacing thingson your plate a bit, and leaving a little behind. Remember, you can always make up for…

Someone beat me to it! I was going to say that someone probably sneezed on them. Was it as tasty as it sounds? You know someone else was hoping they could just take half or a quarter but was to chicken to cut it. You did them a favor!

red velvet with cream cheese frosting...those are so digusting. Really they are. I can't believe you'd think of eating that! :noway:
-
That's me. I don't beat myself up about the little ups and downs. I also find my weight tends to lag a day behind my good/bad workout/calorie days.
-
Couldn't tell you. I can't remember the last time I went without coffee so I have nothing to compare to.

I was wondering how far down I would have to scroll to find Keanu!

It's totally fine with me to do away with sir or miss. Although, like I said, getting called 'Miss' totally makes my day. But with me you'd never be confused about which gender I'm going for. I don't do androgynous. Not that I have a problem with others looking androgynous, but it just doesn't fit me.

You always weigh less on your birthday if you hold the balloons on the scale. :flowerforyou:

From a pre-op perspective, I don't know that I am offended if someone uses the wrong pronoun accidentally, just disappointed. But I know the limitations of how well I pass. When people use the right pronoun I hear it every time and it can brighten the darkest night. Just do your best, be respectful, apologize simply and…

Thanks for remembering us, ladies!

Nobody has mentioned it yet, but they did notice I've been rather crabby. I don't know what they mean! Who you callin' crabby?

Listening to "Wait Wait Don't Tell Me" on NPR right now. I love how they tell us the current score during breaks in the show. If we cared would we be listening to NPR right now?
