We started with Monday as our official weigh-in day but have switched to Friday as soon as we get up. Hubby prefers Friday as it gives him plenty of time then to work off any over-indulgences of the weekend

I'm like oOmazOo. I should be 140lbs but my friend who is the same height as me was moaning yesterday about how she's now 154lbs (11 stones) as she used to be 9 stones before she met her Hubby2be. I think she looks good as she is so it's made me think that 160lbs would maybe a better goal. I suppose I'll know when I get…

It's me from last summer but at the same weight as I was when I changed my lifestyle at the beginning of the year. I chose a photo where I felt happy

Hi all! Haven't been very motivated to exercise this week, only done a few lunchtime walks but I've lost another 3lbs this week :)
-
240lbs this morning, so impressed! That's a 5lbs loss :)

I really dislike a lot of vegetables - carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, peas etc. I can eat carrots if they're chopped up really small and mixed into something like curry so I can't taste them.

I will be 40 next summer, as will Hubby. We would love to go on a cruise for our fortieth birthdays so I want to lose weight and get trim so I can feel fab in bikinis and summery dresses on board. Only !00 or so pounds to go, eek!

I love using the Wii Fit for exercising, still umming and arring about getting Zumba for it, though lots of my friends say it's fun. Keep up the good work xxx

Watched it last night with Hubby, first time he's actually watched it. Afterwards he spent an hour on the Wii Fit exercising, it obviously motivated him

Hi! I have over 100lbs to lose. Anyone is welcome to add me as a friend xx

Maybe try diluting drinks with diet soda such as wine to make a spritzer or beer to make a shandy. You could also try alternating alcoholic drink then diet soda then alcoholic drink. I'm sure there will be some alcohol free beers you can try, my Hubby likes Becks alcohol free beer. It may take getting used to but…

don't think I'm gonna be a winner this time round :embarassed:

For lunch I often dry fry some sliced mushrooms and onions, then add the cous cous and water/stock and then when it's ready I throw in some chopped boiled gammon. If you like pasta, I dry fry some sliced/chopped mushrooms, add some Quorn mince or quorn chicken pieces and a carton of passata. Usually makes enough for 4…

When I cook roasties, I par boil the spuds for about 10 mins, one spray of 1-cal oil in a roasting tray, add spuds then one or two more spray on the spuds and roast them. If you give the spuds a bit of a bash about in the pan and rough them up before you add them to the tray, they go really crispy.

Don't worry about it, we all have a blow out and spending timeenjoying being with your friends/guests is more important than spending the time calorie counting and you shouldn't feel guilty about it. If you have put on a few pounds - so what? It's not the end of world! Just get back into a healthy eating routine and up the…

I usually notice a weight gain the week before my period so maybe it is hormonal or water retention. Did you eat/exercise differently that third week when your weight increased. I've "only" lost 8lb in 6 weeks but I've noticed a massive difference in my body shape and my clothes definitely feel baggier. Try tracking your…

If you want to go light blonde, definitely get it done at a salon. Have you thought about going darker, maybe light brown or red? These are definitely easier to maintain yourself at home. I'd get the first colour done at a salon still.

I've given up alcohol (well Hubby has and thought it would just be mean to drink in front of him) and sliced bread, in the hope I'll find soe ore interesting breakfast and lunch ideas instead of toast or butties.

Personally, I wouldn't feel satisfied having fruit juice for two meals as I need to feel like I've eaten a meal. Have you thought about having the fruit in a fruit salad or home made veg soup or even a simple undressed salad? I'm sure you could keep to a low calorie diet by doing this but maybe get more nutrients and fibre…

I haven't done a lot of exercise this week, just a few lunchtime walks and had tea out with a friend last night. £3.89 carvery, stuffed myself with turkey, gammon roast and mashed potatoes, yum! Only had a couple of diet pepsis and no pudding :) Been quite good the rest of the week though I have found myself suffering from…

Hi! I've just joined the group but I'm eating out tonight, a chance to finally catch up with an old friend. Last night I made a satay sauce using 1tbsp brown sugar, 1tbsp soy sauce (reduced salt) 2tbsps lime juice and 15g of reduced fat peanut butter. Made plenty for 2 portions and calculated as 67cals per portion. I stir…

If someone has an open diary, I will have a look. If They have a particular meal that looks good or they've burned off calories through exercise, I'll comment to say that. I don't comment on all diary logged postings. I agree with Tara4boys that I don't like how the post states "under calories" or not, that makes me feel I…

It may be your body getting used to a different eating plan. When I cut out caffeine from my diet, I had really bad headaches for a week or so. They say that sometimes what we think are hunger pangs is actually due to thirst, try drinking hot water with a slice of lemon, a friend swears by this for making her feel full. If…

I'd love to have long, elegant fingers - mine are short and stubby.

Hi all! Had a bit of a naughty weekend, food wise. We went out for a meal on Friday night and I chose the options I really wanted rather than going for slightly healthier options. Sometimes though I wonder if the healthy option really is as healthy as it would be if I made it at home, know what I mean? We both had a bottle…

craving a bag of crisps then buying a multipack to save money then being tempted by the other 5 bags. similarly craving a biscuit but buying a packet which I then scoff. eating because I'm bored, especially at work. opening a botle wine to just have a glass with meal, I never just have one glass, I should buy mini bottles.…

We're both trying to lose weight and have our own personal competition, biggest loser by June wins a cash reward from the other. (Even though we both know we'll end up spending the prize on something for both of us like a weekend away) According to MFP we should have a similar calorie intake so I do all the logging on my…

Think I'm going to give up bread for Lent. It's a real downfall of mine. It will motivate me to be a bit more creative than having toast for breakfast and sandwiches for lunch. Edit - Hubby wants to give up alcohol so going to give that up too.
