If I weigh myself on my Wii Fit and am dissatisfied with my weight, I exercise immediately (since I already have the board out and the game running), because I know doing NOTHING won't make me any more satisfied. If I weigh myself and find that I'm GREATLY satisfied, I also exercise, because I want to keep the momentum…

Man, I wish I had a dollar for every day I go over my goal. Don't stress it. Really, don't. When I need reassurance that I didn't screw up real badly, I go to my reports and view my net calories for the past week, do a little math, and figure out what my daily average calorie intake has been. If it's within 100 or so over…

Bump. I was just going to ask about this for adding a dark beer to my potato soup.

My granny-in-law made no-bake cookies a few days ago (she's does it twice a week at 2am, always), and it can be hard to avoid. However, I expected I would be giving in to them today, so I added them to my diary ahead of time, as well as everything else I thought I would eat. Had to change some things when it turned out…

You ever hear the adage, "When Mom's on a diet, everyone's on a diet"? I try *not* to epitomize that. My husband is very grateful, because his mother was one of those who put everyone else on a diet when she was on one.

Thank you! That is what I like to see. "Vegetarian" does not always mean "ethical vegetarian". Sometimes it just means "dieting" or "I dunno, I just felt like having complicated standards" (i.e., me).

On a technical level, I suppose it's not, but I'm a fan of one-pot meals and I do most of the cooking for three other meat-eaters, so I try to come as close as I can. On another level, I wonder if it can *legitimately* be considered vegetarian in the same way milk and eggs are - it's not technically meat (but it does come…

OP, I've been on MFP on and off for a few years now. I just made my return this past week after being gone for... look, who even knows? Point is that, my very first day back, I had 2,600 calories. My goal is 1,600. I was furious with myself, and I couldn't believe how easy it was to go over (in my case, WAY over) when I'm…

As few calories as I've been getting since I've been actually paying attention to my food and not mindlessly snacking on fudge and cookies, it wouldn't have made a huge difference to my count whether it was 10 or 30 calories a cup, but that's still good to know, especially if I ever make my roast/roast soup on a…

I try to eat vegetarian, I just cook meat in my dishes to please everyone else at home, haha. Do you think I should add beef stock or beef broth? I don't really know the difference between the two.

Good morning, folks! Today, I'm grateful that my in-laws just brought my husband and I a new bed as an early Christmas present! We've been sleeping on a twin-sized bed for over two years, and it's going to be awesome to finally be able to get a good night's rest because we're not shoving and prodding at each other to make…

That is a really great thing, and certainly something to be grateful for! I don't think we realize it until we're grown, but there are so many things that, if our parents didn't teach us, we have a hard time figuring it out for ourselves. I'm 22, and I'm working very hard to teach myself regular housekeeping habits because…

Why is everyone saying this is a troll thread?

Bump~~~. And also, I wonder if cocoa butter would work for cellulite like it does for... I'm blanking out and can't think of what it's called. The scars women get when they're pregnant, and anyone gets if they build muscle or put on weight too quickly. STRETCH MARKS. That's it.

Bu-bump.

I'm so glad someone said it! I eat at a buffet so rarely that whenever someone does suggest we do, I feel like, "Hell yes, it's been forever and I deserve this." Obviously, don't do anything you would be ashamed of or eat yourself sick, but don't feel guilty about enjoying yourself if buffet dinners are infrequent and…

I buy tenderloins often because I like to cut them up, saute them, and add them to pasta or just serve them as bite-sized pieces... but this post reminds me that I haven't had my Dad's fried chicken in years. The thighs were my favorite pieces. I might ought to call him up and ask if he would do dinner for me soon.

To me, that's a good friend. I really want some Pringles now. I don't have Pringles. This is a problem.

I'll see whether I can do that, but I've tried several times before to edit my start weight, but I've never found a way to do it. Would I have to find my very first weigh-in and edit that? Edit: Never mind, I found it! Thank you very much! Problem solved, we can all go home now.

Yes, I love the graph! xD. It's nice to be able to track progress. I'm still going to use the Wii Fit, I'm just wondering which weight I should be using to weigh-in on MFP.
-
Right, the question is which one - the one that may weigh more accurately, or the one that will count my loss accurately.

Oh, gawwwd, she's so lovely. I want to be her. x_x.

I know this is "for the guys", but I totally want to play. 1. Olivia Wilde Game over, I'm going home now.

I'll probably be poked at for being an idiot, but... one of my first weeks here on MFP, I was just innocently logging my foods... I had no idea eggs (including yolks) were so high in cholesterol. I wasn't really alarmed, but I was surprised.

Oh, you ladies are *too* odd. I'm incredibly fortunate that I don't usually cramp after the first day - won't even cramp the first day if I take two or three ibuprofen before I even start. The only reason I hate exercising during the start of my cycle is because I feel nastaaay.

I've only been engaged since Tuesday, and we haven't really set a date yet 'cause I need to start school first and I want to wait until after I'm finished before getting married, but if all goes according to plan, we very well may marry on November 30, which will also be our sixth anniversary (someone up there is doing…

I don't think there's anything wrong with working out every day, but if you're looking to build muscle, you need to allow yourself time to recover. When you work out hard enough, you're literally tearing muscles (which is okay, despite how violent it sounds). Muscles build when protein fills in and scars over those tears.…

Everyone definitely does cheating differently, if they cheat, but I think it's really important to do, especially when dieting, to reward your body, basically. For instance, I'm a pescatarian and the only meat I eat regularly is fish, but on my cheat days, I allow myself to have other meats like beef or chicken. Ideally, I…

Hi, Candice! Our situations are a bit different, as I'm 20 with no kids, but I gained my weight from work anxiety. Welcome~! Anyway, I never check out the introductions forum, but you and I are about the same weight and have the same goals, so I thought I'd say hi. ^u^. Oh, and we're apparently the same height, too!

Ahahaha! I have to actually stick to a sort of regimen to make sure I get enough water. If I drink a big glass first thing in the morning, then have breakfast, wait a while, and have another big glass, then for the rest of the day, I'll sip on water and still get as much as I need to have.
