I prefer protein shakes, but I always have them on hand, along with some nuts and dried fruit, for days when I'm running constantly with the kids and I know a proper meal is likely out of the question :)

Multivitamin, Vitamin C, Fish Oil - 2 capsules 3 times daily, Calcium, Flaxseed Oil, fiber powder

Never worry about the sugar in natural foods, like fruits! We know we're not doing well if we eat a donut!!!! I deleted the sugar tracker from my diary a long time ago :)

Great progress!!! You look great:) Keep it up!

It's the most common confusion with the book. You actually do Stage 1 workouts on 8 different days for a total of 16 days. You start with 2 sets of 15 reps of each exercise but by the end of the stage you are lifting heavier and doing 3 sets of 8 reps. So, Stage 1, workout A1 would be: Squats - 2 sets of 15 reps Pushups -…

I drink it all day long - 5-6 bottles at the gym alone!

As to the comments yesterday - I always wear gloves! DrG - amazing! I get my labs rechecked in September. Last time they were done my LDL and HDL were both at the high end of normal, so hoping I made some progress on them, too! My diary is public and posts in my newsfeed. I'm more critical of myself and my shortcomings…

I build ice cream into my daily values .... and pizza .... and sushi ... those are my higher carb days :) Enjoy! No one ever said we had to completely forget what chocolate cake tasted like just because we want to be healthier!

My gloved definitely help me lift more weight and keep my hands from getting sore/calloused. $8 at Wal-Mart.

I'm almost 42 with 3 kiddos - ages 6, 8 and 12. I'm about halfway to goal. Feel free to add me :)

mmmmm.....bacon.... OP - I agree. Spiros - I have the same fear about my progress pics - I know I have more to lose, but even when I get to goal weight and am as toned as I can get without roids, I will not have a perfect body like I did in my 20s. It already makes me insecure enough!

EM - congrats on the wedding! Beeps & jennie- you can do it! Memorial day set me back. I woke up Tuesday and my fingers were so swollen with water weight it wasn't even funny. Haven't gotten near the scale since! I'm on vacation starting 7/9. We're taking the kiddos primitive camping at Mammoth Cave Park (Kentucky) for an…

After 3 kids, 2 c-sections and alot of weight gain/loss, I've got the same issue. I've looked into a tummy tuck and am saving to have one next year! It gets better on the sides, but the overhang and loose skin are with us forever without surgical intervention.

AWESOME! You are truly an inspiration!

OH, hell. That's suffocating. I deleted every one of my dysfunctional, psycho in-laws from my FB page - then blocked them. Now I never have to speak to them :) I buy the kids presents, and visit with DH's 85 year old grandmother, but never go near the rest of the clan!

Congratulations! You look awesome :)

HI! I"m 41 with 3 kids - ages 12, 8 and 6. I"m 5'4" and want to lose about 20lbs (I'm down 30, 26 since starting MFP). Anyone on here is free to add me! Would LOVE more friends in this age group!

Mamma always told me if I don't have anything nice to say, I shouldn't say anything at all. Thanks for the NSV - I hit 165 posts!

Have to tell you all, I'm not getting the weight loss I wanted - total goal of 10lbs and I've only lost 2.8 so far. BUT I already hit one goal - I'm back in a size 8!!!!

I eat wraps/tortillas alot! I like to stuff mine full of turkey, sprouts, spinach and avacado or dijon mustard! I also make easy chicken and cheese quesadillas with them using leftover chicken and reduced fat shredded cheddar. Chop up your chicken and place a wrap on a skillet over medium heat. Place 1/2 the cheese on 1/2…

It's definitely a slower process. I'm building up muscle to burn my fat instead! And I've never been a cardio fan, but now I'm running and busting but on the elliptical 3 days a week plus walking at least 4 days a week on my lunch hour!.

It sounds like you are definitely starting in the right direction, and major kudos to you for wanting this lifestyle change! Some things to do: measure all your food and log it into MFP. Walk. You might only be able to go to the end of the block and back at first, but you'll start to see small improvements. Any kind of…
