Just tell her she's beautiful!!!! It's what every woman needs to hear on a daily basis!

Dosidos dipped in milk are worse than crack for me - I say I'll have 2, and eat the entire sleeve before I know it. I buy a couple boxes from every girl scout in my neighborhood. Now I've got a dozen boxes at home. But, a husband and 2 boys who are human garbage disposals should take care of the temptation pretty quickly.

As others have said, an extremely low carb diet drops weight, but is hard to maintain. As soon as you add carbs back in, you gain - I know from personal experience! It's also usually high in fat unless you are switching to a vegetarian lifestyle. Moderating your carbs and the type of carbs you eat is more beneficial and…

Add me too! I'm a mom of 3, ages 11, 7 and 6. Since the last one, I've really struggled with yo-yo weight loss (50-60lbs up and down!) thinking I can't find time for me. I've finally found a happy medium that doesn't make me feel like I'm letting my family down - or me. But daily inspiration and support are needed for…

Dang! There's some contentious arguments going on here! Do what''s best for you, but make those calories healthy ones. I don't "eat back" my calories. Instead, I bumped my calories up from 1200 to 1500. I work out late (7pm or later) after work, then eat dinner. If I had to eat 1,000 calories before going to bed, I'd have…

I'm 41, with 2 boys and a girl ages 11, 7 and 6. Feel free to add me!

I'm a mom of 2 boys - 11 and 6, and one girl in the middle (poor thing!) - 7. Feel free to add me - I'm fairly new and can use all the buddies I can find!

I joined Curves a few years ago, and lost 60lbs using the Curves Smart with the diet plan. It really worked. I had to stop going to Curves because they changed their hours to close at 7pm and I couldn't get there in time after work. After gaining back half of what I lost, I'm going to a local gym, I'm back on the…

1/2 serving of reduced fat wheat thins OR 1/2 a sliced cucumber with a wedge of skinny cow swiss Kroger carbmaster yogurt - sometimes with a 1/4 cup of lowfat granola 2oz roast beef with 1oz of swiss cheese pistachios (If I manage to hide them good enough from my hubby to actually get some!) low fat cottage cheese Fiber…

Women are terrified to lift weights for fear of "bulking" or gaining weight. Regular weight training along with cardio promotes LEAN muscle mass and a healthier body. Muscle does weigh more than fat, but it is much more effective at burning fat than diet+cardio alone. Muscle burns more fat at rest, and makes your body look…

I do both equally. 3-4 days a week I do 30 minutes of cardio, monitoring my heart rate to stay at least 75% of max, then alternate legs/upper body using a combination of the machines and free weights. Every week I try to add a little more weight. I do core exercises every day I'm at the gym. Friday nights I take advantage…

Running 8 miles burns 800 calories. When you are overweight or have a larger frame, it does require more calories to achieve the same level. If you are going by MFP calories burned, note that they tend to be overinflated.

I'm sticking to a 1500 calorie/day diet - no "eating back" exercise calories. I modified the carbs to less and the protein to more to help build lean muscle and get rid of the belly that's been hanging around since my 3rd child was born 6 years ago. I have 3 meals and 2-3 snacks daily. Breakfast is 300 (eaten within 1/2…

My kindle is my best friend, and Pixel of Ink is my favorite website for finding FREE books! :)

I've taken to having a protein shake for breakfast almost every work day. I just don't have time to fix myself a healthy breakfast when I'm trying to get 3 kids fed and ready for school, plus make myself look presentable for the office. I don't understand why your doctor said you would need to avoid carbs, though, unless…

I've looked at them both and I'm definitely leaning toward buying a HRM. FitBit sounds great, but I like the idea of the calories I burn when I take the stairs instead of the elevator, or walk from the end of the parking lot to Kroger as bonus calories that help surprise me when I weigh in.
