She said 1200 NOT 900. And she definitely didnt say 500 net cals. Good luck with your starvation diet

OH FFS :noway:

No I suppose you don't have to but I highly recommend it. It will be easier for you to reach your nutrient goals, and you will feel better with the appropriate amount of energy. 1200 calories is actually the bare minimum recommended by doctors and that is why you get the little warning if you are under 1200 when you close…

A big congrats to you! I've seen you around the forums a lot and often wondered about your story. Thanks for sharing it. You were beautiful before, and you are beautiful & strong now  I agree with all your points, especially how faster is not always better. I am slowly learning this...I can't wait for the day I am a…

Oh really Kk_140? Is that why you are a member of this new group? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/19662-anorexia Is there a way to report pro-ana groups on here? I find it funny that someone who claims to eat 1200 actually is in a group that admits to starving themselves to lose weight.

Good lord, this again?? :noway: In my area, the "healthy" food would run me about $32.00. That's way more than what the picture says. Now pass me a Big Mac

So you felt the need to make 2 posts in the same day about the same thing? http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1188641-gluten-dairy-sugar Hope you liked your responses to the second one which seems to be wildly popular

IN for the lols

You want her to keep up the starvation diet? Yay for slowly killing herself!!! :noway: Mia this is no way to live, and rapid weight loss by starvation is NOT a success. Expect your post to be removed soon. Find a healthy sensible plan you can stick to like at LEAST 1200 cals a day if not more. I started at the same weight…

No offense lady, but that would be my definition of living in hell. Congrats on the loss, though.

What's up with the Johnny Galecki obsession?? lol

Well outside of lifting weights 3x/week, my only exercise is housework! My husband set up a home gym for us and he taught me how to use it. The only thing I knew how to do was bicep curls before that  I used to do the Wii Fit Plus before we got the weight room. I have 2 kids ages 6 and 13 and I love being a stay at…

Only if you are morbidly obese, which you are not. I would say give it a year and aim for 1/lb a week loss. That way you'll be more likely to keep the weight off and you'll be setting yourself up for a healthy lifestyle vs. just a diet. Set your MFP goals for 1 lb/week loss and eat back most of your exercise cals (at least…

Not only have you taken off the pounds but you've taken off the years! You look so much younger  Congrats!
-
Super! Good for you!! I wish more people would take charge of their health like you have. It's saddening to see those around me be so unhealthy and not even care. High five!! :drinker:

I know. I was referring to the blog in the OP, not you, sorry. (love the gif by the way  )

Guess we're all doomed no matter what we do. *deletes MFP account and crams mouth full of calories* Stupidest thing I've ever read here on MFP. And trust me, I've seen a lot of stupid things here

Me too

It took me 8 months to lose 60 pounds. I started at 290 pounds, 5'7 tall. I exercised 5-6 days a week for 1 hour at a time (cardio and strength training) and ate anywhere between 1700-2200 calories. Honestly, 3 pounds a week is a tall order. It may come off that fast at first, but after a month or so it tapers off…

We're not fat, we're fluffy!

lol No. Just no.

FYI, I agree with the 1600 calorie goal for sedentary. I plugged your numbers into scooby and thats what it came up with for a 20% deficit. Of course if you exercise, you should eat more.
