He obviously does or he wouldn't be (I forget your exact words) upset about it. So we've established you can lose weight with no other exercise besides walking. Are you unable to walk during your breaks at work? You don't think. Which is why I suggested asking. Good for you. Stand your ground. Not sure where your comment…

If I find multiple entries with conflicting calorie amounts, I either check the vendor website (if they have info there), check to see what is displayed on Wolfram Alpha, or choose the higher calorie option in the database.

Oh I know. There are few new threads under the Sun.

This situation doesn't even sound like sabotage. He just sounds pissed off that he's busting his *kitten* and she's jumped off the wagon. OP, as crappy as it sounds I have a feeling he's fed up with your weight. Ask him straight up and see what he says. I'm willing to bet he'd love to get it out there. If I'm right,…

Without knowing his side of the story I'm not going to jump on him, and even if I did he wouldn't hear it. No amount of exercise will make up for poor diet. Track your food and do your thing. I'm sure he's upset because he's working at it and he sees you as having checked out. Ask him to take care of the kids while you…

Try not to use it right after you shower/bathe or work out (sweaty). Since they measure electrical impedance wet skin can change the reading. Hope this helps!

This. Get some dumbbells or a kettlebell and strength train during commercials.

1500 cals x 6 days is 9000 calories a week burned from exercise, so 2.5 pounds or so. You didn't mention your height but I'm guessing 1800 calories of food is a 750 calorie daily deficit, so 1.5 pounds. That accounts for 4 pounds weekly or so. Doesn't sound unusual. If it concerns you perhaps you should eat a bit more…

You losing weight makes them feel bad that they aren't, and they'd like lardy to be the new normal because it's easy. Just keep on doing your thing.

My first 50 pounds was diet only, but my bloodwork numbers didn't start improving until I added cardio.

If that's the rule then peeling an orange counts for me. ;-)

The fact that this information had to be prompted out of you after some people doubted your original statements as sabotage kind of fails to pass the stink test. In any case, you are responsible for what you put in your mouth. Period. Full stop.

Truer words have never been written good sir.

Based on another thread, I'll have to throw out vacuuming and scrubbing walls. It's science!

3000 cals a day seems like a lot, since I'm a 6'4" 400+ male eating 2570 not counting exercise cals. Have you tried dropping your daily calories by 200 a week each week until you start losing again? EDIT: Based on TDEE -20% you should be eating 2599 calories a day using the calculator here.…

I'm a pale skinned white guy who looks like a bear and facepalms most of the time when he reads weight loss advice from people on the Internet.

Generally to establish a harassment claim at a job there has to be a continuing unwanted pattern. One lame pickup attempt which you rebuff with instructions for him to not do so again which he complies with is not sexual harassment. Email the guy back and tell him his email was unwanted and inappropriate and that you…

I've been married for 13 years and this sure sounds like rewarding bad behavior to me. He doesn't mention her having problems with the "workload" prior to his weightloss, so this seems like a bit of a stretch to me. Do what you need to do to get yourself healthy. I agree with the people who suggested to stop feeding her…

Rep number two I would have left it on him and told him how to do the roll of shame.

Everything I just quoted is wrong.

You spelled bulimic wrong.

Depending on how much weight you have to lose 20 pounds may or may not be visible to other people. I lost about 50 before anyone outside my immediate family noticed. That said, people are like crabs in a bucket. If you're trying to improve yourself and climb out of the bucket, most people will pull you back down to their…

The dreaded "starvation mode" huh? :P

Is he a bigger guy? If so he's probably feeling insecure and/or scared. I know in the past when my wife lost weight, or now when I'm losing, the other got nervous a bit worrying about changes in the relationship.

In my case MFP tells me to eat 2600. I'm eating 2200, with about 180g of protein daily. 2200 cals is plenty even not eating back exercise cals. If you're at a very low intake or close to your goal, you would probably want to eat them back yes. I don't make the assumption that what I'm doing is applicable in every situation.
-
I don't eat them back. Why do all that work for no extra loss as the reward?

They stopped losing because it wasn't possible to lose more and remain alive. If you don't look like one of those guys in the pictures from the study that's not what happening when your weight loss stops for a few weeks. When I hit my first "plateau", I sat there for a few weeks, then said, I need to change something, and…

If you're borderline diabetic he should be able to refer you to a diabetic educator. They'd be able to help you with meal planning. Ask his office for a referral.

I've lost over 70 pounds and friends/family I see often are the only ones who've said anything. EDIT: I'm still over 400 pounds so it's understandable though.

That's gotta be genetics in action.
