  • I buy my jeans from Torrid out of the clearance section. I'm not opposed to spending that much on jeans, but it seems pointless when my body is changing so much. I'd rather splurge when I can wear the longer. I have the unfortunate (or perhaps fortunate, who knows) dilemma of being full figured but with a small bust.…
  • WTG!!! Its ok, my first week I was like 'WTF I'M DYING' lol. Your body will adjust. The hardest part for me getting started was adjusting to a high impact exercise. My knees hurt for a good while but they don't anymore. Repeating each week at least once will be good for you as it ramps up come week 5. ;)
  • I really, really can't recommend the Couch to 5K program enough. I'm entering the last week (its 9 weeks) and I'm totally blown away by my progress. It is a program that starts you with very small goals. Week 1 is something like 30 seconds running, 60/90 seconds walking and you do intervals for half an hour. By week 9 you…
  • I arm myself with as much info as possible. I use this - http://www.dwlz.com/restaurants.html - as she has complied nutritional info on a TON of places. Mostly chains but still... There is also an app for smart phones that allows you to take a photo of the food you are eating and it makes an educated guess on the calorie…
  • How long have you been jogging/working on the treadmill? I started jogging and it took me at least 3-4 weeks for my feet and knees to adjust to the impact.
  • Hi all. My name is Kelli. :) I'm 5'9, started at 367 and I'm currently at 315, hoping to be somewhere in the 160-140 range. I lost majority of my weight while doing WW and changing how I ate. Now, I've added exercise with the C25K program, which I'm almost done with. Looking to add strength training soon.
  • We had 2% or sometimes 1% growing up, but I prefer and buy skim. I dunno, I prefer the taste -- at some point my tastebuds decided that anything was too thick and rich.
  • Eh, unless he said it reallllly creepily or was obviously trying to be flirty, I'd just let it go. Doctors work long days and see a lot of patients, I think its totally acceptable to blank out for a moment in that situation.
  • For me its a (unfortunatly) self conscious thing. :/ I have a lot of weight to lose and I'm afraid people would balk at what my daily calorie goals are and at the days where I'm not so good.
  • It's just something you have to learn to live with.... My husband is around 5'7 and around 140, so he's pretty thin. He's very self conscious about it, so it goes both ways. He's always been thinner than me and he probably always will be, even when I'm at my goal weight, as he is just that type that eats whatever he wants…
  • I also quit WW online in favor of MFP. The points system ended up being too abstract for me and I never got to the point where I could look at a food and make an educated guess about the points. I always found it much easier to count calories. Here's to hoping MFP works for you!
  • I'm 5'9, nearly 5'10 and will be pushing for the 150 - 160 range.
  • 6 or 7 weeknights. 5:30ish Friday and Saturday annnnnd 7 on Sunday. :D It depends on who I'm with, what I'm doing, etc. Eating late doesn't bother me and I don't mind eating a healthy snack later if I've had dinner early.
  • Day 1, Week 6 of C25K.
  • @allison_42 - Alyson Stoner (Cheaper by the Dozen)
  • It shouldn't be so surprising why books like the Hunger Games (books about distopias, the opposite of utopias) are popular. For example, I was a toddler when Operation Desert Storm occurred. 13 when 9/11 happened. My country has been at war my entire life. People are (and have been) scared of worldwide epidemics like SARS,…
  • I wouldn't worry. I had a "boyfriend" in fifth grade but all we did was hold hands and hang out at recess. Ask her what her idea of dating is, bet its harmless.
  • Water with either Crystal Light or Mio (which I haven't tried, but have heard good things about) Skim Milk Arizona products Pepsi Max (sparingly) V8 juices
  • I have a scale as well and I tend to check it a couple times a week, HOWEVER, it is not an obsessive thing -- I try not to deny myself things I want (in moderation, of course) and I'll pick what day during the week based on how my week is going. Weight is very fickle because it bounces around all day.... plus low weight…
  • Hi all, My name is Kelli, I'm 23 annnnd live in Indy (Fishers/Hamilton area). I'm a recent college grad, newly wed, and photographer. I just joined MFP today and I'll be using it as a supplement to Weight Watchers. I started WW back in March of 2011 and have lost 50 pounds -- I'm excited to keep losing and I'm hoping MFP…
