Actually, I check out this thread noting brands and what folk have to say about them. Great budget bikes: http://forums.mtbr.com/beginners-corner/post-your-less-than-%24400-mountain-bike-786777-5.html#post9515257 Most a second-hand from craigslist, ebay, garage sales. But an interesting peruse. < am jealous you are bike…

I've changed the setting from my name to "Darling". Now it says "Lets go Darling", "You Rock Darling". I dunno, it is still making me smile

Great job, ^5 I am approaching my original goal weight, hopefully soon. I was wondering today what I'll do when I reach it! Do I eat more or work out less, or strength train more. Never thought this far ahead.

If you look on my profile I uploaded a picture of the best pillow I've had in years. First night was brilliant and continues to be. I got this through a chiro for about $40. They come soft, medium and firm. If you search google or ebay am sure you can find similar. We have a tempurpedic mattress and pillow and I did use…

Last watched Dr Who when Tom Baker was the man (yup, I'm an old wrinkly) Bill Shatner is the only captain. Jean Luc is good, but even he becomes #1 when The Captain is in the room. BTW - The Daleks scared the living **** out of me

Also, when I first started getting the symptoms the pain was really unbearable. I would take strong painkillers at night just to get some sleep. Now the symptoms have regressed to annoying. But I do take one medicine still. Called Elavil, one at night. Is actually an old anti-depressant, but is now prescribed for nerve…

Dealing with it now and have had since March. To be accurate, bulging disk inC6-C7 and a little C6-C5. I got PT which included some traction. Also have modified my activity, to reduce eliminate anything hard on the neck. I do a little yoga so I skip a few poses. Not meant to play soccer anymore, but have become a…

I got my bag through a lucky draw at work, it has the company logo on it. If I were to buy a new bag, this would be one: http://www.amazon.com/OGIO-Big-Dome-Street-Duffel/dp/B001EYU50Q There are smaller bags, the Half Dome, etc. I have 2 Ogio messenger / laptop bags and they are superbly well made.

i've been listening to these tracks for literally years and never get tired of them for workouts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlLWFa1b1Bc http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o_bGZ4ohjDE&feature=related The secondtrack is such and uplifting love song, in an unlove-song kind of style. My cardio is stepper and the bpm is…

2 things help me: 1. I LOVE Skinny Cow snacks and ice cream. Usually 90 or 100 cals 2. Eat those snacks you do now, but enter each portion into MFP. Once you see how much cals each is it might help you to say no.

Quaker oatmeal, 90 seconds in the microwave. Boo ya, and done
-
Good luck Chris. One day at a time, one calorie at a time. One way MFP helps me is to track totals. Couple of time I've just gone too far. Instead of beating myself up I take my dog around the neighbourhood for an hour. Boo ya, "under his calorie limit". Hi paw, and off to bed feeling good. BTW - the dog loves it!

Not sure if the same kind of pain. But I had stiff knees, sore going down stairs but manageable going up stairs? I found pigeon pose in yoga very helpful for my knees. I told my yoga instructor about this and she was surprised as pigeon is mainly for hips. But your front knee is way out there and it must have stretched the…

Two things helped me, years ago, when I had shin splints: 1. Heel cups. Gel inner soles for your shoes, but only the heel part, not full foot. Not sure how/why it worked but it did. Like these: http://www.dhgate.com/gel-heel-cushion-massaging-heel-pads-cups/p-ff808081331b1ece0133205cfbe35e33.html 2. Stretching. Basically…
