As you lose weight, your calorie intake should go down. I am with arielle, every time I weigh, regardless of up or down on the scales, I update the weight in the "Goals" section just to make sure that my calories update accordingly.

Last year, I started doing the Biggest Loser @ my church and dropped about 35 pounds in 3 months. I was NEVER eating my exercise calories, always sticking in the 1200-1400 calorie range. Of course, when the contest was over, I returned to my way of eating prior to the Biggest Loser and gained all my weight back and then…

I personally grew up on Roman Meal Wheat Bread, but have been eating either Nature's Own Double Fiber Whole Wheat or 100% Whole Wheat. It is only 50 calories a slice, and actually tastes like bread.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... if it is an extra 650 "burned", how do you log that on exercise so you don't go over on calories?

sounds like you have hit a plateau...happens to all of us. May be time to change up your workout routine to give it some variety. I did that and have dropped an extra 5 pounds with it. Good luck

I average between 50-90 mg of protein a day, which per My Fitness Pal is actually more than enough. Normal meat is turkey, roast beef, or ham.

Then, if I were to change to more fruits and vegetables, which are naturally lower in calories, how would this increase my calorie intake?
-
meat is for dinner in the sandwich, fruit and veggies are the nuts, applesauce, and yogurt. plus I am taking a multi-vitamin everyday to help with anything i am not getting.

my normal daily calorie intake is this: breakfast - 225-290 (either cereal w/soy milk or a soy latte) morning snack - 100-290 (soy latte or a hundred calorie snack) lunch - 140-240 (cup of soup and cup of yogurt) afternoon snack - 160-280 (almonds and popcorn) evening meal - 155 (sandwich) night snack - 50-110 (cup of…

but what about the not being hungry. How am I supposed to eat when I am not hungry?
-
Both myself and my better half are overweight, so we are trying to lose weight for health reasons, among other reasons. I am almost to my goal weight, but am starting to plateau and am trying to figure out the reason why. If it is because I do not eat enough calories due to working out and not being hungry, with my eating…

Who is that directed to?

so, then you are supposed to eat ALL of your calories? no matter what you do? I thought that as long as you ate at least your minimum amount (1200-1700 calories, depending on what your gender is), that anything over that that was burned would help to lose weight. Why else would Biggest Loser have a "last chance workout"?…

I have been working my diet for 3 months now, and have lost 35 pounds, but have some concerns about my calorie intake. According to my goals, it says that I am supposed to be consuming approximately 1310 calories a day, with no exercising included to boost my calorie intake. My problem is, I have problems even hitting 1200…
-
wait a minute, how many calories should i be consuming? I have trouble even eating the 1200 a day, as I seem to stay full all day as it is. I drink an average of a half gallon of water a day, and eat 3 moderate size meals plus 2-3 small snacks a day, and even then i find myself having another 50-60 calories left to hit…

:explode: I HAVE had several days in the last 2 weeks that have had 3500-4000 mg, including today, mainly due to eating things that were I thought were healthy but had too much sodium. For example, I would eat something that is low in calories, fat and sugar, but it would have a huge sodium count. I can only fix my…

I have dropped some of the weight that i have intended, but have had several days where I have not realized th amount of salt that I had been taking in (including today). Is there any way to counteract the excess salt so I can lose weight or am I doomed to have a gain when i step on the scales the next time?

I am signed up for a 5k this weekend and am trying to determine if it would be better to walk the entire 5k or attempt to run it. I am in shape enough to walk the 5k (this much I do know, as I walk an average of 1-2 miles a day, but have nowhere near the stamina to jog or run the entire distance, as when I do walk 3+…

:explode: I have lost 25 pounds since the first of the year, and have about gotten under 200 for the first time in 8 years, but I have been hovering around 202-203 for the past week and a half. I have started working out 5 days a week, as opposed to 3 but still am not seeing any reduction in weight. Can someone please tell…
