I had about two weeks of crazy migranes in the first trimester which (fingers crossed) have gone away. I had to take tylenol on two of the days to be able to get from work to my house but other than that and two days of needing allergy meds I've been pretty medication-free.

I just read an article: http://www.latimes.com/health/boostershots/la-heb-fevers-pregnancy-autism-20120523,0,6934232.story It shows a link between pregnant moms who DON'T take medication to bring down a fever (just ride it out) and those that take Tylenol to reduce the fever faster. The women who did not take ibuprofen or…

My step-mom grew up in Wooster! She talks about it all the time

I've never thrown anything at anyone in anger other than maybe something when I was a kid at my brother.

Oooh, I HOPE that most of this weight gain is water! I'm going up faster than I thought I should considering I don't think I'm particularly overeating. I have another appointment on Wednesday too! Just a check-up with the heartbeat but the week after is my 20-week appointment with anatomy scan so that will be a nice long…

I've been feeling him for several weeks (somewhere around Week 14 or so I first started) but was wondering about when my husband will get to feel him from the outside
-
I'm reading "Eating Animals" and just finished "2001 a Space Odyssey".
-
When have other people been able to feel the movement of the baby? I can already feel him but my husband is anxious to feel him move from the outside. I'm trying to figure out how long that will take :)

Pretty sure the OP was just looking for friends who weren't insulting to women or trying to lose weight to be some sort of ideal figure...the rest of this thread just went CRAZY...

I will be doing as much as I can starting this afternoon (went and put a Splenda in my coffee this morning and used WishBone dressing at lunch so gotta start after that  ) Dinner I'm planning a whole wheat naan pizza with roasted veggies! Hope it turns out well. We* are not going completely cold turkey because we…

Hi all! As you can see from my pic, my eating habits now affect another person. I've dabbled in eating real/modified vegetarianism for awhile but it wasn't until my husband read "Eating Animals" that he got on board with me! That means we're in this together to raise our new family in the healthiest way we can. Glad to…

I love kale chips with olive oil instead of eating potato chips, they are REALLY easy to make. Preheat oven to 275 - chop kale into bite sized pieces, use an oil sprayer to lightly coat kale pieces and sprinkle lightly with sea salt or whichever seasoning you like. Bake for 20 minutes, flip, bake for another 10. SO GOOD

See my work has the FMLA and the short-term disability running at the same time so only 12 weeks total :( still though, that's way better than a lot of women get.

Just bought (used but clean) the start of my cloth diaper stash! She provided a ton of additional prefolds since she was trying to get rid of everything. VERY excited! 5 Bumgenius 2.0 pocket diapers with inserts (4 light blue and 1 yellow) 4 size medium Imse Vimse Organic cotton diaper covers (1 white, 2 farm animals, 1…

My first appointment I had a full gynecological exam and blood test. I had my OBGYN appointment at 8 weeks though, by 15 weeks I had already had one genetic screening and two ultrasounds so maybe they just wrap all those up for you? Not sure what your insurance covers.

I have a 2008 Kia Optima. I love it, it's slick looking without being too sporty and has a ton of trunk/passenger space.

Because he's annoying  I don't think that it's a girl's responsibility to keep ALL men in the world happy, sounds like a tough job, especially some rando coming up to her at the mall. And if he can't manage to be stronger then her then maybe he doesn't have what it takes to keep his genetic code going. Sometimes…

Pretty sure the "he needs to be arrested" comment was a joke, I don't see a whole lot of people blaming a two year old for anything, other then maybe being a little thick... but he was obviously being coaxed by the person behind the camera and set up for failure.
-
Still, you'd think the person behind the camera would have informed the boy that when someone tells him to stop touching then he needs to stop touching. Seemed like it COULD have been a good learning moment.

I'd be annoyed if I was the little girl...

Hi again! I'm glad to see that everyone is moving over from the 1st Trimester board, I've missed ya'll!

Congrats! October seems to be a boy-heavy month!

I'm 17 weeks and have gained around 6lbs depending on the day. I haven't noticed any of the weight gain outside of the areas that are supposed to increase with pregnancy, I still fit the same size (only now in maternity). As long as I stay within the 25-35 weight gain range I'll be happy :)

34 is not too old!

Just told my boss, so nerve wracking! He was really positive and agreed with my proposal for how to work my leave, so that's a relief. Totally out for 6 weeks while I've got pay, then working reduced (60%) time for the remaining 6 weeks of protected leave. That should hopefully get us to a good point. Then there should be…

Just wanted to update that we found out on Friday that we're having a boy! There's a family tradition against telling the name of the baby until after it's on the birth certificate, so let's just go with "Baby S"
