  • I'm signed up for a C-Section on Monday morning! There seemed to be way too many risks trying to turn a 39 +5 baby and I'd rather have him in the more controlled environment without the additional drugs. So much to do now that I know when he'll be here!
  • I'm happy  that we'll be seeing him on Monday and happy  that he will be healthy, just a little perturbed... :grumble:
  • Well my whole birth plan just went out the window...Doctor checked at 36 weeks and "thought" she felt a head and that lil' boy had finally flipped and said that I'd get a US at 37, at 37 they didn't think they needed to. No check of the cervix AT ALL at 37 or 38 weeks...GUESS WHAT?? Today at 39 weeks (a different) Doctor…

  • We've had a first name since we found out we were pregnant, taken us the last 8 months to try and figure out a middle one! I'm still not 100% in love with the one we picked but at least we both agreed on it
  • I've heard that it's common to get that before going into labor anyway because it helps make room. Good luck!
  • My doctor hasn't checked since 36 weeks but I have another appointment on Thursday (hopefully I don't make it ;)) I'm 39 weeks on Wednesday
  • I'm at 47 @39 weeks but I've been at the same weight since 37. I think he's pretty much done growing now *finger's crossed* so the last several weigh-ins at the doctor's office hasn't changed any. I'm so ready to 1. have this baby! and 2. get cleared by the doc to start exercising
  • I picked monsters before we knew the sex, we were trying to go pretty neutral with it (Dad loves to cook and I'm ex-military so we're not big on gender norms). I can't imagine the self-control to not find out whether it's a boy or girl!! I wanted to know as soon as I could :)
  • Nursery is finally done! Thanks Pinterest! (Monster Theme)
  • Nursery is all done! *edited to resize
  • Man...I've really been a slacker since I hit full-term. I just have no motivation for anything. Threw my knee out a couple days ago, apparently I am not used to the added weight and change in balance so I'm couch-ridden with an ice pack. Have my 38 week check-up tomorrow and hope I've had some progress. Didn't get checked…
  • 37 weeks and up 44lbs...*le sigh*
  • Welcome welcome one and all! I am SO READY for this guy to show up but I still have at least a couple of cooking weeks to go and we have a ton of work to finish doing to the house before the little feller gets here...not to mention we should REALLY pick out a middle name  My poor tummy skin is so itchy, anyone have…
  • Had my 36 week check-up yesterday and the little guy has turned around into position yay! Last week I went down and had the local police department check on my car seat so that's good to go now too. Started working from home last week which is a good thing because I'm awake from around 3:30am to 6am every morning and then…
  • My kiddo will be going to my mom if something happened. My BIL and SIL are awesome but they already have a 3 year old and twin 1 year olds and we don't have the life insurance to cover another mouth and my mom is pretty well off and totally healthy (not "too" old). I wouldn't trust my siblings with their OWN kids let alone…
  • Hard at the age of 3 to know, I didn't go to/have a big birthday party until I was older but I think that if you're going to invite some of the kids in a certain class (like more than just 1or 2 "best" friends) then it would be nice to invite them all You never know which parents will talk to which other parents "Billy is…

  • I'm right there with you! (well a couple weeks ahead but same track) don't worry, we'll kick it into gear after the kiddos appear

  • This has been a big year for my concert going too! I saw Transiberian a couple of years ago and they're great! I also saw Wicked for the first time this year :) We really lucked out with the Cirque tickets, my mom's office purchases tickets to events ahead of time in case there are visiting clients, etc. for them to take…

  • When I hear "strong, independent, woman" I never think of physical strength, I think of mental and emotional strength...
  • JLS - ooooh Madonna...saw Cher a decade ago and that was a fun concert! I'm heading to go see "Totem" which is the Cirque du Soleil show here in DC tonight. Going with my mom and she called ahead and had our seats moved to an aisle seat so I wouldn't bug anyone running to and from the bathroom
  • Whiskey (if you're underage)
  • According to internetz (which could NEVER be wrong )The gestation period of a human, from time of conception to birth is approximately 9 months (266 days/38 Weeks). 9.5 months is calculated from the first day of the last menstrual period (280 days/40 Weeks). Most full-term babies will come between 37-42 weeks A…
  • I hope to have mine up soon, have some finishing touches and a TON of stuff to put away!
  • Yep, wouldn't mind getting to pick his birthday  but I'd still be disappointed
