Valid point. I've definitely been feeling bloated and I can't seem to get enough water, I just keep chugging. My diet is pretty consistent, so I don't know if a sudden increase in sodium is very likely though. Still seeing high numbers on the scale today. The last of my antibiotics will be Sunday, so I guess I'll have to…

I agree. One bad day is not the end of the world. Just resume healthy eating and move on. Now if it starts to become a habit, that's different. But for this one indulgence, don't beat yourself up over it. :)

I like to do Chicken & Lentils in the slow cooker based on this recipe: http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/2009/10/indian-spiced-lentils-with-chicken-slow.html My husband was not overly excited when I first said I was going to feed him lentils but he really liked this.

First off: when you said you would need your boyfriend's support did you expand on what you mean by that? Because it could mean you want him to train with you or it could mean that you want him to encourage and motivate you. I didn't really get a sense of what you meant from your post. My husband is not an exerciser…

You are doing the same exercises with weights every single day? I would try alternating days - one day with weights, one day without (or even two for a while since it sounds like you may have been over doing it).

You could also just back off on those workouts. I really think doing 30 day shred every day is too much - you need time off in between to recover. I really enjoy DVDs that incorporate weights with cardio (The FIRM for example; Crunch Burn & Firm Pilates is also one of my favorites and is lower impact) but I wouldn't do…

I could use some more friends to keep me motivated too. :)

I've read similar articles before and I do agree that exercise alone won't make you thin. It's not news that diet is the bigger (and for me the more difficult) part of the equation. But. I do think that exercise is important for health and well being. Like the author of the article, I've been a regular exerciser for years.…

I know lots of people do the 30 day shred every day, but I don't really think you should. Unless you are using weights that are too light to make a difference anyway. I would alternate one day of shred with a day of cardio. Just my opinion. When you are strength training you should not be working the same muscles two days…

November was up and down for me, but the last week I just seem to keep going up and up and I'm not sure why. Granted, eating has been less than perfect, but I would have expected to just stay around the same. I started not feeling well around this time last week, and after a trip to the doctor last Friday I wound up on…

I'm curious as well. I honestly didn't find WW worked for me with the points program, but I'd like to know more about their new plan.

Congrats! You look lovely! :)

Great job so far! I know that it gets harder as you get closer to your goal, but hang in there! :)

What is wrong with people? I just cannot understand the mind that thinks mistreating animals like this is acceptable. Kudos to you for taking in the poor kitty.

My Mom has always been a healthy eater & exerciser but she is on cholesterol meds as well. I'm sure that a healthy lifestyle helps, but I guess it's not always enough. Good for you for making the effort though!

I find daily weigh ins can really help to keep me focused. Also, if it's my "official" weigh in day, and my weight is up for some reason, it's a lot less frustrating if I know that it was lower over the past few days. That's me. I know that for some people. a daily weigh in would be crazy-making. We're all different, so…

Hey everyone! I am 5 feet tall and would love to join in. I find it so hard to make any progress, and then the minute I let my guard down it seems like all my hard work is undone. October was a back-sliding month for me (just too much going on and I was overwhelmed) but I'm ready to start over. Right now I would just like…

Hi everyone! I've never joined a challenge on MFP before, and I'm not sure 5 lb in a month is doable for me, but I do need something to give me a kick start so I'm in! Will have to weigh myself tomorrow to get an idea where I'm starting from. October was a bit of a crazy month for me and I haven't been keeping track of…

It is most likely not a real gain. Your weight can fluctuate by several pounds from day to day, and there are many factors than can cause the number to go up. For one thing, a hard workout can cause your muscles to hold onto water. That would look like a gain on the scale, but within a day or two it will be gone. There are…

Not sure if it's been mentioned yet, but - in addition to the many other fabulous options - I like hummus on salad, in place of salad dressing. :)
