  • If you DON't have an eating disorder, why then does it appear that your daily calorie goal intake is 500 calories? And why then are you burning 250+ calories? Just curious what you consider an eating disorder as well? Jackie
  • I do this as well. Some calculators also tell you where to measure at as well. For one BMR calculator I discovered I was using the wrong measurement.
  • I so want to be in this group. I am five foot three, have broad shoulder and baby making hips. I currently weigh 232 and my "goal weight is 145. Not sure if I will go that low or not. A few years ago, and two full term pregnancies I was 167 and happy. So we will see how things go.
  • I'm 5'3" and 105.9 kilos/233pounds. My goal weight is 66kilos/145pounds. The smallest I have been in my adult life is 76kilos/167pounds. I was in an Australian size 14 at that time. Currently I wear an Austrlain size 18/20 depending on the cut and or store. I have wide shoulders and a large frame. I was happy at 76kilos…
  • I wear a Fitbit every day all day, except for baths or showers. I love it. I get a burnt calories for the day every night. It also tracks my sleep and tells me my sleep quality. I am absolutely in love with it. In fact I lost mine, and my husband got so sick of me complaining that I missed it, that he gave me his. When we…
  • Over the years I have had too many people be overly critical of the choices I make. Be it food or any thing else. I am very affected by criticism I get from others. It is something I try to let go, but for some reason I just can't. So my diary is closed. I keep it that way because I KNOW that if people said something to me…
  • I wouldn't try to. How much do you weigh though? Are you in a healthy weight range for your height? DO you know what your Body Fat % is. There are a lot of factors you should take into account. Jackie
  • The way I look at it is this, I'm not on a diet I am changing my attitude and relationship with and about food. I am re-training myself to eat healthier portions and foods. So there are days I cap my calories out with ice cream or a treat. I want to be able to sustain what I am doing for a long time.
  • One of the first memorable things my MIL said to me at a family dinner with my SIL's current BF in attendance was, "Oh it didn't surprise us that Ben married someone with big boobs." Talk about making an impression on me. Of course we had already been married almost two years had a child together and moved from the US to…
  • I absolutely love mine. I just recently lost it and will be replacing it as soon as possible. It gives you a great idea of your rough calorie burn a day, and you can get an average over a month. My husbands, which I am using at the moment doesn't sync well with his MFP. He basically ignored the net calories and just…
  • I love mine as well. In fact I lost mine two days ago. My husband was so sick of me saying how much I missed it that he gave he his till I can replace mine.
  • My calories are set at 2151. The F2F number for my maintenance at my goal weight. I have been loosing about a pound a week. Granted I have only been doing this for 2/3 weeks. I am happier and so much more energetic so I can take my daily walks that I like.
  • I would look at getting a Fitbit or Body Media Fit for an all day thing like that. From what I understand you only use a HRM when you are working out.
  • THIS read this. I am on atenolol as well. My Heart Rate was resting in the 100's before I started it, and I couldn't lose anything then.
  • You DO NOT eat 500 under your BMR, you eat 500 UNDER your TDEE. My BMR is 1472 but my TDEE is 2500-2700 depending on the day. I eat at 2000-2151 and am doing great. Not to mention I am not hungry and I can actually eat ice cream when I want to.
  • I'm on blood pressure medicine which lowers my heart rate and am losing fine. Although I am eating a heck of a lot more than you as well. I have my diary set for roughly 500 under my TDEE. Which I figured out using my FITBIT, which I lost yesterday, but that is a whole other thread. Ave you read the In Place of a Road Map…
  • http://weightloss.com.au/articles/exercise/how-much-exercise.html ^^^try reading that^^^ I do think it is better to lose slowly so that you adjust and re-train your body and mind to the "better" way to look at food consumption. Jackie
  • When I was using my Wii the kids only asked once what I was doing as I stripped my clothes off. After that I think they just rolled eyes at crazy mommy woman. I just wear my bra and panties now. Had to move the scales to the hallway so that they would be on a flat smooth surface. Out bathroom has little tiles and the…
  • Um wouldn't have talking to you about it been better? Did your parents agree to this padlock escapade he did? Cause that is just plain rude. I would so be making more noise, cause let's face it, he should sleep somewhere else. :grumble:
  • I'm in Australia and bought mine over Amazon. I had to search a bit for one that would ship internationally. Only problem I have had is that I lost my wrist band. In order to get a new one I had to provide a us shipping address and phone number. So I guess jut don't lose anything.
  • I have been using my Fitbit for about a month now. I usually only get an adjustment for about 250-500 a day. Although I am more active than I realised I was. I was able to up my calories to 2051 and that is still with a deficit at the end of the day. Usually I only make about 1900 or so though. I make sure to net above my…
  • Bump, cause I wanna know what happens as well.
  • I can't even do the thin thing. Honestly I can't even get past the smell. My hubby who is Australian loves the stuff. Also made his mum send him some when we lived in the US.
  • I love my Fitbit. I have been wearing it for almost a month now. You can get a really good rough estimate of what your calories in versus calories out are. If you link one with MFP it sends data back and forth. I love mine. Have it on me at all times, other than baths now.

  • NO DON'T TRY THE VEGEMITE. Okay I am joking. But being an ex pat American who is now an Australian, I still CAN'T eat that stuff. You shouldn't have problems getting healthy foods. There are also a few prepackaged yummy low cal desserts as well. Oh another thing, you can actually get the exact calorie counts on things like…
  • I have a Fitbit so have a rough idea of mine. I burn between 2300 and 2400 on my laziest day. I don't think there is really anyway to find out unless you have a Fitbit, BodyBugg or Body Media Fit. Well yeah like they said below me, you can do one of the calculators. I found that I was burning more than they told me I was,…
  • ^^^ yeah that, and if you fall below your BMR with exercise DO eat back those calories.
  • A pound is actually 3500 calories not 2500. Are you eating back your exercise calories? I have recently upped my calories, and lost over a pound last week eating between 1800-2000 calories. It is possible that you are eating too few calories. Read through this post…
  • I'm in southern NSW and have been using my Fitbit for a month now. I will try and figure out how to add you. Oh I got mine from Amazon, my husband has one as well. I just had to request a replacement wrist band for mine. Lost it somehow two weeks ago. Jackie Just sent you a friend request
