I know this feel. If you're more of an hourglass shape, juniors clothing (even the supposed "curvy cuts" are not your friend) is not your friend. I've had some luck with the juniors/misses overlap (like a size 5/6 for example), but otherwise look for even numbered sizing. Research jeans or pants that fit your body type…

I don't think it's even a phenomenon. Two years later, I'm pretty sure the "whoosh" is just a pattern of weight loss. I think everybody has at least one sort of "surprise!" weight loss when eating at a deficit, and it got a FUN NAME.

I'm sorry for your loss.

Swollen gland?! Did they do an ultrasound?

I'm the same way. I want OP to post pics! I'm jelly over here.

Your bloodwork may be normal, but your thyroid/dosage hasn't caught up yet. The unfortunate thing about thyroid hormones is that it's all a bit of a waiting game. You could have gotten perfectly normal levels, feel shirlitty... than feel fine in a month as your symptoms alleviate. Blood level readings for hormones are…

Absolutely on point. For any that might benefit, I made a "Weight Fluctuation" entry to note these changes rather than have my ticker fluctuate (and trigger any crash dieting or over-exercising). That tracking has saved me a few near meltdowns from hopping on the scale and has made me far more aware of how my body reacts…

OP, this was a well-done post. If you wrote a blog on it, I guarantee it'd be highly voted--it's well worth reading. Too bad people are revealing their stunning levels of intelligence by failing to read more than five words. Or, you know, failing to understand literary devices.

WELL GUESS WHO JUST GOT ON THE NO-FLY LIST.

Needs to be? Let's be real. She's clearly at a healthy BF% and is just sitting awkwardly. How is an emoticon even indicative of butthurt? Your post seems like such an oddly defensive reaction.

Bow down to your true mesomorph, you filthy casuals.

It said 20% smaller than I thought, "perfect hourglass" and first figure, but I don't know if this is as accurate as it could be based on other responses and my own pictures. I'm sure the intent is good, but even the poses of the figures vary slightly. Plus, I hate when any sort of quiz/diagramming doesn't allow "half"…

Should I sleep with a bed pan then!?

I agree! That's why I said the phrase gets misused.

I can almost guarantee the former. Longterm starvation, being underweight, then recovery? What do you get? Plenty of people, on this site alone, who have an altered metabolism, lack of LBM and an inability to use the old methods to get to the low weight from when their eating disorders were at their highest. And eating…

Cupcakes are fattening from the calories, not the fat. Fat happens to contribute more calories in bang for buck, but don't get it twisted: the calories from the carbs, sugar, etc. are also contributing. Achrya's recommendations are good for reducing calories. Working on reducing sugar and/or using sugar substitutes is…

Nah. We all like who we like. There's diversity desired in the gene pool just like there's the people who get together who get mistaken for siblings *cough* It's not wrong to want people like you, and it's not wrong to want people different. In fact, a good balance of both in one's life is probably the key to not…

Omg. Not only racism, but disrespect of you being goddamn married. AND A LIE, YOUR BUTT IS GREAT. :explode: RAGE FOR YOU.

Okay, at the most fundamental, people going for people like them is the root of mate selection in evolutionary biology. On a less impersonal level, people seek out similar body types, heights, clothing sizes, etc. to them in other people; race and ethnicity both can result in different body struggles, cultural issues, etc.…

Hear that PTSD sufferers?! Take responsibility for your trauma-induced anxiety and depression! Just go swimming and eat some kale and you'll feel all better!

Key thing here: you're smaller. Yes, yes, weighing our food, measuring our food, we might be eating more than we think. Which you should do, to eliminate all variables in the future for why weight loss might not be going as smoothly as you want. That is, 9 times out of 10 (perhaps more than this), the reason someone isn't…

If you're feeling uncomfortable, get yourself at least one or two new bras. Make sure you're in the RIGHT size bra (Nordstrom, boutiques, etc. are all good places to get measured; you can also measure and determine yourself at home, following good guides you can find on http://www.reddit.com/r/ABraThatFits/wiki/fit_guide).…
