Squeezed in an abbreviated bike ride first thing before heading out to the oncologist. Catch you ladies later! :glasses:

Had a productive day and thanks to biking this morning, ended the day with a surplus of calories. Feels SO GOOD to be back on track again!

:noway: Wow... a gal misses a few days and it takes a long time to catch up. Birdie I understand what you are going through. We downsized out of the home we thought we would live forever in just a few weeks before my Dad died. Other than losing my parents, it was THE HARDEST thing I ever did. Guess you could call it the…

Finally MAKING time to participate in this thread after months of absence. I have been back on track for a week now but was waiting for the new month to rejoin this thread. I'm back to what I KNOW works for me and am reclaiming my life. Not going to make excuses or try to justify how I got derailed.... Just doing it! So…

Just popping in to catch up on posts then heading out to the flowerbeds. I'm converting about a 40' x 40' piece of former lawn into a flower garden so there's lots to do before planting can even begin.

Between our recent trip to help hubby's Aunt do some Spring fixing up around the house and getting my flowerbeds plant-able (is that a word?) and then planted this past week, I just haven't had much time to be online. Skimming the thread you are certainly a motivated, encouraging group of ladies! :flowerforyou: I got my…

Gonna be out of town through Tuesday. Happy weekend y'all!

I've had cats (and dogs) ALL my life, but only recently discovered a product that actually does the job. OdoBan. I used it on my Mom's clothes while she was in the nursing home. It was the only thing that would completely remove the smell when she had accidents. As for the carpet, the problems is most likely the pad below…

If your computer has decent speakers and is near where you exercise my aI suggest Pandora Radio. It is a free online radio where you can create a station that plays most any kind of music you like. Here is the link: http://www.pandora.com/#/genres/top

I just don't have the energy to respond to everyone's posts. Everyone seems so energetic and motivated. I feel like I have molasses in my veins. Between time change and springtime allergies my get up and go has got up and went. I may have to resort to caffeine! Today's exercise will be climbing up and down a ladder washing…

I have been on the run all day. Spent tee morning at the vet with my jogging partner, Sophie and our calico, Violet. Originally the appointment was only supposed to be for Violet - her annual exam and vaccinations. But yesterday Sophie started hacking again and since we are boarding them for a long weekend soon I needed to…

Off to my annual poke and prod session. I KNOW I'm healthier this year than I was last year and weigh less too. Anxious to see what the dr days....

After working in the flowerbeds almost all day, I had more than enough calories to eat a steak without guilt tonight. I plan to continue yoyoing my calories and see if it continues to work. Don't want to give the impression I have stopped exercising. I just am listening to my body now and allowing myself to rest when…

Happy Saturday to you all! :flowerforyou: I am thrilled to say that as of today all the weight I regained between Thanksgiving and Valentines Day is now gone. It took 3 weeks of dedication to do it but I'm finally back to where I was when I left for the beach in early November. I tried something I had never done before…

Been working on taxes. so decided to take a break and catch up on the thread while sipping a berry smoothie. I add half a scoop of whey protein powder to bump the nutrition. I haven't gotten back into a daily exercise routine since having the stomach flu. Reading what all you ladies are doing makes me want to though.

I've been cleaning like a crazy woman since I got some energy back. Hubby is on nights, and didn't get called out last night, so today he went shopping with me. We made most of the local lumber yards looking for potential floor coverings. We found some ceramic tile for the foyer and sun room we both really like and a great…

For the past few days I've had absolutely NO PROBLEM staying under my calories but no energy to do any exercise either.... stomach flu will do that to you! I was fine at 11:00 am Friday but by 3:oo I was hugging the toilet. Good news is between detoxing and stomach flu, it doesn't take much to fill me up! I…

Came down with something yesterday and have been napping the days away. At least when I am sick I am not tempted to over eat. No energy to even read the thread.

You are right it tastes nasty! Some prefer to mix it with water or juice, but I'd rather take a spoonful of something nasty than try to choke down a whole glass full of it diluted or deal with the extra calories and carbs of mixing it with enough honey to make it palatable. So I always have a cup of very cold water ready…

Have you considered buying the dark chocolate ones and keeping them in the freezer? You'll be surprised how satisfying just 1 can be if you pop it in your mouth and let it slowly melt instead of chewing it up. Just sayin

I certainly hope not! We bought this place planning for it to be our keeper... but then, who knows what the future holds for any of us... I've learned to never say never! Once we get the floors redone, the exterior doors replaced and the flowerbeds back in shape, it will be perfect! Hubby will have to pry me outta here…

In February I lost 6 of the 8 pounds I put on between Thanksgiving and Valentine's Day. My goals for March are: 1. Lose at least 1 pound a week 2. Keep simple carbs OUT of my diet and drink enough water 3. Do strength training twice a week 4. Stay active every day. I am eating tuna salad while I read this thread.…

Sipping a fruit smoothie before running out the door to take my FiL, who has myleoplastic syndrome, for a transfusion. Last night I had my first true test since detoxing. It was ladies night at the movies at church and there was frito pie fixins and every kind of candy or theatre type snack imaginable. I took an apple and…

Thanks for the welcome back. :flowerforyou:  My heart goes out to Chiclet, I remember all too well the stresses of caring for Moma and the toll it took on me physically and emotionally. At that time in my life my something to look forward to was a 30 minute workout, usually walking around the neighborhood . When I…

Our days here are getting milder, even though we are still having frigid nights. Hubby and I have been working on the flowerbeds on his days off ripping out overgrown, beyond help shrubs and pruning what's left. The goal is to have the beds ready for planting by last frost date in mid-April. Today is my last day of detox.…

I've been AWOL since our move but I'm back now. I went WAY off the reservation between Thanksgiving and Valentines so I am just finishing up the 10 day detox I USUALLY do at the beginning of each year. :blushing:

Home from a week at the beach and now staying busy packing and running my FiL for dr appointments and tests. We close on our new house Friday and the moving van arrives Monday. I had a wonderful time, but gained a couple of pounds. It'll be awhile before I have time to update regularly so for now here's a beach photo for…

Yesterday my phone stopped working so I spent most of the morning finding out I needed a new one and getting it replaced. Slipped in to see Tanner late yesterday afternoon after spending the afternoon in the dr's office with my inlaws. He was on a morphine drip and sort of loopy, but looked much better than I expected him…
