  • That's a great idea. I may just have to try that out today and see how I feel.
  • Today I will: Run 2 miles in addition to the 30-day shred Eat better -- because yesterday was not so good Make it to 10k steps, because today peaked at about 6k.
  • So, late to the party again, I got on a scale this weekend and it was 146lbs. I'm hoping some of that is water weight with DOMS.
  • Using 3lb weights here. I have 5s, but wouldn't make it through the last half of the side-lunges with shoulder raise if I sized up.
  • yep. I'm short--5'1.75"-- and prefer the petite sizes to the regulars. I end up cutting off 6-8 inches on regular sizes. I've done a lot of sewing as a result. I also find that I like dresses, favoring 40s-50s fashion. I love the tailored waist and flare that accentuates curves in a very feminine way.
  • Today I will: 30-day shred Run 2 miles Stay under calorie goal 10K steps :) And extra credit for tomorrow: repeat today's goals
  • I noticed that US sizes were weird last time I was home--whereas I had been wearing medium-sized clothes all of a sudden they were SO big! I'm in just about the same boat, wearing a 38 (US size 8?). My pants always gap at the waist but are snug at the hip/thigh. I notice weight loss in my chest first.
  • Mons, HT is city of Mons in Hainaut province, Belgium. It's near the border of France in the French-speaking southern part of Belgium. I'm American, just happen to live here for the time being for work. And yes, for most things I use the Metric system here, but recognize that the US uses the Imperial system (thank you…
  • Hello! I've been likewise bad about getting on a scale. Looking to get back on the Saturday=weigh day trend again. I think I've lost some weight -- my face looks thinner -- but gained some muscle. Might be a wash.
  • Feeling kind of stiff today -- not full-on DOMS, but definitely the "you did something yesterday" sort of feeling. Will be back for day 2 today. Using a very light weight, 3lbs each, to start; will graduate back up to the 5/10lbs as I go.
  • I try and stay at 1200 net calories, meaning that I eat back the calories I exercise (at least most of them). I find that to be a manageable solution. If I try for 1200 total, I find it unsustainable with any level of strenuous exercise.
  • I'm not sure that my measuring tape is accurate.... I thought about it last night when I did my measurements and thought "Gee, this seems small." Of course, I then thought, "well, if I use the same tape when we're done, it's really the difference between the two that counts." I couldn't find my normal tape measure (for…

  • Completed day 1. :)
  • Hello again! See you back on Friday!
  • No worries with the hectic schedule -- we've all been there! Enjoy your time out!!
  • Welcome to a new month!! Goals for today include: - run 2 miles - stay under calorie goal - stretch 30 min I decided that it's time I was flexible again. I will be working toward being able to do splits up a wall. Right now I'm just trying to get back to doing them on the ground.
  • * Run 2 miles * stay under calorie goal
  • [quote="chubbard9;32655614" I've heard yoga is such a good idea, and I really want to try it one day!!! I would give myself a 10k goal, but I know I will screw it up if I aim for it. Lol [/quote] Yoga is great!! I find it's a nice balance to running. It uses your body weight for the resistance and there's no such thing as…
  • I like the idea of posting a week's challenges. 5/27/2015: - Stay under calorie goal - 10K steps - light jog (1-2 miles) - 30+ min Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga
  • Good morning! Checking in here: I've been doing pretty well with the running -- went 4 times last week and twice already this week. Today's another beautiful day, so I'm hoping to get out there and jog a bit, maybe do yoga outside. I'm sore from my run yesterday so it will be light today. The weight progress is not as…
  • My stats from this morning: Starting Weight: 152 Current Weight: 145.4 Goal Weight: 130 Loss: 6.6 Weight to Goal: 15.4 Not much loss from last week --- but hopefully this week will be better being home all week and pumping up the workouts.
  • Hi Christine! I was so pleased when I saw you started a group -- it's only been this weekend when I was finally back from all of my travel and recovered today that I could go find the group and join.
  • Sounds like a great goal!! And welcome! (I joined today too)
  • I'd love to be close to 140, say 141-142. I also want to get back to running regularly (it's been really hit or miss with running once a week being the average).
  • Hello ladies! I'm Jace. Starting Weight: 152 Current Weight: 145.6 Goal Weight: 130 Loss: 6.4 Weight to Goal: 15.6 Intermediate goal is 140. I've been averaging about a pound a week for the last month, but with a crazy work schedule it's a fight to lose and keep it off.
  • White Mouse. So not inspiring fear in the heart of criminals anywhere.
  • Constant traveler here too -- work in multiple cities regularly, sometimes every other day! The worst is trying to schedule good eating and regular workouts around an irregular schedule. Even being able to think ahead and pack a lunch some days, nothing ruins planning like a 3hr meeting scheduled between 11am and 2pm…
  • For me, the time of year changes the time of day I'm running. Spring and fall are most forgiving, the weather's lovely for running more often than not -- cool enough to go in the middle of the day, warm enough to run in the morning. A little rain is no trouble with a hat, and light layers keep you cool/warm enough. Summer…
  • Thanks all! I've heard some very good things about Zombies, Run! and am looking forward to it as soon as I can.
