you sound a lot like my dad. He is 6'4" also and always weighed between 250 and 300 my whole life. He was a highschool football coach and definitely also has that build of a big football player!. Just recently, he decided he wanted to change. He is now down to 205 and says it's the lowest he's been in 30 years. What he has…

Go for it! You are giving yourself a healthy amount of time to work up for it, and signing up for it will keep you focused on running. Just make sure to get a good pair of running shoes, an ipod with some fun songs, and set a time everyday that is YOUR time to train for it! We are here to cheer you on! GOOD LUCK!!!!

Sounds delicious, I'm going to try this one this weekend!

I agree with what everyone else has been saying, but to add on, make sure to eat a couple hundred GOOD calories every 2 - 3 hours. Sometimes before bed, if I feel hungry, I like to eat a couple spoonfulls of low fat cottage cheese. It's not good to go to bed starving because while you sleep, you're fasting anyway. And if…

GOOD CHOICE!!! I wish you the best of luck!! You are definitely doing this the healthy way  We are all here for you too!!!

I don't know much about the green envy. It won't hurt you by any means, just because it is loaded with nutrients... but I do know that fish oil is VERY good for you. I take it every single day and have for years! Sounds like you're definitely doing the right things for your body nutrition wise tho!

I definitely find myself having the same problems!! I have started doing things to help out, like running first thing in the morning. That way, I know that I feel good about myself and allways want healthy food to eat. Also, don't buy it... as good as it looks in the store, it's gonna get eaten. If I eat one m&m I'm going…

Congrats! :flowerforyou: I am hoping one day, my husband and I will be able to announce that wonderful news too! We have been trying for 2 years now, so I can only imagine how excited you are!!! I heard that the first trimester actually, you don't really have to be too concerned about eating anymore calories... some people…

GREAT POST!!! thanks

Something else to think about when it comes to the weightloss problem, would be stress. I have read a few of your posts, and it seems like it's really been stressfull, which I can't blame you for, I get that way too! But I would try some yoga and deep breathing along with lots of water to help with that. I also suffer from…

I would try low intensity workouts. Instead of jumping into it and pushing 100%, try to ease into it. Maybe lift 5 lb weights while you're sitting or watching tv or something, or go for a nice slow paced walk or swim or something along those lines, so that way you're getting some sort of workout in, but not pushing…

Awesome! I'm in! I get off work at 6:30 AM and will make sure I run a couple miles before bed, then my insanity workout later that day... I might just have to clean my truck too!, and pound that water! Weekends always kill my hard work for the week. Friends get together and eat and drink. This will keep me in line! WOOT…

I work the night shift and have for a year now. At first I thought it was going to be great money wise, because we won't have to pay day care for the kids, but it is SO exhausting. I think the biggest reason I can't lose weight is because I can't sleep to recover. I work out very hard but my sleep schedule sucks! And then…

I'm so happy their are other people out there struggling with the night shift routine too. I work 10 pm to 6 am. I have found that I eat dinner with my family at 7pm and then bring two protein shakes or fruit. I drink my first around midnight and then one at 4 or 5 am before I go home so I'm not eating right before bed.…

Just sent my request now!!

I just finished with day 2 workout of insanity and it was AWESOME! I feel great. The best high in the world. Their was a few moments today where I had to stop in the middle and rest, but overall, pushed myself as hard as I could! Good luck to everyone else today!
